To Me, My X-Men - S1-E1

Deliberate mistake: When the news program is discussing Gyrich's assassination attempt on Xavier from the series finale of the original animated series, he's shown to have his classic look of auburn hair and sunglasses. However, when this scene occurred, Gyrich had black hair and was not wearing sunglasses. This was done deliberately to match the character design of the original series prior to the final 6 episodes, when Saban took over and redesigned much of the show's look.

Time Fugitives: Part 2 - S2-E8

Trivia: SPOILER FOR X-MEN '97: When Jean Grey scans Cable's mind, she sees an image of Cyclops, and seemingly herself as well, with her hair down (as opposed to her usually having it in a ponytail). Following the revelation in X-Men '97 that the Jean Grey seen in the first few episodes was actually a clone, producer Larry Houston revealed that he deliberately drew the Jean seen in Cable's mind to have her hair down, to suggest it was actually the clone who is Cable's real mother.

The First Omen (2024)

Question: In The Omen, it is stated that Damien's father is Satan and his mother was a jackal. However, in this film, it is shown that his mother is Maragaret Daino and she was impregnated by some demon-jackal hybrid. Am I missing something, or is this an inconsistency?

Phaneron

Answer: You're not missing anything. The original film was almost 50 years ago. The modern-day filmmakers just changed plot details to suit the prequel story and create the character and backstory of Damien's birth mother. This is not unusual for a film franchise or relaunch. It's different directors, writers, and producers who have a different vision or change things to fit a different time.

His manager convinced him to meet with the directors. They agreed to let him improvise the part to his liking, and ended up expanding the role.

X-Men '97 (2023)

Trivia: Ahead of its premiere, it was announced that Morph, who was created for the original animated series, would be non-binary. This led to backlash from some fans, claiming that the show was going "woke." Eric and Julia Lewald, who created the original series, pushed back against these fans, asking if they had learned nothing from the show and the comics that inspired it, as it was always an allegory for civil rights and highlighted people who were different from the norm and dealt with bigotry.
