Question: As in all Pixar films, in this one they have the main cast listed, then very far down in the credits they have additional character voices. I was very surprised to see the name Chris Rock under additional voices. Who does he play?

Answer: I think you've got things a bit confused. Chris Rock isn't listed under "Additional Voices" but under "Lighting Artists". I'm pretty sure that he is not THE Chris Rock.

Question: Why was the original composer Alan Silvestri fired?

Answer: On 1/21/05 in "Battling Monsters with Alan Silvestri" an interview by Ron Goldwasser, Mr. Silvestri explains that he was hired by Gore Verbinski for the Jerry Bruckheimer film and in the end, "I think Jerry was much more comfortable working in a way that he had worked historically, with people he had worked with historically, and it seemed the best idea for us to part our ways." He further stated it was just not the right chemistry but the parting was not acrimonious. Full interview can be found at: http://www.soundtrack.net/features/article/?id=137.

Question: In the scene at the ruined house, what is Ray doing in the closed room while his daughter is closing her eyes and singing?

Answer: Tim Robbins was shouting quite loud (and losing his mind) and Ray did not want the aliens to discover their hiding place. He therefor had no choice but to kill (or possibly beat unconscious) Robbins in order to keep his daughter safe. Rachel was told to sing so she would not hear what her father was doing.

Answer: Sara is watching "Jerry Maguire" released in 1996. Check out http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116695/ for more information.

Question: Bond kills Kananga at the end by placing the bullet with the air pellet in his mouth which causes him to inflate and explode. But Bond had the bullet in his own mouth before when he was concealing it. Why didn't it kill him?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Bond just stored the bullet in his own mouth to hide it. As he puts it in Kananga's mouth he presumably pulls a pin, or forces Kananga to bite it.

Soylent Purple

Question: In the scene where Draco was struck by Buckbeak. You see Hermione run up saying to take him to the hospital. If you look she has the timeturner outside of her shirt. Isn't the timeturner supposed to be a secret?

mrslaura

Chosen answer: She wears it as a necklace. Anyone knows that a necklace can pop out of your shirt at anytime. She was just careless. Anyhow I doubt any of the others around her would know that it was a timeturner and probably didn't notice it at all.

Mortug

Question: Is Senator Palpatine aware of Queen Amidala's use of decoys to protect herself?

Cubs Fan

Chosen answer: There's no indication one way or another. It's not particularly likely that he's ever been briefed on her security arrangements, but he's familiar enough with Amidala that his force abilities would be able to tell him that it wasn't her if he encountered her decoy at some point.

Question: If I wanted to read about the events that took place between III and IV, what would be the most accurate and authorized book or series of books to read?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: There aren't any at the moment, as the books have been under orders to stay away from that time period. There will, however, be books coming out in the near future that deal with that timeframe.

Question: Why did Senator Organa want to wipe away C-3PO's memory? Was it to further ensure that Luke and Leia's existence would be kept a secret?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: I would say it was mostly done to fill a plot hole with the original Star Wars. If his memory wasn't erased then C3PO would have recognized Owen Lars and Aunt Beru in the original Star Wars. Plot-wise, I'm sure the justification is safety.

Question: Other than maybe galactic domination, why does Shinzon want to destroy Earth? He was a human, created and enslaved by the Romulans? Why is he so bent on killing everyone on Earth?

wizard_of_gore

Chosen answer: Earth is the headquarters of Starfleet, and the de facto capital of the United Federation of Planets. As Picard says at one point in the movie, "If you destroy Earth, you cripple the Federation." Shinzon wanted to remove the biggest threat to the Romulan Empire so he could gain sympathy and support from the Romulan people, so they would support his rule.

Answer: Shannon seems to be based partly on Mordred from Le Morte d'Arthur and partly on Ming the Merciless from Flash Gordon. Ming had nothing against Earth, and Mordred had nothing against Camelot. Villains are just into conquering and destroying. It's what they do.

Question: What type of Allied fighter destroyed the units vehicles? It doesn't look like any allied combat aircraft I've seen before.

AdmRose

Answer: It's a Yugoslav Soko 522 Ikarus.

Chosen answer: From the markings it looks like a P47 jug. Strange thing is it was equipped with rockets, which I have only seen outfitted on the P-38 lightning and the P-51 Mustang. Kelly's is a great movie but far from historically accurate. There is a country song Odd Ball Plays as the blow up the rail yard that not even close to having been released at the time.

James Rowell

Question: How did Balian, a peasant, get to be literate at the beginning of the film, before he leaves with his father? He reads what's carved into the wooden beam over his workplace.

Krista

Chosen answer: Who says he was reading it, someone could have told him what it said, so he knew what the beam says rather than read it.

jennie87

Question: How much time supposedly elapses between Roxie's arrest and her being acquitted of the murder charge? I have a hard time with the "fake pregnancy" element. We know Roxie was faking it, but if at least a few months had passed between her arrest and her announcement - much less between her trial and arrest - she was so thin that even a pregnancy of a few months (or lack thereof) would be noticeable to anyone who looked at her.

Kimberly Klaus

Chosen answer: Pregnancy or lack therof would have been noticeable you think, but I am a size 8(aust) and gave birth 8 weeks early, still wearing size 10 clothes - unless I told people I was 7 months pregant they did not know.

panda

Chosen answer: There appears to be no music in common between the trailers - there are, however, tracks by the same group, Immediate Music, which may well have sounded very similar due to their common source. The track used in the Fantastic Four trailer is called "Spiritus Elektros", with "Ultimatum" used for King Kong. Other music used in the FF trailer includes a track from The Matrix: Revolutions" and one with the rather unwieldy name of "Counting Bodies Like Sheep To The Rhythm of The War Drums" by A Perfect Circle.

Question: After Napoleon realizes Uncle Rico told Deb about the breast enhancer stuff, what type of fruit does Napoleon throw at Rico's van?

Answer: Palmelo grapefruit.

Answer: It's either an orange or a grapefruit.

Grumpy Scot

Question: I haven't seen the start of this film, so could someone please tell me why Michael doesn't appear in this movie at all? Him and Mia seemed to be dating, but then she goes off and marries someone else. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Answer: At the very beginning she says "As for Michael? Well we're just friends now as he went touring with his band." So they lost touch as he became too busy.

Scary Godparents - S2-E13

Question: During the bit were its raining sweets at the end, is that the music from Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory?

Answer: It's not the exact music but it is similar enough to be recognisable as the song 'Pure Imagination', sung by Gene Wilder in the original Willy Wonka movie.

Question: One of the Trivia entries for Phantom tells of a reference to Cats in "Masquerade." Well, I have yet to find it. Can someone be more specific about where it is, or perhaps include a time code? And are the actors really dressed like cats from the show, or do they only show a vague resemblance?

Answer: The scene is at about 01:18:44. It's when they sing "FACES! Drink it up, drink it in..." They are dressed like cats, but not the cats from the show, and they merely strike a pose similar to a promotional poster of the show.

Answer: The release of the DVD was delayed because of legal issues over the Eric Stoltz footage, which was eventually removed. Stoltz can, in fact, be glimpsed in the final film: in the scene where Marty jumps into the DeLorean to escape the Libyans, that's actually Stoltz.

Sierra1

Answer: There are (or were) clips of the Eric Stoltz footage on YouTube.

raywest

Answer: There's also the scene where Marty is driving the Delorean in an attempt to escape from the Libyans. A close look at the driver reveals that it's Eric Stoltz.

Answer: Yes, in the final film. When Marty punches Biff in the cafe there is a quick shot focused on Biff. If you put it on extreme slow motion the hair is darker, unlike Fox's brown hair and a slightly different skin tone, unlike Fox's bright skin.

Question: When one of the characters shoots an arrow and then says, "We're from Georgia", what does he mean?

Answer: Will Scarlet says, "My whole name is Will Scarlet O'Hara. We're from Georgia." Scarlet O'Hara is a character from "Gone with the Wind" which is set in Georgia.
