Question: I have a question about the cloaking technology all through the Star Trek universe. Does the cloak actually turn the ship using it invisible, or does it just hide the ship from being "seen" by other ships sensors? In other words, if a ship was cloaked and invisible to the view screen on the bridge, could someone looking out of a porthole still see the ship?

Question: Why does Ray drop his trap on the altar? It can be seen all through the 'choose' conversation and when Staypuft first appears.
Answer: He places it on the altar just after they believe they have vaporized Gozer with the proton packs. At this point, thinking the ghost to have been destroyed, he sets it down as he believes the job is done and he will not need it.
Answer: Ray realised Gozer was too powerful to be caught in the trap, so why carry the extra weight?
Question: Many times in the film 'England' as a country is mentioned, but not Scotland or Wales. Does the comic answer any questions as to what has happened to the 'British' unity of England, Scotland and Wales in this time? (E.g. are they all separate countries, or are the simply never mentioned?).
Answer: Volume 2 of V for vendetta describes the fictional occupation of Aberdeen by English soldiers. A television broadcast in the background of chapter 3 describes the fight against the terrorist organization the S.N.A, presumably the Scottish Nationalist Army, which uses guerrilla tactics similar to the real life IRA in Northern Ireland. Due to the Norsefire party's frequent use of propaganda, the exact strength or nature of this movement is difficult to predict, but it seems certain that they pose some opposition to Norsefire England's attempts to forcibly reunite Great Britain.
Question: What is the point of blowing up Parliament if Sutler has been overthrown and killed? It doesn't achieve anything but huge rebuilding costs.
Answer: Parliament is seen as being a corrupt institution. Sutler may be gone, but if the institution remains intact, then all that's likely to happen is that somebody similar to Sutler will claw his or her way to the top and nothing will change. By destroying of the ceremonial Parliament building associated with the corrupt government, V's intent is to shake up that institution to a point where it can no longer survive.
Question: Can anyone tell me the name of the song played while Sway and Memphis are sitting in the car waiting for the couple in the window to get it on?
Answer: It's called 'Painted On My Heart' by The Cult.
Question: Are we ever told exactly why Jerry needs the money? His $750,000 deal with the parking lot falls through and he owes GMAC $320,000. He is going to give the kidnappers $40,000, but then it's increased to $80,000. But he sets the ransom at only $1 million. So what is the deal?
Answer: This is incorrect. Jerry had already devised the kidnapping plot before his father-in-law refused to loan him the money. It's never stated why Jerry needs the money. He owes $320,000 to GMAC but why he took that money from GMAC in the first place is never stated. Jerry is a greedy person who got himself into massive debt. He even balks when Carl demands they get $80,000 instead of $40,000, when, if the plan works, Jerry would still get $920,000. He's greedy and desperate and is willing to do foolish things for money. That's basically the "moral" of the story.
Jerry's balking when Carl demands $80,000 could be acting on his part. That amount is supposed to be the entire ransom, so Jerry had to pretend as if Carl's demand was unacceptable. Jerry may well be greedy, which could be why he's in financial trouble to begin with, but in the movie he needs money out of desperation, not greed.
Answer: The business deal didn't actually fall through. Jerry needed $750,000 to proceed with it. He tried borrowing the capital from his father-in-law, who refused to lend it to him. Instead, the father-in-law wanted to invest in the deal himself and to give Jerry a small finder's commission. Outraged, Jerry devised the phony kidnap scheme so he could get the money to invest in the parking lot. (He never intended for his wife to be harmed.) Presumably he planned to pay off the kidnappers and partially repay GMAC with some of the $1,000,000 ransom money, and use the rest for the investment deal.
This is incorrect - he meets with the kidnappers before visiting Wade (the father-in-law) about the loan for the deal.
Question: There is a LOT of changes if you compare the film to the book, and most of them I understand, since you always have to make some changes. But why did they change such things as characters names and genders?
Answer: The film makers changed the name of Amelia Sachs because it sounded too much like 'sex'. I have not been able to discover for certain why they made Thom into a woman, but possibly this had to do with Thom's homosexuality. It could be viewed as controversial that Rhyme's nurse is a gay man, and could possibly also bring Rhyme's own sexuality into question. To make the nurse female would avoid all such issues.
Question: What song is playing while Al and Steve look for Marcy's Barbie doll?
Answer: It's called "You belong to the City", and is by Glenn Frey.
Question: Deckard has access to two sets of photographs, one from Leon's room in which he finds the lead to the replicant 'snake woman' and the other set belonging to Rachel. Yet Rachel's set also contains this same photograph - which is of an apparently empty room. I understand the reason for each to have their own 'precious' photos (as Roy calls them), but why would both Leon's set and Rachel's set contain the same empty room photo?
Answer: The only photo of Rachel's that Deckard has is the fake one of her family. The "empty room" photo is seen again as Deckard leafs through Leon's photos.
Question: I haven't seen this movie because my parents won't let me, but I've heard that the main character's yearbook pictures of her friends have something to do with how they are killed. Could somebody make a list of the characters and how they are killed and how their deaths pertain to the pictures?
Answer: Erin Ulmer: Nails go through her head. In the picture she is sticking her middle fingers up, and the focus is on her fingernails. Lewis Romero: The weights he is working out with smash his head. At first they think that he is going to be killed by the swords (in the picture their was a statue of a samurai with swords), but in the end, he was killed by being crushed by weights - the foreshadow in the photo was that he was using a weighty "test-your-strength" funfair game. Ashley Freund and Ashlynn Halperin: The tanning beds catch on fire, and they are both burnt to death in the beds. The foreshadowing in the photo is (a) the girls are red and out of focus in the picture and (b) they are holding an inflatable palm tree. In their death sequence a palm tree falls over, knocks a plank of wood down and traps the girls in the tanning beds. Frankie Cheeks: The cooling fan from a car goes into his head. In his photo we see his standing right beside a fan, and it looks as though it is going into his head. Ian Mckinley: A cherry picker collapses and knocks a sign over and cuts him in half. There is no real connection to his photo here, as he escaped his original death (his original death was to be hit by a stack of sharp pieces of wood.) Perry Maloinski: A flagpole impales her. In the photo where she is standing next to Julie by the carousel, an American flag can be seen behind her head. Julie Christensen: A train wheel hits her. Kevin Fischer: He falls out of a train window. Wendy Christensen: A Train hits her.
Question: In the scene where the dad tells Annie, pretending to be Hallie, that he is going to marry Meredith, Hallie yells a bunch of stuff in French. Does anyone know what she was saying?
Answer: I hope that you are joking, Meredith is not the girl for you. But it is possible that I am dreaming that this is so.
Answer: She actually said, "Marry her?! That's insane! How can you marry a woman young enough to be my big sister?!"
Answer: Not really but I think she was saying you're kidding.
Question: How does the show end for all of the characters? Who ends up with whom?
Answer: Jen dies. Joey ends up with Pacey. Dawson becomes a movie producer and produces a show based on his life.
Question: JD and Turk have something in this episode where one can detect the other if they have a little coin-like thing within 100 feet (Which Turk makes the Janitor eat). What is that thing called, and where can I get it?
Answer: It's called a tracking device. You can probably find one at an electronics outlet.
Question: Did Terrance Howard do his own rapping for the film?
Answer: Yes he did. The lyrics for the songs that he raps in the movie were written by the group Three Six Mafia.
Question: From the way it is portrayed in the movie, it looks like Bond & Wai Lin just head straight for the stealth boat once they spot it. They come at it from the front. I don't see why they would do that. Even if the surveillance guy wasn't paying attention (there's no way Bond could've known that), shouldn't someone on the bridge be able to see the dingy approaching straight at it? It would've made more sense to me if Bond waited for the ship to pass and then come from behind or the sides.
Answer: It's getting dark by this point - Bond and Wai Lin are dressed in black in a dark coloured boat. Anyone looking out of the window would be looking down towards them - they wouldn't be able to pick them out against the sea.
Question: When Hallie and her mom are on the way to the studio, they are showing crossing the street. On the road behind them, the white lines are zigzagged at the beginning. Why are they like this?
Answer: They are crossing on the zebra crossing on Abbey Road in London. The Zigzags are a warning for drivers that the crossing is near. They serve as both strict 'no parking' and 'no crossing the centre line' warnings.
Question: Which Ferrari model does Riley drive at the end of the film?
Answer: F360 Spider.
Question: In the movie, there is a song playing as everyone is hunting the vampires (there are a few split-screen images, and they show a few vampire glyphs), could anyone tell me what the name of this song is, and who sings it? The words 'This Blood' are repeated a few times, but I checked that song and it doesn't seem to be the one playing.
Answer: It's "Hard Wax" by Manchild.
Question: Several times near the end of the movie, the German soldiers speak in German without subtitles. Can anyone translate?
Answer: All I could catch was "VORAN,VORAN" which means "Go, go!"

Answer: The cloaking device makes the ship invisible to other ships' sensors and to the naked eye. This was evidenced in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home where the Klingon vessel Kirk time travels back to the 20th C. in is hidden from humans while it is in Golden Gate Park and when it hovers over the whaling vessel.
