X-Men (1992)

Obsession - S3-E10

Continuity mistake: When the X-Men are first shown in the War Room, Beast is sitting between Rogue and Gambit, with Rogue on his right. Moments later when he asks Cerebro to identify the mutant activity it detected, Gambit and Rogue have swapped places. (00:03:17)

Deadpool 2 (2018)

Deadpool 2 trivia picture

Trivia: A promotional poster for the PG-13 version of this film (Once Upon a Deadpool) was released as a parody of a painting commissioned by the LDS church called "The Second Coming." This was reportedly done in response to the state of Utah - known for the LDS church having unconstitutional influence over its state laws - fining a theater that served alcohol for showing the first film, alleging that it violated state liquor laws by serving alcohol while showing nudity or simulated sex.

Deadpool (2016)

Trivia: Ryan Reynolds donated $5,000 to the defense fund of a theater in Salt Lake City that was fined for showing this movie. The theater in question is known for serving beer, and Utah state liquor laws prohibit the showing of nudity or simulated sex in places that serve alcohol. A U.S. district judge ruled that the law violated the theater's freedom of speech and ordered the state to pay them $474,000. In response to the fine, Reynolds tweeted "Thank god, they've found a way to legislate fun."

Dexter (2006)

Season 8 generally

Stupidity: Hannah spends the entirety of season 8 as a fugitive in hiding, but never thinks to make herself less conspicuous, such as dyeing or cutting her hair, or wearing disguises when she goes out in public.

Disobedience (2017)

Question: Why does Ronit put on a Sheitel before discussing her late father's house with her uncle? She's not married, so despite not practising the faith anyway, I'm not sure how doing so would appease him.

Morbius (2022)

Trivia: When the Daily Bugle is shown with the main article of Morbius being apprehended for murder, in the top right corner of the paper you can read "Black Cat: Friend or Foe?" This is a reference to the antihero and frequent Spider-Man ally Black Cat. Sony had previously attempted to develop a movie featuring Black Cat and Silver Sable, which would have been called "Silver and Black." This could be Sony planting the seeds of bringing the character to screen, or it may just be an Easter egg.

The Unstoppable Juggernaut - S1-E8

Stupidity: When the X-Men are battling Juggernaut, at one point Storm uses a powerful wind to pull a building out of its foundation and drops it on top of him, destroying the building in the process. She had no way of knowing whether anyone was in the building. She could have killed dozens of innocent people for all she knows. (00:16:25)

Dexter (2006)

Monkey in a Box - S8-E11

Stupidity: Dexter's decision not to kill Trinity when he had the chance eventually led to Rita's death, a mistake Dexter told Deb he would never make again. However, at the end of this episode, he decides to spare Oliver Saxon so Deb can arrest him. Dexter doesn't stay to ensure that Deb successfully has Saxon in custody, which leads to Saxon escaping his shackles with the unwitting help of Deputy Marshal Clayton, and shooting Deb before leaving the scene. Dexter therefore does make the same mistake again.

Dexter (2006)

Goodbye Miami - S8-E10

Stupidity: After Dexter tells Hannah that the U.S. Marshals have distributed her picture everywhere, she questions how she will be able to flee Miami for Argentina. Dexter reasons he and Harrison can leave with her because the authorities won't be looking for a woman traveling with her "husband and child." It doesn't matter who she is or isn't traveling with. If the authorities have shared her picture, she's going to be flagged when she goes through security at the airport, which Dexter should certainly know. This is made all the more egregious when she takes Harrison to the hospital later in the episode and is ID'd by the receptionist.

Eternals (2021)

Trivia: After 13 years and 26 films, this is the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to receive a "rotten" rating from Rotten Tomatoes upon release. This is somewhat ironic given that there were reports that Marvel considered it the best film they had made yet, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige felt it could be a nominee for Best Picture at the Oscars, particularly as its director ChloƩ Zhao had recently won the Best Director Oscar for Nomadland, which also won Best Picture.

Eternals (2021)

Trivia: SPOILER: The mid-credits scene sees the debut of Eros, brother of Thanos, who reveals himself to also be an Eternal. The reason why Thanos looks so different from his human-looking brother is because Thanos carries the Deviant gene.

Jigsaw (2017)

Deliberate mistake: During his autopsy in Saw IV, it is revealed John Kramer was 52 at the time of his death. Kramer's role in this film is the very early stages of his time as Jigsaw, shortly after his cancer diagnosis, which would put him in his early 50's. However, he looks far too old to convincingly be that young (Tobin Bell was in his mid-70's at the time of filming). He even looks older than he did when he was on his deathbed in Saw III.

Savage Land, Strange Heart (1) - S3-E8

Plot hole: When Kazar discovers that Sauron is really his friend Karl Lykos, Lykos reveals that he was turned into Sauron by Mr. Sinister. However, in the season 2 episode Mojovision when Sauron was attacking Shana, Magneto already knew who Sauron was. Magneto was the master of the Savage Land mutates years before Mr. Sinister was and hadn't been to the Savage Land for many years before then, so if Magneto already knew who Sauron was, then it couldn't have been Mr. Sinister who created him.
