Continuity mistake: The scene where Aidan is waiting for his mother in the classroom starts with a close-up of his hand drawing a sun. From the way the rays are arranged we can tell that it's not the same drawing that's used in the later shots. Similarly, the picture his mother takes out of the folder later is not the same she is looking at when the camera angle changes. Also the way she holds it is different. (00:07:20 - 00:09:05)

Continuity mistake: The last shot of the library scene is taken from vertically above the table. In this shot the books and papers are arranged totally differently than before. (00:37:15 - 00:38:05)

Continuity mistake: When Bob Seidman comes to invite Andy to Wheeler's office the chopsticks in Andy's Chinese takeaway change from sticking out together to being separated from one shot to the next. (00:08:45)

Continuity mistake: Joe is eating something in the library before he approaches the table where Andy is sitting. When he gets up his mouth is still full to the brim, but in the next shot a second later he greets Andy and there are no traces of food left in or around his mouth. (00:34:00)

Continuity mistake: In the library scene, before Joe approaches Andy, we see him working. There's a pile of books on the table whose backs are turned away from the camera. Joe looks over to Andy who is briefly in the picture, and when the camera cuts back to Joe the pile is turned around and the backs are visible. (00:32:05)

Continuity mistake: When Andy talks to his mother on the phone about the latest news on his illness she asks him "How are your platelets?". The subtitles read "How are my platelets?". (00:07:50)

In the background we see his old friend Betsy, who, after a short close-up on Homer, appears from the left to ask him for a dance, while there are totally different people in the background. Continuity mistake: During the wake scene Homer's hair is combed flat. When he leaves the church it's standing up quite messily. (01:22:40)

Continuity mistake: When Eddie sees the Jesus impersonator for the first time in a side road she asks Homer to back up. The stretch he reverses is much shorter that what they had covered since they passed the crossing. (01:10:20)

Continuity mistake: The establishing shot of the quay scene shows a close-up of a flock of seagulls. However, as the scene goes on we don't see any birds at all even when the camera shows the whole quay, but we hear them shriek. Only during the credits there is a skipped shot of the quay where it's crowded with seagulls. (00:57:20)

Continuity mistake: When Homer drives off when they leave Summit Inn in the snow, he skids across the parking lot of the hotel, but a bit later it looks more like a frozen pond. As a pond could not be at level with the road and they didn't go down any slope this is a strange transformation. (00:40:10)

Continuity mistake: In the scene at the roadside bathroom Eddie is scared by the sound of a jet, thinking it's an earthquake. There's a very short cut to the aircraft, then back to Eddie, and all of a sudden she is not wearing her cap and hood anymore, for which there was neither a reason nor sufficient time. (00:20:15)

Continuity mistake: When Homer and Eddie have lunch on their first stop the pizza on the plate between them switches back and forth between untouched and half eaten. (00:15:15)

Continuity mistake: When Homer is packing to leave for Oregon you hear the radio blaring in the background. His shirt is still unbuttoned, but then there is a cut to him watching himself in the mirror while he tries various basball caps, with his shirt buttoned and wearing a jacket. Ths wouldn't pass as a mistake if the radio didn't suggest continiuty. (00:00:50)
