The Forgiven (2021)

Trivia: Leila, talking to Tom about Driss being hit and killed by David's car, said, "I heard one of the boys saying his legs were pulped. The dead man. They didn't just hit him. They ran over him. Maybe more than once. What do you call it in your country? They have a word for it?" Tom, probably being facetious, replied, "Roadkill." "Roadkill" typically only refers to animals. (00:24:29)

The Forgiven (2021)

Deliberate mistake: David's reflection was shown in the dresser mirror when he was sitting at the foot of the bed. When Jo moves around David, the foot of the bed and the corner of the dresser, though not touching, form a 90° angle and the mirror does not span to the edges of the dresser. Therefore, David's reflection could not be in the mirror as shown. (00:03:25 - 00:30:38)

The Forgiven (2021)

Trivia: Although Driss apparently stepped out in front of David's car and got killed (in the desert), it is ironic that "Moroccan drivers don't give way to pedestrians" [according to Mowgli-Adventures.com, "Driving in Morocco", Nov. 5, 2021]. (00:07:44)

Continuity mistake: When Jo is talking to Tom (after David left with Abdellah), the amount of separation in her bangs varies, as well as the shapes they form. (00:48:40)

The Forgiven (2021)

Character mistake: David said, "Camels bite. I hear they like to bite people in the stomach. It's the leading cause of death among the Arabs." This is absurd. Generally, leading causes of death are heart disease, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure; auto accidents may be the leading cause for certain age groups, and deaths from infectious diseases may be increasing. Resorting to statistics on the deadliest "animals", camels are not even in the top 15. Deer and bees (#14-15) cause about 100 deaths each yearly. (00:24:15)

Other mistake: Right before the "Y" in the road, it could be seen that Richard's speedometer was pointing to the far left, indicating that he was driving at a low speed, such as 5 - 10 MPH. When Richard was looking at the damage to the car, he said, "Smashed headlights, smashed bumper. Must have been going at a fair clip." The damage to the car, as well as Driss' death from the impact, seem severe at such a low speed. (00:07:40 - 00:16:09)

The Forgiven (2021)

Deliberate mistake: David and Jo, each wearing sunglasses, are riding in the boat. When David says, "L'Afrique", buildings along the upcoming shore are reflected in his sunglasses. The camera shifts to Jo, also facing the shore, and buildings with more lights are reflected in her sunglasses. The camera then shifts to a rear view of David and Jo and it is obvious that what was reflected in their sunglasses was not possible. (00:01:40)

The Forgiven (2021)

Continuity mistake: David's [Ralph Fiennes] glass on the table is filled to within about 1" from the top. When he raises the glass to his mouth, the amount is about 1" lower, which may explain why the lemon slice is now floating diagonally instead of vertically. (00:01:36)

Paradise Cove (2021)

Character mistake: Bree stated, "Domestic dogs are members of genus canis. They're carnivores, you know, descended from wolves." Dogs are actually "omnivores", not true/strict/obligate carnivores. (01:32:58)

Audio problem: In a flashback scene after Anthony says, " It is normal to be a little nervous" and Malia asks, "Is it?", Malia's mouth does not move when she finishes her question, "more rational to be paranoid or careless?" (00:47:13)

Burn (2022)

Continuity mistake: The views of Pinero's dead "trophy wife" from opposite sides of the bed were not consistent. From Seth's view, Pinero's wife was lying mostly on her right side with her hair covering her head/neck but otherwise not visible, and her right arm extended outward from her waist area. From the other side of the bed, Pinero's wife's long wavy hair was over her left breast and should have been visible from Seth's position but was not. The wife's right arm also extended outward from her shoulder area. (00:00:22 - 00:01:19)

Monstrous (2022)

Factual error: The typists were moving their fingers way too fast to be using manual typewriters (in the 1950s) and the sound was more like that which would come from electronic typewriters. Keys on manual typewriters had to be pressed fairly hard, one at a time, to ensure the letter would make a good imprint on the paper and prevent the keys/hammers from getting stacked on top of one another (jammed) if the typist's fingers moved faster than the keys did. Accuracy over speed was important to avoid errors. (00:16:14)

Monstrous (2022)

Factual error: When Laura dropped Cody off at school, there was one boy (far left side of screen) wearing shorts. In 1950s (and later) California, boys were required to wear long pants to school (no shorts!) and girls had to wear dresses. (00:15:26)

The Lost City (2022)

Continuity mistake: When Loretta approached the hammock, Alan's T-shirt was almost flat with more than half hanging over the rope (facing the camera). When Alan stood next to Loretta, the T-shirt was bunched and hanging differently - less than half facing the camera. (Movement of the hammock would have been most likely to make the T-shirt gravitate toward the heavier side or even fall off.) After they were sleeping together on the hammock, the T-shirt was almost back to its original position. (00:58:33)

The Lost City (2022)

Continuity mistake: The positions of the facial masks Loretta put (stuck) on Alan's back change after Alan stands up. Initially, the top two were slightly overlapping. While acknowledging that the masks might have wrinkled and/or got loose when Alan moved, it is not likely that the overlapping ones would do so in that one was partially adhered to the other and thereby more likely to stay attached. The Lost City (2022)

Continuity mistake: The bowl of oranges on the table has one near the top middle that is above the others. After some camera shifts, there are three oranges sticking above the others and the ones below look smaller and are piled differently (3-4 layers instead of 2). Also, there was another bowl next to the bowl of oranges that is no longer there. (00:41:47 - 00:42:22)

Continuity mistake: When Dash is cutting Loretta free from the chair, he has a line of blood along the upper left side of his T-shirt's neck. After the car falls over the hill, the line of blood is gone. (The blood spatter and pattern on his sweatshirt and T-shirt appear to vary, but cannot be discerned without scrutinizing the same by pausing). (00:40:10 - 00:40:54)

Continuity mistake: When Theo says, "You can pull them [flowers] out if you want to", there's one flower that is slightly pulled away from the vase, drooping below the others. When Felix [Bill Murray] is next to the flowers, there is not a flower pulled out at first, but there is a few camera shifts later. (00:34:00 - 00:36:37)
