Question: Reverse Flash has time-travelled numerous times in the comic books, and in the movie Flash even mentions to Batman that he can travel through time. Yet apparently when Reverse Flash time-travels, there are virtually no other changes to history except for what he wanted to happen (e.g., murder Iris, etc.). Is it ever mentioned in the comics that Reverse Flash has a greater level of mastery over time-travel, whereby he can do it without causing a "time-boom" and completely altering history?

Matty Blast

Chosen answer: In the comics it is explained there are points in time that can not be changed, "solidified time", while other points are fluid and can be changed without any consequences. Thawne does not have any more mastery over time then Barry does, but understands it far better.

Question: If Reverse Flash can't kill Barry in an unaltered time line because he will mess up his own past, then why is he trying to kill him in the beginning of the movie before the Flashpoint change? He traps Flash in the Flash museum and places explosives on him with intent to kill.

Quantom X

Chosen answer: Reverse Flash knows he'll be wiped out of existence, but he doesn't care. He's so obsessed with killing Flash in a satisfying way that he's willing to sacrifice his own life to do it. That's why he stays completely calm when the Flash moves the charge to his shoulder and tells him he'll die too. This is further evidenced by the fact that he didn't care that Aquaman's WMD would kill him along with everyone else.

Matty Blast

Which still makes no sense... because then why doesn't he just go back in time and kill him?

Question: Just before they find Superman, Flash, Batman and Cyborg are walking through a room that has several containers holding various dead aliens. Are any of these supposed to represent any other characters or beings in the DC universe or elsewhere?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: The government was combining Superman's DNA with various creatures to see what would result, which is why Cyborg tried to explain to the government fighters that he was just being used as a lab rat. That being said, however, there is one being in preservation that looks like a normal man; per the DVD commentary, that creature is Flashpoint Bizarro.

Question: Fagin and the gang want Oliver back out of fear that he might tell about them. But there are some things I don't understand. 1. How long Oliver had been with Brownlow is unknown (Bill says it had been three days since he saw him during the "Who Will Buy" song), but since no police had arrived at the hideout during that time, surely they'd think Oliver hadn't said anything by now. 2. And even if they did think the above, why would they still think Oliver might say something later on? (01:34:50 - 01:37:00)

JohnShel91

Chosen answer: They're probably concerned because he's a child. He might unintentionally say something without meaning to, or after some time has passed and more is learned about Oliver's past life at Fagin's hideout, it's conceivable he might be questioned more intensely. A child would likely give more information under pressure.

Question: What is the name of the actor who plays Notre Dame player 75, last name Mateus? I can't find him in the credits. He's the guy who starts chanting "Rudy" during the Georgia Tech game. I know Al Snow aka Allen Sarven plays an uncredited Notre Dame player in the movie, but it is not him - I have seen pics of Al Snow, and he is NOT the guy. There is more than one uncredited Notre Dame player in the film. (I have posted this question before, and the reply was Al Snow, so please don't answer this unless you actually know who the actor is. Thank you.)

Answer: According to the Trivia section (as well as some web searching) it seems to be Peter Rausch, an ex-Notre Dame football player.

Answer: Peter Rausch had already completed his NCAA eligibility by the time the movie started filming. He can be seen wearing the number 75, starting the "Rudy" chant from the field. His character's name is "Steve."

Answer: His real last name is Mateus. He and several Western Michigan University football players were cast in the film. I know this for fact because I worked at Scott's iron Campus in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He and several of his friends were close friends with the owner and were in the restaurant almost daily. They also built a loft bed for me in the dorms.

Question: In the film Elaine is going around taking dinner orders on paper like a waitress which has never been the way airlines do it. They bring the cart down the aisle and then ask what you want. So my question is, is this an in-joke, a goof, or did some airlines really do it this way back then?

Gavin Jackson

Chosen answer: Airlines have done this in the past. Remember that back in the late 70's when this was filmed, flying was still somewhat of a rare occasion for a lot of people, and airlines treated customers much better.

Question: Does the Mask of Truth do anything for the player besides allow them to see secret messages in the stone clocks?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: There is another thing it does for the player. Deep in the Lost Woods is an area with two creatures that will sell the player items. Look for where you see a bunch of butterflies gathered. Head toward them and you will fall into a hole. When you land put on the Mask of Truth and slowly walk forward. Some Deku creatures will pop out and look at you. After this talk to the big Deku creature to the right and he will increase your ability to hold more Deku nuts. Wearing other masks from the Happy Mask shop will also have different reactions from the Deku Scrubs.

Chosen answer: The chemical properties of diamonds enhance the laser beams that cool his suit.

LorgSkyegon

Chosen answer: This is Dick Grayson who will later become Nightwing.

Greenman37

Question: When Barbara tells Batman that she is Batgirl, he responds saying ""That's PC" and suggests other names. What did he mean by it's PC?

Quantom X

Chosen answer: "Politically Correct." He's joking with her.

MasterOfAll

Chosen answer: Completely, yes, although Cage neglected to inform anybody that he was planning to do it until they started shooting, so he got some very odd looks at first until they figured out what he was up to.

Tailkinker

Chosen answer: The box can steal other peoples' thoughts and their intelligence, beaming that information into the Riddler's and Two Face's minds.

raywest

Chosen answer: It's never specifically stated, but he is supposed to be a minor, which would probably make him around 16 or 17-years-of-age. Bruce Wayne becomes his guardian after Dick's parents are killed.

Question: Could you please tell me what the father is calling guacamole in the scene where Alex and Isabelle's parents meet? Alex's father says something about guacamole, and Isabelle's father says, "Now you insult (?) guacamole". I can't find what he says anywhere. Thank you.

Answer: "Now you're offending Amalia's guacamole! What's wrong with Amalia's guacamole?!"

I believe it says Mayan's guacamole. Not Amalia's.

No, Tomas says Amalia. Amalia is his wife.

Bishop73

Answer: Amalia is her mother... so yes he says Amalia.

Question: What is the name of the song played that Toulour breakedances with, to get through the lasers. It is not on the soundtrack.

Answer: The song is the instrumental for "The a la Menthe" by French rappish group "La Caution".

Question: This makes no sense at all to me. Exactly how did Chris survive her very first encounter with Jason? She tells Rick about how he grabbed her by the ankles and was dragging her off when she fainted from fear and then woke up in her room at home. What exactly happened in the time in between? It's been mentioned that Jason raped Chris after dragging her away or at least he attempted to rape her. The Jason character does not rape. Period. Are we really supposed to believe that the murderous Jason just suddenly felt bad for her and brought her back to her home of his own free will? (00:48:30 - 00:51:45)

blonddude207

Chosen answer: Chris never said anything about rape. As for what happened to her, no one really knows. Maybe she reminds Jason of his mother like in the new Friday the 13th movie.

Question: In the scene where the bride first enters Hattori Hanzo's loft, directly following the scene in the sake bar, what is the name of the song that plays?

crateguy

Question: Loki gets captured at the opera. Thor then appears and captures him and flies him onto a mountain and is ambushed by Iron Man. At the end of their fight several minutes later, Loki is still there. This obviously means he wanted to be captured. Why would he want to have been captured? He already had the Tesseract, plus all the equipment he needed to open the portal and Hawkeye was just going to break him out anyway. What exactly was his objective once he was in the Helicarrier?

Chosen answer: Loki wants to take out the Avengers as a threat, and the helicarrier is the best place to do that. In a deleted scene, Hawkeye and Loki are discussing this, and Hawkeye says that he knows they are on the Helicarrier, but it is impossible to find with a form of guidance. This you can see when Hawkeye is making his approach on the carrier: he was tracking Loki's scepter.

Friso94

Answer: He still need some more equipment. Eariler in the film, in Loki's HQ, he and Zombied Hawkeye are discussing they need a few pieces to create a stable portal, plus an unlimited power source. Which is Stark Tower and the staff to jump start the machine.

dan coakley..

Chosen answer: She is both, being there to accept the award for Best Actress.

LorgSkyegon

Answer: She was receiving the Oscar for her movie Queen of the night.

Answer: At the beginning they mention she was in the movie "I have Nothing", which the title song was a hit for a long period of time.
