Answer: It's actually the third, the first two being Robin Hood and Bambi (no human is ever seen, only heard in Bambi).

Question: Forgive me for being stupid, but what's the point about Sam's salt box in the extended cut? Was it originally going to be Galadriel's gift to Sam (he receives one in the book) and then they changed it? That part seems a little useless to me as it is.
Answer: It's to show that he's still holding on to something from home, that he still has hope for their mission. Peter Jackson mentions this on the commentary. He was always intended to get rope from Galadriel.

Question: Ben Affleck first met Uma Thurman at a party just before he was offered and accepted the three year job. Surely he would have recognized her after having his memory wiped even if he could not remember any of the time they spent together.
Answer: He does recognize Rachel from the party as well as when he when he saw her at Allcom. The only things he doesn't remember are the last three years of his life since starting the project. So, while he does remember her, the three years they spent together while at Allcom are a total blank. This recognition is shown when he meets with Porter who helps him escape.
But later, when he is going through her stuff, he says he doesn't remember her. Also, if he did remember her, he would have known it wasn't her when the imposter was in the restaurant (also no need to have the imposter try to dress like her either).
Answer: Do you remember every person you've ever talked to at a party? Didn't think so. His memory isn't restored back to perfect condition - he's still had three years to forget about details at the party. He remembers things like the origins of the deal because it was important.

Question: When Smith tries to infect Bane and then Neo, they don't seem to be in a lot of pain when Smith plunges his hand into them. (They look more startled than anything else. Also, we are shown that the rebels' digital selves can suffer pain, remember when Trinity got shot?) Wouldn't it hurt if someone pushed his fingers into them, breaking their breastbone/sternum?
Answer: It's not explained in the film but it looks like Smith doesn't physically punch through the sternum; since it is just a digital world his hand melds with the persons body when he punches, and then proceeds to infect. He can control the matrix in some aspects this way.

Question: What exactly does NOC mean? It's never established in the movie.
Answer: "Non-Official Cover". Operative who work for the CIA but are not formally recognized or connected (in case a mission goes bad - he would be on his own). Same thing from The Recruit.
It's never stated verbally, but it's visible on computer screens on several occasions.

Happy Gilmore (1996)
Question: In the movie, when you see Happy's dream (happy place) for the second time, you see Shooter "eat" Grandma's tongue, however, in the TV version, that part is cut out, why? There's nothing bad about that part.
Answer: I tried to find if a specific reason was given, but couldn't. However, movie studios provide the edited version of films for television and airlines. Removing this scene (or this scene and whatever else was cut) probably would have given "Happy Gilmore" an MPAA rating of "PG", making it more suitable to broadcast. (Of course, this is 90's MPAA standards, and if "Happy Gilmore" was released today, it might get a "PG" rating and not "PG-13.) Additionally, scenes are also cut for time, so the version that was broadcast might have been for time and not content. Studios will also include deleted scenes (often not available on home release versions) into the broadcast version to ensure the film is long enough if too many scenes have to be cut.

Question: Sgt. Eversman says that none of it would have happened if Blackburn hadn't fallen. I don't understand in what way his fall started things.
Answer: If he hadn't fallen they wouldn't have had to send men down to retrieve him with the stretcher etc., and they would have gotten out of the area immediately.
Answer: To add to the previous answer. Following Blackburn's fall, they brought him to the target building to be brought back to the safe zone, which was done by Struecker and three Humvees. From the way it is portrayed in the film, it looks like Super Six-One was providing roof-top level over watch for the Humvees when it was shot down by an RPG. SSgt. Eversmann was then ordered to secure the crash site. Eversmann believes Blackburn's fall set everything in motion. This is also why Hoot gives him the speech on "it just being war and there was nothing he could have done differently that would have changed anything."

Question: What is the significance of tearing the trees down at Isengard?
Chosen answer: The orcs burn the wood for power to create the Uruk army. It acts as a metaphor for technology destroying nature. And it is what causes the Ents to join the war in The Two Towers.

Carrie (1976)
Question: Why exactly did Carrie's house collapse at the end? I thought it could be old age, Carrie's powers or the fire, does anyone know?
Answer: The whole idea of the movie and the book is that Carrie is an innocent, harmless young girl with unusual powers, driven over the edge by the cruelties she endures on a daily basis, while her mother is completely insane and uses a warped form of Christianity as an outlet for her madness. In fact, most of Margaret White's supposed "quotes" from the Bible are made up by her. The original answer is correct: Carrie's powers cause the house to collapse.
Answer: We actually just talked about this in my film class, and the consensus was that her surging powers began the house's collapse, and she felt so guilty about killing her mother that she brought the house down so that they would both be dead in it together.
Answer: I perceive it as Carrie's mother was truly the foundation of good and Carrie was possessed by evil. Once her mother was dead the foundation of good was gone and evil was able to take over completely. This explains Carrie's fear as she no longer had any good.

Question: So how exactly did Neo defeat Smith? The only possibility I can think of is that since Neo is connected to the Deus Ex Machina, he gets infected with Smith and then the Machine God can destroy the program in Neo thus causing a chain reaction. So am I right?
Answer: You are right. In "Reloaded" the Oracle tells Neo that when programs face deletion they either go to the source to be recycled back into the matrix code, or go into exile. Smith went into exile but effectively "returned to the source" when he infected Neo, who was connected directly to the source.

Question: I saw this movie in theatres in Jakarta, Indonesia and my friends and I were surprised at how often we would see a boom mike drop into the scene, is it just me or did anyone else catch this? Was this done on purpose to keep the idea of a movie that depicts realistic imperfection?
Answer: No, this was not done on purpose. The projectionist in your theater simply did not frame the film correctly.

Question: In the very first scene in the movie, Brat Pitt says something like, "Any last words?", to which Ed answers, "I can't think of anything". At the end of the movie, you see that scene again, but this time Ed answers, "I still can't think of anything". Why is this? Weren't the scenes supposed to be exactly the same?
