Other mistake: Mara wore a light - (white or pale pink?) colored gown to the prom. Dylan's relatively "fresh" grave is still a mound of dirt with some leaves/debris scattered on it. Despite lying on his grave for some time (overnight), Mara's gown does not get wrinkled or soiled; her gown looks totally clean, dry, and wrinkle-free when she gets home. (01:23:30 - 01:29:20)

Continuity mistake: At the prom, Mara "spikes" the punch with a clear alcohol (tequila or vodka?) and the punch looks clear or a little cloudy/white. The punch is a pinkish color when Mara takes the bowl away and sits down. (01:19:45)

Christine: Billy, I-I thought that your science proj-
Billy: Twelve-volt car battery. Might not kill you, but it'll make your teeth chatter. You're gonna return the First-Place ribbon and tell how you were unfairly helped with the train project. You cheated. You don't deserve to win. Am I being clear? [Christine nods]. Get her out of here.

Dismissed (2017)

Mr. Butler: I'm sorry to tell you this, but your son threatened me.
Mr. Ward: What did he say, exactly?
Mr. Butler: Well, he uh... just he was using a book as a metaphor.
Mr. Ward: So, you came here to tell me my son...what? Assaulted you with a poem?

The Dinner (2017)

Paul: See, history is either a lie or a bore... History can't compete with video games, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, Snapchat, Vine, Kik, Burn Note, Whisper, Yik Yak, Skype, Tinder, Grinder, texting, sexting, porn, and that shitty, shitty, shitty orgy of mind numbing mistake called Hollywood. You see, kids, history can't compete. History is over. Everything is happening in this second. (00:36:41)

Gigi: You know what this is, Alex? For every gallon of crude oil sucked from this Earth comes 15 gallons of...? Water. No good to any living thing.
Alex: What's wrong with it?
Gigi: Besides the fact that it's radioactive?
Alex: You're joking.
Gigi: Is cancer a joke?
Alex: What's it doing here?
Gigi: Evaporating, percolating, and it travels.

Gigi: Gentlemen, I've come to find that the Devil has a name. If you're growing apples, you're in Eden. Almonds, you're east, central California to be exact. There are 53 different types of nuts in the world. He was one of them. (00:04:12)

Fred: You know how much money they made poisoning my water? $2.1 billion - and that's just one year
Aegis: Over 10 years?
Fred: At least
Aegis: Hmm... I'd say they owe you at least one year.

[Tyler enters the room and sees a woman bound and gagged on the floor, making mumbled screams].
Don: Bud, listen to me. I'd never hurt anyone. This woman and I are having an affair. We're a little kinky, that's all. I know, I know, this is a lot for you to take in, but your mother knows all about this. She and I-

Tyler: The truth is, bad things happen to good people. Our only defense is to come together like we've done today. That's what my dad taught me through how he lived. Let's remember how he impacted our lives. (01:43:40)

Continuity mistake: The tent Marcus had the first night he spent in the woods was a small, basic triangle. The support poles were under the fabric (except for a few inches near the ground) and there was no zippered mesh door. A little later, his tent had largely exposed poles, a zippered mesh door, was a lighter shade or green (or blue), and had "Eureka!" written near the bottom of the door. (00:59:15 - 01:02:41)

Other mistake: Even if it is a small-town police department investigating the circumstances of Don's disappearance and later discovered dead body, it is not likely that they would fail to conclude (based on forensics), or at least highly suspect, that he did not commit suicide and his death was not an accident. The police should've been able to ascertain that the angle of the gun shot in his mouth could not have been self-inflicted. Also, the blows to his forehead (from Kassi) would arouse suspicion. Trivia: The movie's title, The Clovehitch Killer", reflects serial killer Don's "trademark" of leaving a rope tied with the clovehitch knot somewhere at the murder scene (e.g, pipe outside on the house).

Lean on Pete (2017)

Continuity mistake: At the restaurant, different camera views show the levels of ketchup in the bottle are not properly coordinated after Del or Charley squeeze some out. The ketchup from inside the bottle has settled when the camera faces Charley but not when facing Del. Because they are "out of sync" depending on the camera's direction, the bottle may look fuller after some is squeezed out. (00:24:31 - 00:25:09)

Continuity mistake: During Charley's morning jog, his "Forest Creek High School" T-shirt does not consistently have the blue line (below the letter "t" in "Forest") connecting the ram's horns or same boldness in color. His T-shirt collar is also ragged on the left side and back once he gets inside the house. (00:03:12 - 00:04:11)

Continuity mistake: When Joe Dalton is driving Jenna and Mara to pick up the drugs, a few yellowish-white flowers are dangling in front of him, but seem too far to the left (toward the driver) to be hanging from the rearview mirror. However, views from the back of the car to the front do not show any flowers. After Joe "explodes" and Jenna is trying to get into the driver's seat, there is something hanging from the rearview mirror (possibly a pine tree-shaped air freshener) that was not previously there. Character mistake: If the murders were happening during full moons in December and Jenna had not yet started the college classes she was going to take in January, it doesn't make sense that John told Paul Carnury that he was returning the items he confiscated "a few months ago." The items being returned to several of the residents, including Paul, were related to the murder investigations which were more recent.
