Hellraiser (1987)

Audio problem: When Chatterer appears and shoves Frank back in the attic, we get a closeup of his teeth chattering, but when it cuts to a wideshot, he's no longer doing it. You could argue that he just stopped as the camera cut (a little flimsy, but arguably a valid correction), but the real issue? They continue to play the "chattering" sound effect for about a second after he stops even though his teeth are no longer moving. They try to mask it by fading it out quickly... but it makes the moment feel wonky.

Hellraiser (1987)

Visible crew/equipment: As Kirsty exits the storage room (where the corpse spewed maggots on her), you can see a boom-mic shadow appear on the wall behind her in the upper left corner of the screen, and even follow the actress slightly as she moves. It's only on screen for a couple seconds and can be hard to catch, but once you see it, it's super obvious. (01:19:36)

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: When Kirsty is scooting along the floor of the storage room, a few shots before the corpse falls down and spews maggots on her, you can see her shirt is pulled up rather tightly around her neck. Then suddenly, right before the corpse falls out, it's pulled down a bit again. (Because they wanted the effect of the maggots falling into her shirt).

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: As Frank (in Larry's skin) pulls the knife out of Julia's stomach, we get a quick closeup of the wound. If you pay attention, some of the blood appears to be unnaturally thick and "goopy" and is "rolling off" of her shirt rather than sticking to it and staining it, revealing it's fake. A lot of fake blood recipes cause this issue... some will stick and stain the fabric, but a lot of it will kind of just roll off because it's sometimes thicker than actual blood.

Hellraiser (2022)

Trivia: At Voight's estate, Trevor asks Nora "What's your pleasure, ma'am?" when offering to make her a drink. This is a subtle callback to the original film, where the nameless merchant asks "What's your pleasure, Mr. Cotton?" and later "What's your pleasure, sir?" when selling the box.

Hellraiser (1987)

Audio problem: When Steve and the nurse discover Kirsty has fled the hospital, their lines don't quite match their lip movements when they are on-screen. Especially when Steve says "Maybe she's gone back to..." (Several characters were redubbed with American accents in post, which may explain the discrepancy). (01:10:04)

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: Throughout much of the third act at the house, the smeared makeup under Kirsty's eyes subtly changes a few times, and even disappears and reappears once or twice. Since she's crying and sweating throughout the sequence, it seems they were reapplying the makeup every so often, and it sometimes didn't quite match. (It happens enough that I think one "blanket mistake" is best, rather than pointing out every single incidence).

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: When Kirsty first encounters Frank wearing her father's skin, Frank says "It's finished" and Kirsty replies "Why is it finished?!" Suddenly, Frank rotates about 90° between cuts. (01:12:30)

Hellraiser (1987)

Deliberate mistake: When Larry comes inside the house (right after Kirsty encounters the cenobites and Frank and Julia discuss getting him a new skin), he is absolutely bone dry... but we can hear a steady, heavy downpour outside when he opens the door. Seems like they added a rain sound effect in post for a creepy ambiance even though it wasn't shot with that in mind. (01:09:35)

Hellraiser (1987)

Audio problem: When Julia and Frank are talking after Kirsty first encounters the cenobites, if you look closely, Frank's words don't quite match his lip movements a few times. It's especially noticeable when he snaps out "What I care about is a new skin!," which doesn't match in the slightest. (01:09:15)

Teacher's Pet - S1-E4

Trivia: Musetta Vander, who plays Miss French/She-Mantis, was very squeamish about the scene where she makes an "insect sandwich" with crickets. Not only was she grossed out by having to handle real crickets, but as an animal lover, she was incredibly worried that she'd accidentally kill one of them when she folded the bread over. According to Vander, no crickets were killed during the filming of the scene. (When the showed her eating the sandwich, they switched it out with another cricket-less one).

Revealing mistake: When Joey gets "cut" by the chain in the hospital in the beginning, pay attention. In the shot where she gets "cut," you can plainly see all that happens is the chains slap a little blood on her ankle without any signs of actual damage. Then, a few shots later, there's a very quick closeup of the "cut," and you can see that all they did was paint a little gooey "blood" over the top of her pantyhose, which aren't ripped through at all. (Nor is there a visible cut, either).

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: When Kirsty is fighting Frank in the attic, as she grabs the puzzle box, watch closely. It's very subtle and hard to notice, but the box rotates about 45° between cuts when it punches from the medium shot to the closeup of Kirsty grabbing it.

Practical Magic (1998)

Trivia: The production hired a practising witch to be a consultant. However, after being hired, the witch began making insane demands, including wanting a percentage of the gross, some merchandizing rights, and an additional $250,000 on top of what she was already being paid. After the production understandably refused, she began screaming in tongues over the phone and "cursed" the production, then began lawyering up. The studio heads freaked out, and paid her just to get her to leave the production.

Hellraiser (1987)

Audio problem: When Steve says "What?" to Kirsty at the pet-store, it's pretty painfully obvious that the line was dubbed in during post. The audio is much more loudly spoken than he appears to be speaking. (Several characters were redubbed with American accents in post. Presumably this is the reason for the inconsistency). (00:45:33)

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: When Frank holds up the puzzle box to show Julia, the box rotates in his hand instantly between edits when it punches in to a closeup. (First, it's the side with the large circle in the center facing out, then it's the side with the much smaller circle facing out.) As the scene cuts back and forth between the two angles, this error keeps occurring. (00:47:18)

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When Julia first encounters the resurrected Frank, as Frank speaks, you can see where the makeup ends around his mouth, and see nice, normal flesh inside his cheeks a few times, even though he's meant to be a gross, rotting shell of a human.

Hellraiser (1987)

Continuity mistake: After Larry stumbles into the attic, he bleeds a pretty large puddle onto the floor. He then stumbles towards Julia, and in the wide high-angle shot, we see no blood on the floor whatsoever, even though it should be visible.

Audio problem: When the moving man says "That your daughter?" to Larry, the audio doesn't match the lip movements in the slightest, revealing the line was dubbed. (Several characters were redubbed with American accents in post. Presumably this is the reason for the inconsistency).
