That '70s Show (1998)

Trivia: For Andy to get rid of the Teen Wolf look, actor Steve Carell's chest hair is really waxed by an actress, who is a non-professional waxer. Because there would only be one take of this disturbingly amusing scene, they set up five cameras - one on his 'friends', one over Andy, one on the waxer, one for wide shots, and one for close-ups of his chest. This scene was not scripted, so when the waxer laughs and Andy's friends are totally cracking up it was for real. Though it was strongly suggested to Steve to first trim his chest hair or to take a pain reliever before the taping, he refused, wanting to have the full cringe-effect caught on tape. In one close-up a bit of blood is actually seen bleeding up to the surface - it is not CGI. It took about seven weeks for his hair to grow back, much to chagrin of his wife, who wasn't crazy about his 'chest smiley'.

The Soul Mate - S8-E2

Continuity mistake: When George is in the boardroom, he places his briefcase on the conference table, and opens it, with the top leaning against a carafe. As George yammers on, the briefcase is closed in a couple of shots, and then open again for the rest of the scene.

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: After Brody says, "You're gonna need a bigger boat." he and Quint go out on deck and there is a long rope tying the open cabin door to the rigging at the rail. However, when Hooper jumps down from the bridge deck the rope is gone. (01:21:25)

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Jack sails toward Port Royal, he passes the skeletal remains of hanged pirates, to whom he pays a respectful bow. First, there are two wideshots of the skeletons, then in the close-up they are actually wearing more clothing, particularly the strapping middle guy, whose head position differs, and his straw hat is larger as well. Continuity mistake: After Norrington orders his men to take young Will below, in the next shot young Elizabeth stands at Dauntless' stern, in front of the mizzen mast and rigging, with the yard arms behind the mast way above her and its full sails. However, in the next close-ups the yard arm and sail are directly behind her, and the sails differ. (00:04:20)

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the Chamber, when Harry runs from the Basilisk he ends up at a gated dead end, with steel bars that are embedded in a circular stone wall. When Harry crouches down, as the Basilisk's face nears, the manner in which the bars are embedded in the stone is actually quite different. (02:11:00)

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Sean mimics his father, Brody's glasses are lying upright on the table. However, when Hooper sits down the glasses are upside down and other things on the table change position, etc. (00:38:10 - 00:39:50)

Continuity mistake: Orca's ID number normally reads MS 15 LF on both her port and starboard side at the bow. However, after Quint shouts, "Hooper, you idiot. Ain't you watchin it?" Orca's ID number reads M 15 L at starboard side and 15 LF at port. (01:16:30)

Jaws (1975)

Jaws mistake picture

Visible crew/equipment: When the fishermen start out on the hunt, Ben Gardner appears in a close-up leaning on the windshield at forward deck, while talking to his boatmate about how stupid some of the others are. In the next wide shot of the boats, Ben's green boat is towards the left of the screen, and the large reflector screen and camera, that are mounted to the bow of his boat, are visible in front of the forward window where Ben was seen in the previous shot. Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: On the dock, as the Tiger shark is being raised there is an arrow above its gills, a second arrow below its dorsal fin and a broken arrow shaft in the wound just beside that dorsal fin. When Hooper tells the three fishermen that it's a Tiger shark, the broken arrow beside its dorsal fin is now a nice, long, whole arrow. All of the arrows change their degree of penetration in the shark's hide throughout these shots. (00:32:55 - 00:34:20)

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: After the two barrels are tied off, there is at least twenty feet of line between the barrels and where it disappears into the water. When the next harpoon is shot (the barrel shatters the cabin window) and the shark pulls Orca, that last barrel trails way ahead of Orca, its taught line being extremely shorter than the lines leading to the two other barrels, though the shark pulls them at the same time. However, once the cleats break off, the length of the three lines are identical in length. (01:44:15)

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: At his home, after Brody uncorks the bottle of wine he begins to peel the top label. In the following shots the top label changes, as well as the position of his hands, depending on camera angle as Hooper and Brody speak. (00:42:45)

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Brody helps the boys pull Michael out of the water his uniform is soaked - much, much wetter than it should have been. In the next shot only the bottom of his pant legs are wet, and in the following shot the wetness of his uniform differs again. (01:03:20)

Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: After Hooper cuts open the Tiger shark, when he throws a license plate towards the Chief the area to Brody's left is clear, but in the shot facing Brody there are lines and equipment lying on the ground beside him, to his left. (00:44:10)

Jaws (1975)

Revealing mistake: At the boathouse, when Hooper cuts open the tiger shark, it is very noticeably a fake shark (note its sewn seams) in contrast to the real tiger shark hanging on the dock earlier. (According to "The Jaws Log," by Carl Gottlieb the local fishermen had been unable to catch a big enough shark for the dock scene, so they found a freshly caught 13-ft tiger shark in Florida then flew it to Massachusetts on a private plane, but by the time the scene was filmed the shark was already decomposing and had a foul stench). Jaws (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Ellen speaks with Brody at the beach, while worrying about the shark, Michael and other kids get up, and head toward the water. In the next shot, Michael, who wears very distinctive green and orange swimming trunks, jumps into the water (holding a football), and gets his hair and body entirely soaked. Next three shots Harry (and his 'bad hat') sits down and speaks with Brody. In the next shot Michael, with dry hair, passes Mrs. Kintner and is still running towards the water with Sean. (00:15:40)

Jaws (1975)

Jaws mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Brody waits to board the ferry he says, "Charlie, take me over to those kids, will ya," and there's a painted board with 'Amity' attached to the ferry base. However, when they reach the other ferry landing the board with 'Amity' is gone, in sloshing water (even more visible in a deleted scene). It's the same side of the ferry, note the ferry Captain is stationed at the permanent helm at only one side. The short haul Chappy Ferry On Time scow was the stand-in for the fictitious Amity ferry.
