Trivia: William Russ revealed on the Pod Meets World podcast that he was initially hesitant about joining the show, as he had never done a sitcom before and wasn't comfortable with the format. The show also ended up being his first experience directing.

No Mutant Is an Island - S5-E4

Character mistake: When Cyclops demonstrates his power to Rusty to show him that he's also a mutant, he shoots an optic blast at a building and blows a gigantic hole in its facade. While the building had the appearance of being condemned, Cyclops had no way of knowing whether there were squatters inside. He could have seriously injured or killed several people for all he knew. Trivia: Cory was originally supposed to have another best friend besides Shawn, and it was intended to be a permanent role played by Chauncey Leopardi. Cory ended up having a rotating second best friend in various episodes of season 1. The cast came to refer to the chair that the second friend would sit in as the "death chair," as Michael Jacobs opted not to bring back any of the actors.

Trivia: In June 2022, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel and Will Friedle launched a podcast titled Pod Meets World, in which they discuss every episode of this show. In the first episode, they revealed that they asked Ben Savage to participate, but he wasn't interested.

Trivia: Cory, Shawn, and Mr. Feeny (voice only) made an appearance in an episode of a short-lived series from 1995 called "Maybe This Time," in which they appeared in an in-universe Boy Meets World episode as part of a waking dream by a character named Gracie. "Maybe This Time" was also produced by Michael Jacobs.

Trivia: The filming of this episode marked the first time in her life that Danielle Fishel had a full haircut. She revealed in the Pod Meets World podcast that she had hair down to her butt by the time she was 2 years old, and only occasionally trimmed it up to that point.

Trivia: On the first episode of the Pod Meets World podcast, Will Friedle revealed he started smoking at around 11 and was a heavy smoker by the time he was 14, and would smoke during filming breaks outside the studio when he was just 16, and none of the grownups would attempt to stop him. He also mentioned William Daniels would walk by him every day and tap the pack of cigarettes tucked into his shirt pocket and say "Right next to your heart."

Trivia: Before settling on saying "And I am Iron Man," the writers toyed with having Tony Stark simply telling Thanos to fuck off, even filming multiple variations of it. Aside from the former line being more poetic, they felt ending the moment on a curse word wasn't the best option, and Disney may have vetoed it anyway.

Trivia: The scene where Termite shrinks down and crawls into the genitals of his lover is supposedly inspired by a joke fan theory for Avengers: Endgame, which suggested that Ant-Man would defeat Thanos by shrinking down, going inside his anus, and then expanding back to normal size.

Trivia: Lena Headey reportedly filmed a role and was paid around $7 million for it, but it was ultimately cut from the final film. Peter Dinklage and Jeff Goldblum were also said to have filmed cameos for their previous roles of Eitri and the Grandmaster, respectively, but those were also cut.

Trivia: When the Kronan god Ninny-Nonny is in Omnipotent City, the throne he is sitting on resembles the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones, but with scissors instead of swords, because when playing rock paper scissors, rock beats scissors.

Trivia: When Jane is explaining the Einstein-Rosen Bridge to the other chemotherapy patient, she mentions the films Event Horizon and Interstellar. Sam Neill and Matt Damon, who have cameo appearances as Asgardian stage actors in this film as well as Thor: Ragnarok, were in Event Horizon and Interstellar, respectively.

Trivia: Gorr is portrayed in the film as being human in appearance. In the comics, he is more alien-looking. This was reportedly done so as to avoid comparisons to Voldemort from the Harry Potter films.
