Question: Who was the guy (the roadkill guy) that drove them to the town? Wouldn't he know what was going on? If he did, what was his connection?

Answer: All we know is that he is the brother of Bo and Vincent. He's a mystery. A hint to a sequel maybe?

Question: What were the cases that the so-called "honorable" William Wright was presiding over and why did he reverse the verdicts?

Answer: William Wright has been in 4 episodes of Law & Order as an judge. They were "Damaged", "Gunshow", "Harm" and "Dissonance". I believe "Gunshow was the only episode he reversed a verdict. That was because the evidence presented did not meet the guidenlines set at the start of the trial and the evidence wasn't conclusive enough to link the gun manufacturers to the crime itself.

If I remember correctly there was also an episode where he also reversed the verdict on two teenage boys who were found guilty of raping a girl because according to Wright, "She probably enjoyed it."

Question: In the book, there is a bit (I'm not sure which chapter) where Danny is in the playground and is nearly trapped in a cement tunnel with what he thinks is a demon that doesn't want him to leave, and the swings move on their own. There are also lots of bits in the book where he is chased by the hedges shaped like animals but never sees them move, just hears them.Is there a good reason why this wasn't in the film, because for me they were the scariest parts?

Answer: I know they cut the hedge animals simply because the special effects to make hedges move were deemed impossible to do at the time. But both of these scenes were included in the TV miniseries "Stephen King's The Shining", http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118460/.

Question: Why exactly does Brundle experience a feeling of euphoria and strength after his teleportation? Why doesn't he turn into the Brundlefly immediately?

Answer: Brundle's just had all of his atoms separated and then joined back together with a massive influx of electrical energy; certainly that would generate some sort of sensation in cells that have never experienced it before. No reason to believe it couldn't manifest as euphoria and strength. As far as the transformation: Brundle's cells have been put back together with fly DNA in them, but with very little actual fly material, initially. It's reasonable to expect that as his cells die off and regenerate in the usual ways, they are replaced not by human ones, but by human/fly hybrids. As this happens, he becomes gradually more fly-like.

Rooster of Doom

Question: At the end of the movie, when they are at the tip of the plane, Jodi and her daughter slip into a tiny compartment, just as she activates the bomb. She and her daughter are safe, and the small space they were in must have been bomb-proof. Since that compartment is at a part of the plane that is rarely visited, how come a tiny place was made entirely bomb-proof? Or what was the space they climbed into and for what reason was it made?

Answer: The hatch they climb into is the hold of the plane, i.e., the section with the coffin, the car, and all the other luggage in. It only appears small because of the way it is filmed. As Kyle would have known, it would have been extra strong and reinforced, as it was a break in two sections of the plane.

Question: What is the name and artist of the song that plays when the Knicks' winning streak begins?

Answer: "Rock & Roll pt 2" by Gary Glitter.

Answer: In the comics, he was known as (quite simply) Rico Dredd. Everyone knew Joe and Rico were clones and brothers right from the start, but they changed this in the movie to give it a little extra suspense.

Question: How come when Lisa is swimming in the pool none of her eyes wash out or anything like the others?

Answer: I don't think she ever died after taking the tonic, unlike Madeline and Helen. She took the potion simply to keep her young good looks and (as stated earlier with Madeline), Lisa is in fact 71 years old with the looks of a 38 year old.

Question: Does anybody know why Sardo Numspa can't pronounce J's? Such as when he pronounces Chandler Jarell as Yarell. I've looked but can't seem to find any explanation.

Answer: A lot of non english speaking countries have trouble pronouncing the letter J as it does not appear in their alphabet. It is a fairly recent addition to the english language too. Previously words that now start with a J would have began with an "I" sound as in "Iarell".

Question: How old is the phantom, because if he was the same age as madam Giry he would no longer be alive.

Answer: He is supposed to be five years younger than her. And even if they were the same age, she is still alive, so why couldn't he?

Sereenie

Question: The beginning of the film states that most of it is true. Are there any specific happenings which can be pointed out as not true?

Answer: It's doubtful Butch and Etta rode around on a bicycle together, and Butch and Sundance did not jump off a cliff into a river.

Answer: I think partly the hair was used to add to Samara's overall creepiness and conceal her 'scary' face until the close-up just before Noah dies. But also the Sadako/Samara characters of the Ringu/Ring story seem to be based on a kind of Japanese ghost which were said to be the restless ghosts of wronged females who died tragic or untimely deaths, and traditionally they are thought to appear as figures in white dresses with their dark hair worn covering their face.

Question: After Atreyu passes the first gate, soon then after is a scene with Falcor and [forgotten the little man's name] is stabbing Falcor with what looks like a cross between a jackhammer and a giant hypodermic needle. What's that all about?

Answer: That's actually Urgl, Engywwok's wife. She is giving Falcor a vitamin injection while she is nursing him back from his exhaustion.

Answer: Ronco is a company that makes infomercial products - the Fry Daddy is a deep-fat fryer. Claus von Bulow tried to kill his wife Sunny by giving her an insulin overdose. It was never proven and Sunny is still in a coma. Claus in particular is portrayed as cold and heartless (see the movie Reversal of Fortune) and not the sort you want babysitting. World-famous aviator Charles Lindbergh's infant son was kidnapped and murdered. In what was known then as "the trial of the century", Bruno Hauptmann was found guilty and later executed although many doubt his guilt.

Myridon

Question: Does it ever specify whether it is the first day of school for everybody or just for Cady?

Answer: Mr. Duvall comes to ask Ms. Norbury how her summer went which means it is the first day back. Cady is lost simply because she is new to the school in general, while everyone else is already familiar with it.

Question: What is the meaning of the rock paintings that Atreyu finds, that seem to sum up all his adventures? (This is right before the fight with that black wolf-creature.)

Answer: The meaning is basically all his adventures have been fortold and recorded, kind of like as if they were part of a book.
