Chosen answer: His first name is never given. I've done an extensive Internet search and there is no reference to it at all. It is not unusual for a character to be referred to only by their first or last name.

Nessuno (Nobody) - S1-E9

Question: Why does Giovanni Sforza not prove he is not impotent? Was he in fact not able to perform in front of others or find the woman undesirable? I know historically he agreed to the annulment; but why? Was this scene historically accurate?

Bishop73

Chosen answer: The Borgias arranged Lucrezia's marriage to Giovanni Sforza for their own political gain. When Giovanni was no longer considered useful to them politically, they sought to end the marriage. Eventually, Giovanni reluctantly agreed to admit to impotence in exchange for keeping Lucrezia's dowry, which normally would have reverted back to the family in the event of an annulment. Divorce was rare at that time, and being unable to consummate a marriage was one grounds for an annulment. In the series, when the Borgias convene the College of Cardinals to have Giovanni prove his potency by performing with two overweight and unattractive prostitutes, he refuses because he is humiliated. The historical facts are mostly accurate, though the part about the prostitutes is probably fiction.

Chosen answer: It revealed that Bond was likely falling in love with her, so either they were "tears of joy" and she was emotional at this revelation, or she was actually quite upset as she had feelings for him too and was about to betray him by stealing the money for Quantum.

Sierra1

Answer: Or she didn't need him for the password after all. Which means she could have kept him out of the whole thing.

Question: In the scene when the Mad Hatter is "fixing" the rabbit's watch, the Hatter exclaims "It was!" before the rabbit states that the watch was an unbirthday present. Is this on purpose? Or an editing mistake?

Answer: Actually, the White Rabbit sees his damaged watch, says "Oh! My watch". THEN the Mad Hatter says "It was!", then the White Rabbit says that it was an unbirthday gift. So the exchange of dialogue makes sense.

CCARNI

Question: After the cop comes to take Deckard to see Captain Bryant, they get in a police car and the screen says Purge, as mentioned in a trivia entry, just before taking off. Why does it say purge before lifting off the ground?

Quantom X

Question: When the girls first meet Aquamarine, they scream after she shouts 'BOO' to them. But the two girls already knew that Aquamarine was there, so why did Hailey and Claire scream?

Question: During Clu's "Toast" to his army, there is a closeup of one particular program that has been converted. For some reason, this looks like Gem to me, even though the impression is that she died in the End of Line club (though if the sequence happened in real time, there was plenty of time for them to escape the club before it blew) Is it supposed to be Gem, or another significant program, or just a cool shot showing Clu's reflection in the visor of the program?

oldbaldyone

Chosen answer: There's no indication that it's anyone we'd know. I'm pretty sure the shot was simply placed there for the visual it creates.

Question: The star on the uniform patch (right sleeve) has five points and the star on the patrol car has five points but the actual badge has six points. Why the discrepancy?

Answer: There's probably no known reason for the discrepancy, and it's unlikely related to the story line. It may simply be that the show's props department were lax about small details like that. It could also be explained that Mayberry being such a small town with a limited budget may have acquired surplus badges and other second-hand equipment from some other town's police department.

Question: The scientists of the genetic research lab were first attacked by the Hellknight monster, which was actually the human test subject. Since after the incident the research lab was quarantined and the first Hellknight could have gone nowhere, how is it that the Marine troops didn't encounter the first monster even once when they entered the genetic research lab?

Answer: This is explained by the fact that it was likely hiding, waiting to see what the RRTS would do. After all, the human test subject still had its personality, as far as is known. It would've waited to discover their weaknesses, stalking them like a predatory animal stalks its prey.

Question: Many years ago, I saw on TV (while I was in Florida before 2004) another film version of Phantom of the Opera where Minnie Driver played the role of Christine Daae. I remember being surprised because I did not know she could sing. Clearly, she later played the role of Carlotta in Joel Schumacher film version. But what version was that film where she played Christine? I have been trying to find that version but have been unable to do so.

seeker

Chosen answer: Minnie Driver was born in 1970 in London, England. A search of IMDb.com yields four film and television productions of "Phantom" between 1970 and 2004. The 1983 TV Film was not a remake of the original musical, and there is no character named Christine (even if there were, it is unlikely she would have been played by a 13 year-old actress) In the other productions, the role of Christine was portrayed by (in chronological order) : Jill Schoelen (1989), Terri Polo (1990, TV), and Asia Argento (1998, Italy) Minnie Driver's IMDb oeuvre also does not list any other production of "Phantom" beside the 2004 film. Further, though Minnie Driver is an accomplished singer (she sings the original song, "Learn To Be Lonely" over the credits of "Phantom"), she is not a trained opera singer. In fact, her opera singing in "Phantom" was dubbed by Margaret Preece. As such, it is unlikely Minnie Driver ever portrayed Christine Daae in any version of "Phantom of the Opera".

Michael Albert

Question: I've been wondering this since I was very little. When The Wizard of Oz was first released in theaters in 1939, was Oz in color or is that only for the televised version? This has been bugging me for years.

Answer: The Emerald City was, indeed, presented in color in the original 1939 film. In fact, even Kansas was not originally purely black-and-white. The Kansas scenes were initially sepia tinted. Later prints showed Kansas in black-and-white. The original sepia tones were returned in the 1989 restoration for the film's 50th anniversary.

Michael Albert

Question: Who is the actress we only see as photographs or slides in her funeral that played Liam Neeson's wife and Sam's mother?

Answer: The photos of Joanna (Daniel's wife and Sam's mother) were of documentary filmmaker Rebecca Frayn.

Question: When Ginny was taken into the Chamber, how did Minerva and the other teachers know it was her? If anyone had seen it happening, wouldn't they have been attacked by the monster as well?

Answer: If any student was suddenly missing it would be noticed by the students and/or the teachers. The students are always closely monitored and it would simply be a matter of deduction after doing a head count or roll call. Most likely Fred and George Weasley noticed that their sister was gone.

Question: Did Harry simply get away with attacking Professor Snape? It happened before the moment that he and Hermione would time-travel back to, so it wasn't erased.

Answer: Harry was acting to save Sirius, who Snape was intending to turn over to the Dementors so his soul could be sucked out. Due to the unusual circumstances, Dumbledore would not have allowed Harry to be punished for protecting his godfather and uncovering the truth that proved his innocence. Dumbledore also knew Snape had acted inappropriately due to his personal hatred of Sirius. In the book, Snape was simultaneously jinxed by Harry, Ron, and Hermione. Snape later claimed they were not responsible for their own actions and were coerced.
