When Jim was still in his truck, he had one dripping blood line, but two inside the Checkpoint. It is also questionable how he got the blood on his coat; Jim was wearing an orange vest over his coat at the time. For example, the purple highlights on the right side were far more pronounced (two wide, distinct, vivid lines) when she got home compared to when she first met Ward. Lavinia rode her horse Comet home, so her hair would have been wind-blown and the highlights would not have been likely to be neatly straight down, especially since she has long curly hair. Continuity mistake: Erin's dorm room door is not consistently the same. The door knob is initially unusually low, but higher thereafter. The posters and decorations are probably less than one foot higher than the door knob, but are higher later. Continuity mistake: When Fenn finds the doll in the tree trunk cavity, shadows are cast in several different (contradictory) directions. If Fenn's shadow was in front of him, he was walking west toward the dead tree; north would be to his right. Examples: The tree's trunk and one branch were casting shadows to the south moments earlier and Geary and the tree were casting shadows to the northwest a little later. Continuity mistake: When the "kid" rolls off his sled into the snow, his sled is right behind him and about to hit the leg he was turning over in the air, but an aerial view shows the sled's tracks stop about 10' before the kid. In the aerial view, the sled is facing and headed toward the cliff, not ending up perpendicular to the cliff as the ground view show. Also from the aerial view, when the "kid" turns his leg around in the air, the sled is already stopped above, not about to ram him. (00:02:50)

The pencil sharpener, awkwardly mounted on the door frame, gets moved to the right. The hallway is a tan wall, but later just a closed door. When one of Patrick's goons (Dwayne) enters the barn, the dogs change within a few seconds. The two black dogs are suddenly gone and a brown dog takes their place.
