Dark Phoenix (1): Dazzled - S3-E11

Other mistake: When Wyngarde is facing the wall after White Queen breaks his mental contact with Jean, he is casting a shadow against the wall. However, as the White Queen approaches him, she has no shadow of her own. (00:15:17)

The Prestige (2006)

Trivia: There are a couple times in the movie, where if you listen carefully, you can hear Angier's English accent slip through (such as when he says to Olivia "He lives his act"). These are subtle clues to the later revelation that Angier is a British aristocrat pretending to be an American magician.

The Prestige (2006)

Trivia: Christopher Priest, who wrote the novel that the film is based on, is reportedly a huge fan of the film and even thinks certain aspects of it are better than the novel.

The Simpsons (1989)

Mothers and Other Strangers - S33-E9

Continuity mistake: A teenage Homer and his father travel to Utah to look for Homer's fugitive mother, whom they find. This completely contradicts the episode Mother Simpson, where Homer didn't reconnect with his mom until he was in his late thirties, and was told all his life by his father that she was dead, even believing that the grave of Walt Whitman belonged to his mother.

X-Men (1992)

Dark Phoenix (1): Dazzled - S3-E11

Other mistake: The episode begins with an out-of-place one-second shot of a door opening on a space craft revealing a satellite hovering over Earth before quickly cutting to an establishing shot of Muir Island. Note: this may only apply to the version of the episode that appears on Disney+. (00:01:00)

The Prestige (2006)

Question: Why was Angier's first name of Rupert in the novel changed to Robert for the film?

Phaneron

Answer: I learned the answer to this today while reading the novel, in which Angier states that the name "Rupert" attracts amused inquisitiveness from Americans, so while traveling in the United States, he goes by Robert or Robbie.

General questions

I once saw part of what I think was a TV show (Little House on the Prairie, maybe?), and it featured a scene where a girl in school has drawn a picture of her teacher. The teacher sees the picture and, offended by it, asks who drew it. The boy sitting next to the girl stood up and claimed he did it, and as punishment, the teacher whipped him with a stick. Anyone know what this was from?

Phaneron

Chosen answer: That's from the Disney version of "Tom Sawyer" (1973). I remember that scene, watching it as a child.

Trivia: SPOILER: Although it was the film's worst kept secret, whenever asked, Andrew Garfield would deny, sometimes vehemently, that he would be appearing in it.

Trivia: During one of his shows, J. Jonah Jameson advertises his own brand of health supplements. This is likely a reference to far-right discredited conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who likewise would advertise his own health supplements on his show.
