Continuity mistake: When Storm breaks off communication with Beast, the animation suggests that she is removing the communicators from her chest, but they remain in place. A couple of shots later, they are completely gone. They then reappear and disappear throughout the rest of the episode. Note: this mistake may only apply to the version of the episode that appears on the DVD. In the version of the episode that appears on Disney+, Storm does indeed rip the communicators off her chest. Continuity mistake: At the very beginning of the episode, Sauron can be seen wearing the necklace of Garokk. Not only is he not wearing the necklace a few shots later, but he isn't even supposed to have the necklace until a few minutes later in the episode when Zaladane gives it to him after he reverts to his human form. The Dark Phoenix (2): The Inner Circle - S3-E12

Trivia: The main antagonists in this episode as well as the episode that follows it are the Inner Circle. In the comics, the Inner Circle are a sort of clandestine group of mutants that operate within an elitist social group known as the Hellfire Club. Due to censorship reasons, the Hellfire Club aspect of the group is not acknowledged. Its members are visually based on famous actors. Sebastian Shaw is based on Robert Shaw, Harry Leland is based on Orson Welles, Donald Pierce is based on Donald Sutherland, and Mastermind in his Jason Wyngarde persona is based on Peter Wyngarde. The White Queen/Emma Frost is based on the character Emma Peel from the British television series "The Avengers."
