Continuity mistake: When Jesse tries to apologize to May Belle for pushing her, he notices the drawing hanging in her dollhouse. The drawing remains shaded until its close-up, when there is light deliberately shining directly upon it. (01:23:00)

Bridge to Terabithia mistake picture

Continuity mistake: First day in class, when Hoager "beeps" at Jesse, Mrs. Myers writes two words. The word "verb" is over the word "subject" on the board, in the close-up. After she turns around, in the following shots, the word "predicate" appears, disappears, then reappears and "subject" is written over "verb" now. Additionally, during this scene, all the other writing on the blackboard changes between shots as well. (00:06:15)

Continuity mistake: After Jesse swings on the rope, just before Leslie says, "We need a place just for us," he holds the rope over the small bottom knot as he hands it to her, but in the shot facing Leslie he holds it about two feet higher, over the large top knot. (00:22:25)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix mistake picture

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix mistake picture

Continuity mistake: In the Room of Requirement, before the Christmas holiday, Harry compliments the DA on a job well done, and they clap. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix mistake picture

Continuity mistake: At the Welcoming Feast, in the close-ups of Seamus and Harry sitting at the table, there is a substantial space between them. When Dumbledore says, "Good evening, children," and later, when he says thank you to Umbridge, the boys are sitting right next each other. (00:29:15)

Continuity mistake: At the train station, when Moody sees Padfoot, Molly Weasley walks a certain distance behind Harry and the dog. Next close-up she is directly behind Harry, but when it cuts to the wide shot, she's much farther back again. (00:24:35)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix mistake picture

Continuity mistake: After riding down the escalator on their way to Harry's hearing, when Arthur Weasley tries to pass the turnstile, Harry's right hand reaches for the transit pass in his left jacket pocket in the side shot. Then he reaches once again in the front shot, before it cuts back to the side shot as he's still reaching for it. Also, note the man with the newspaper under his arm that passes the turnstile only to be back in line, between these shots. (00:17:10)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Harry shouts, "Expecto Patronum," he points his wand at 'his' Dementor as the Patronus repels it and it flees. Harry then stands and puts his wand arm down, but in the next shot his wand is still up, pointing to his right with the Patronus in mid-air. (00:04:00)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest mistake picture

Plot hole: In a close-up, just as Jack is freed from the hole in the water wheel, we see the axle's circular wood frame with its spinning bars, above and behind him, as he runs the wheel. At the end of this close-up, Jack's happy facial expression gives way to a look of dread, as he supposedly sees an approaching metal bar about to make contact with his forehead. This is impossible, since all bars are spinning behind him. After a close-up of the actual bar, in the next shot as Jack's forehead makes contact, he stands further back and is now at the center of the circular wood frame, so as to be in perfect alignment with those spinning bars. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When Elizabeth, Pintel and Ragetti fight Jones's crew, Ragetti tosses Elizabeth the sword which she catches in her left hand, as she holds another sword in her right hand. She then tosses the sword from her right hand to Pintel, as she holds the other sword in her left hand. Next shot, when Pintel catches it, the sword in her left hand has disappeared - note her empty open hand, only to reappear in the next shot. (01:54:20)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest mistake picture

Plot hole: There are six metal bars mounted around the circumference of the water wheel's axle. In the wheel's interior, when Jack frees himself he lands on his feet, begins to run and promptly hits his head on one of those mounted axle bars, then falls out. Moments later, when Jack returns and runs in the wheel, he is shorter (way more than a foot) than all six of the mounted axle bars spinning with the water wheel, which would make that previous shot impossible, however humorous it is. (01:52:40 - 01:53:55)

Other mistake: When Jack and Norrington duel on the stairway of the old church (before Will joins the fun), just as Norrington grabs hold of the key with his left hand, a band-aid is visible on Norrington's thumb. (01:50:00)

Super Grover

Continuity mistake: When Jack is snatched up by the water wheel, as he stands in the open grave, he gets stuck in the wood blade positioned exactly between two wheel spokes. When the key falls from his neck there is a close-up of it getting caught on the nail. In the next shot, Jack is still trapped in the wheel, only this time he is stuck in the wood blade directly beside one of the wheel spokes. (01:52:30)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest mistake picture

Continuity mistake: When the water wheel begins to roll, with Norrington and Will atop and then snatches up Jack, its blades (buckets on the outside rim) and two sides of the axle face a specific direction as it gains speed. Now compare the following two shots, as the water wheel rolls away from the camera: When the wheel rolls, just as Jack falls out, after hitting his head on the bar. Then later on the beach, as Elizabeth watches, just as the wheel rolls and falls over in the close-up, the wheel is actually rolling in the opposite direction - just note its blades. Also note the bizarre change of its axle's wide and narrow sides. (01:52:40 - 01:56:50)

Other mistake: In numerous shots modern bobbypins (the white kind brides wear on their headdress) are clearly visible inside the curls of the men's white wigs. For instance, they can be seen when Norrington is reunited with his sword; later when he dies; when Beckett talks about the immaterial becoming immaterial; finally, when he says, "It's just good business," as the Pearl and Dutchman fire on Endeavor. The type of 'hair pin' seen in the wig curls did not exist in the mid 18th century.
