Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: Gandil and his men leave the cage as Chaney and Jim Henry begin their fight. The weasely bookie grabs the cage above the thick horizontal bar in one shot, but his hand is below the bar in the next shot. (00:49:25)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Chaney sends one of Pettibon's guys flying over the pool table, Pettibon is standing dumbfounded with a beer in hand holding it at different height between shots. Likewise, the man that is hunched to the right of the screen casts on the wall a shadow in a different position between shots. (00:37:55)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Pettibon angrily throws his hat seeing his man got KO'd, the reactions and positions of the people around him change noticeably between shots - look for instance at the lanky aide who walks towards the fallen fighter and how he begins to walk at different times, being in different positions. Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: Chaney and Speed and his girlfriend drive to the country festival where the fight with Pettibon's guy will take place. When they come out of the car, you can see it's exceptionally dusty. Practically covered. However, when they drive away after being effectively robbed of the fight purse, the car is clean - you can spot the contrast looking at the back of the car when they drive away; it's all grimy when the gangsters are laughing them off, and it cuts to a spotless trunk. Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Henry and Chaney struggle for position with Chaney's arm under the brute's chin, Robert Tessier's right hand is grabbing the cage much higher at first, then head-high. (00:51:45)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: Speed and Poe crash the fancy party to set up the bet for 3 grands. James Coburn chews up a toast (and the scenery) saying he'll take Chick Gandil's odds. He chewed the toast whole, but at the next cut the toast reappears in his other hand, previously free. (00:43:35)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: Chaney beats up the gangster who attacks him in the bar brawl and sends him over the pool table - he does it twice with different timings in two separate shots. (00:37:45)

Hard Times (1975)

Revealing mistake: Establishing shots of the party where Chaney will fight Pettibon's guy; when we see the band play and people dance, the footage is rather obviously stopped and reversed to give the impression of a longer shot (evidently they had too little usable film of the crowd dancing). Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: Speed arranges on the phone Chaney's first fight in New Orleans against Mr. Pettibon's man. The people you see walking through the doors of the barbershop never carry over from one shot to the next. (00:30:00)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Chaney gets his cup of coffee at the diner where he spots Lucy Simpson for the first time, the cup turns on its own between shots, as shown by the position of its handle The cup faces away from him again at the end of the sequence when he decides to go be a manly man and molest her. Hard Times (1975)

Factual error: In the establishing shot of the street where Chaney rents in 1930s New Orleans, you can see the sign for Angel Sheet Metal Works, which was created in 1968. (00:13:15)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Chuck is taking a beating after failing to corner his opponent, look at the guy in a red tie cheering by them; out of nowhere has a cigarette pops in his mouth, he chews it with a De Niro-esque underbite, and it disappears suddenly at the cut. (00:06:35)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: When Chaney says momentarily goodbye to Speed Weed and Gayleen Schoonover at the New Orleans station, the passengers walking off the train and behind Bronson change with no consistency between shot and reverse angle. (00:12:25)

Malibu Express (1985)

Other mistake: A long-nailed woman types the opening credits in a computer, but in a couple of instances (the Playboy Playmates, for example) you can see her type away when the credits page is already complete and the names are already there. (00:01:00)

Man of Violence (1970)

Other mistake: In the opening credits, character actor Andreas Malandrinos has his last name (as it happened not infrequently throughout his career) misspelled as "Melandrinos" (00:02:55)

Hard Times (1975)

Continuity mistake: At the 'champagne breakfast', Lucy asks Chaney how does he "make money." Her purse's handle is up, then down. It happens again in the same scene when Chaney makes the joke about him "feeling better" than the other guy when he is not the one getting KOd. (00:00:42)

Hard Times (1975)

Factual error: When Chaney shoots towards the bar counter, the bar sports a calendar that shows exactly 29 days in the month. The only possible month with 29 days the first being on a Sunday would be February of the leap year 1930, but the movie is set post-prohibition. The scene is not set in February anyway - minutes later they show up at Lucy's home at 5 am and the sun shines.
