Question: How accurate, bar the dancing obviously, is the Portobello Road presented in the film compared to how it could/would have looked in the real August 1940?
Answer: Don't know what it was like in the forties, but we were there in 2010. Wonderful place to visit. So animated. Not only were their vendors, but there were Street entertainers as well. What I found amusing was before you get to the part of Portobello Road where there were these vendors, you had to go past the stately homes with gated grounds. Expensive cars with pull into the drives. Wouldn't happen here in the United States.
Question: Is it ever established why the Kaiju attack cities? Why they perceive a challenge, a threat, a resource worth taking there specifically? If they are a decent biochemical match to Earth life, and are hungry, why don't they attack schools of fish, or fishing/whaling vessels, if nothing else, they should attack the cannery row? If they are after a non-living resource, like minerals, why don't they root through the seabed or attack mines?
Chosen answer: Because they are scouts for an invasion of Earth from another dimension. They are testing our response to their arrival and military capabilities and the best way to attract military attention is to attack population centers.
Question: When Professor Snape first talks to Harry about Occlumency, what is he doing with the leather belt thing on the table? He only points his wand at Harry when he casts a spell; it's unclear why anything in the belt was necessary.
Question: In the movie at the 93 minute mark there is a white frame for a few seconds. What is the significance of that?
Answer: When David's life flashes before his eyes.
Question: When they're in Paris, and the three-wheeler (I forget his name) sees them, he makes an attempt to escape. If he was on their side, why'd he try to get away from them?
Answer: There was another car with the three wheel car. He was probably just being incognito to help them. In other words if the lemons found out he was working for Finn, he would be targeted.
Question: It is said that in the original script, Julie the babysitter was meant to be Freddy's pawn, and even though they removed that part, there are still elements in the film that point fingers at her. What are some of these elements?
Chosen answer: Mostly just very subtle hints. In the beginning when she arrives right around the same time that Heather gets a call from the psycho-stalker, suggesting a possible connection. And the fact she's alone with Dylan many times during the film, as she could be subtly manipulating him to act out.
Still Charmed & Kicking - S8-E1
Question: How did the charmed ones save themselves from dying in the nexus with Zankou when everyone thought that they died?
Chosen answer: Because they used the spell Prue developed so the others could use the astral projection power. It was their astral selves and those can't die.
Question: Why did Thade kill the two apes that were with him after they showed him the trail left by Leo's pod?
Answer: To prevent anyone else from learning that Leo came from space. After Pericles' ship crashed, there was a prophecy of a second coming of Semos, the founder of Ape civilization. Thade wants to kill all humans, so if anyone found out, it would be considered a sign and the council might consider making peace with the humans.
Question: Wallace's briefcase has a sticker upon it saying: Blackpool, Bognor and Beaconsfield. To what do they refer?
Chosen answer: Bognor Regis and Blackpool are seaside towns, so presumably, those are places Wallace and Gromit have been on holiday in the past. Beaconsfield is an inside joke: It's where the National Film and Television School is located and a number of scenes were filmed there.
Question: Near the end, when Nux flips the War Rig, the Doof Wagon smashes into it and the guitar is flung forward. What happened to the Doof Warrior that was playing the guitar?
Answer: Presumably he is killed. He is attached to the truck with bungee cords and has no protection from the force of impact in the crash, which is sufficient to break the rig into pieces. There is no way he could have survived the crash.
Question: Is it realistic that Mars vehicles like Mark's rover or in some scenes his handcart would use rubber tyres? No Mars rover before used them and I would think they could not stand the low Martian atmosphere and temperature differences.
Chosen answer: Whatever was used before on Mars is irrelevant as to date, only robotic vehicles have been used. As this is depicting how humans would live and function on Mars, the vehicles would be designed quite differently. Presumably, the "rubber" tires have been specially manufactured to withstand Martian conditions. Mostly likely they would be solid and not have an inner tube filled with air or some other gas that is affected by the atmosphere.
Fast Enough - S1-E23
Question: At the end of this episode when Eddie Thawne shoots himself to stop Eobard Thawne from being born, wouldn't that mean Barry Allen's mom would have never been stabbed? So essentially The Flash could've saved his mom from being stabbed anyway.
Chosen answer: No one can explain how time travel works. If by committing suicide Barry's mom survived, then there would be no Flash nor Eobard Thawne. So Eddie wouldn't commit suicide in the first place, because nothing would have happened.
Answer: The show explains in another episode that The Speed Force leaves copies of characters that no longer exist in the past to avoid paradoxes such as this example.
Question: The Collector was already a holder of the Aether (reality stone). Once the Orb destroyed the majority of his place, where do you think he hid the Aether?
Answer: It's unlikely that the place on Knowhere is the only location he has. He could easily have moved it to another.
Question: If the MAV could be blown over by a storm of sufficient force, wasn't it very risky dropping the Ares IV Mav five years in advance of the mission?
Answer: The crew (and mission control) are in constant contact with the previously dropped MAV and would have aborted the mission and continued back to Earth had the MAV become inoperable before their arrival. Weir states this explicitly early in the book.
Answer: Yes, it is very risky unless the new Ares MAV is in an area with much calmer weather patterns.

Chosen answer: Church's behavior had changed after being buried. He was now violent (and working with Gage) and needed to be put down before killing anyone.
