Question: What is up with all of the random clips in the intro to the show? Only a select few appear in the show, and they all look like they were recorded using a camcorder which has been held up to a TV screen. Most have nothing to do with the show whatsoever. One involves some Japanese cartoon, another involves some kind of suit closing around someone's head, another shows someone skiing down a ski slope while on fire. Why?
Chosen answer: Wikipedia has a list of all the references from the opening.Since children are more impressionable, they tend to remember certain aspects of different things. The bits you see may indicate the scattered thoughts of youth, and how things can go by in a quick flash, whilst only remembering significant parts (in this case, it seems to be violence-orientated).
Question: Is Tony really in danger when Pepper pulls out the copper ring? The screens behind him light up, and he acts like he is in danger, but his reaction once the process is complete leads one to believe that he may have just been messing with Pepper. Also, why does Tony go into cardiac arrest when the copper ring is pulled out? The magnet is keeping the shards out of his heart, not keeping his heart running, even though they state in the movie that it is powering his heart). Perhaps I am just confused about what is actually happening with the device.
Chosen answer: The movie interchangeably refer to the device as keeping the shrapnel out of his heart and keeping it beating. The latter is supported by both this scene and the comment by Dr. Yinsen that the arc reactor could "run (his) heart for fifty lifetimes. The opening exposition in the cave explaining the danger of the shrapnel explains that it takes "about a week" for it to kill its subjects. Given how fast he started dying both in the scene with the copper ring and when Obadiah forcibly removed the arc reactor, it's entirely possible that the system is also acting as an admittedly very fancy pacemaker.
Question: Were all Josie's class virgins? I get the impression that they were because in the sex education scene, where Anitie asks, "Are there any questions?" they all put their hands up.
Answer: Given that Anita isn't a real sex ed teacher the class was probably confused by her bizarre little 'sex talk' and had some questions to ask her regarding that.
Answer: It's quite likely that at least one or two people were not virgins. A non-virgin could still have questions that they want to ask an older adult, who has more sexual experience.
Question: I guess I wasn't paying much attention, but who is the girl he is talking to at the end about killing her parents? More so what I mean is, who are her parents, and when did he kill them? I have no idea what he is referencing and don't remember him killing a male and a female at any point.
Question: Was there only one It? If It/Pennywise, was an alien or something, how come there wasn't more of them?
Question: When Commodus lies on the bed with Lucilla, was he going to kiss her?
Answer: Depends on what you mean by "kiss". There are two ways one can describe his motives when he moves in on her. 1) he simply wants to give her a platonical good night kiss. 2) he wants a kiss that leads to something more. Commodus' signals toward Lucilla throughout the movie shows very strong passionable attraction from his side. Either way, whatever motives Commodus' "kiss" was, Lucilla despises her brother so much she leaves. And the conclusion, yes, he was going to kiss her.
Question: The new element created -- what is it? And why does Breast Padiumul end so quickly?
Chosen answer: He created a new element more powerful than palladium that doesn't end quickly - likely Vibranium, but that's never referenced in the movie. Palladium was burning out quickly because of the continuous use of the Iron Man suit.
Answer: It was meant to be a type of Vibranium before Captain America came out, so it's left ambigious in the movies.
Question: When Chick's pit crew insults Guido, he yells back something in Italian. Can someone translate to English?
Answer: Guido says something like "Who do you think you're talking to? Who are you talking to?"
Question: What are the clothes and types of chucks Sodapop wears? I know they are plaid shirts but does anyone know the entire outfit when the boys are going to the rumble?
Chosen answer: Simple question, simple answer. Throughout the movie, and on the way to the rumble, he wears a (different colored) plaid shirt, white tee, blue jeans (on the day of the rumble he asks Darry "and where are my jeans?), and worn out tennis shoes.
Question: In the Thailand fight scene, the Thai fighter makes a big move and does a flying kick towards Topper, but Topper just looks at him and he stops just before connecting and falls to the floor. Is this from a specific movie?
Chosen answer: The whole fight scene in Thailand is supposed to be a homage to Rambo: First Blood Part Two, and the fighter falling is just typical ZAZ humour.
Not Rambo: First Blood II, but Rambo III.
Question: Why did the king and queen disappear when the king signed the contract? The deal was that Fiona will be saved from the curse if he did - but Fiona wasn't saved at all. Was the contract void from something?
Answer: Rumpelstiltskin used a contract that 'made all their problems disappear'. He didn't reference any specific problem and the king and queen assumed it would cure the curse. However, it just makes the king and queen disappear, and since they have disappeared, they will no longer have any problems.
Question: What was the heinous metal contraption placed on Wade's head, prior to him being sprayed with hot wax, supposed to insinuate? The needle-like probes did not appear to puncture him. Was it simply for effect?
Answer: It is simply a contraption to keep Wade in place so he doesn't move and the wax can be applied. It's also used to keep the wax out of his eyes, ears, nose and mouth.
Question: An interesting wind-up lute-type musical instrument is played at one point. Would such an instrument have existed at that time?
Answer: By "Wind-up lute", I assume you mean the hurdy-gurdy. Certainly, instruments fitting the description of the hurdy-gurdy were around in the time when Robin Hood was set.
Question: Why was Hannibal Lecter so interested in Clarice's past? How would it benefit him?
Answer: Knowing about her past gives him an advantage in how he can manipulate her - he understands her fears, weaknesses, strengths, and so on. A psychiatrist normally deconstructs a patient's psychological make-up to better understand and help them, but in Lecter's case, he uses this knowledge against his victims. However, as he learns about Clarice, he becomes sympathetic and protective toward her.
Answer: Also, he loves psychiatry and analyzing people. He is bored in his cell and this is a chance to do something he enjoys a lot.
Answer: Clarice's answers also enable Lecter to assess her honesty/ integrity and sincerity, as well as ascertain if she is trustworthy - or even worthy - enough for him to reveal certain kinds of information.
Answer: I remember a scene where he seems to roll his eyes in a kind of ecstasy as he comprehends, then thanks her, and shortly after touches her hand as he passes the folder. "People will say we're in love."
Answer: They had sex once, but Kat didn't want to have sex with him again, and that made him angry because he was very narrow-minded and hormonal and wanted sex. It made matters worse that she also threatened to tell the cheering squad that his dick is small, which would ruin his chances of getting sex in the future.
Answer: To be fair, she threatened him to keep him from telling anyone that they had had sex.
Question: Did anyone know that Gordon didn't actually die? Or were Batman or Dent in on the plan?
Answer: Given Dent's reaction after Gordon saves him it seems he had no idea. It seems by Batman's reaction in the armored car chase that he knew Gordon was the driver but it's not totally clear. Batman going to Gordon's house after his apparent death gives viewers the idea he also thought Gordon was dead. This may have just been Batman "playing to appearances" so to say. The way the chase ended seems to lead you to think Batman and Gordon had planned the whole thing together.
Question: What hits Jesse Ventura in the face/side of the neck right before the Predator blasts the giant hole in his torso? For a second or two after he sees the skunk, something wet appears to hit him in the face and daze him. I always wondered what that was supposed to be.
Chosen answer: The first thing that hits Blaine is supposed to be an edged weapon. It only appears on screen for 3 frames. The predator missed, the shot was supposed to take Blaine's face off, but he turned his head after seeing the cute wildlife. Instead the weapon hit his shoulder and took his ear off, you can see this added in the second frame. The weapon now a blur flashes past on the third frame. Realizing he missed, the Predator finishes Blaine off with the plasma caster.
Answer: The Predator shoots and kills the skunk that Ventura sees. It splatters on his neck and face. Then the Predator, seeing another animal in his heat vision, which is Ventura, shoots him.
That's not correct as if it was the blood of the slain creature it would not cause Blaine to reel back by the shock of getting hit with it. You can see the edged weapon in the first, second and third frame as it slices Blaine's ear and covers his neck and shoulder with his blood.
His ear never comes off. It's actually a stun attack from the predator's kit.
Question: When Frollo, has Ezmeralda, in his grip in the the church, he says "I was just imagining a rope around that beautiful neck" and she says "i know what you were imagining", what was he thinking? I assume its something sexual, but its a cartoon.
Answer: It was most certainly sexual. Frollo's whole arc was his fight against his carnal desires (seeing Esmerelda dancing in the fire, sniffing her hair, etc). In order to maintain a G-rating, they couldn't be overtly sexual, which is why it's done through suggestion and subtext.
Answer: The entire point is that he lusts after her. However, the Disney movie does not dive into that nearly as much as the novel.
Question: Does anybody know why exactly Max wants the NOC list and if she gets it, what she is going to do with it?
Chosen answer: I don't think it's ever outright stated. But presumably she would use it to sell the names to other governments or extort the money from the US government to protect its assets.

Answer: The fight is quite protracted, and several times during the fight, lightsabres are cutting through materials, which logically would cause the dust you describe on Vader.
