Star Trek: The Next Generation

Shades of Gray - S2-E22

Continuity mistake: Near the end, when Pulaski finally stops the infection in Riker and is just about to contact Picard with her success, look at Riker lying on the table. His eyes are open, then he closes them slowly. The next scene has Riker opening his eyes for the first time after recovering from the procedure.

Encounter at Farpoint (2) - S1-E2

Continuity mistake: The computer is directing Commander Riker toward L.C. Data in holodeck area 4-J. As he walks along the corridor the computer helps him by saying that he should go to "the next hatchway on your right." Then Riker turns left (according to the way he was going) to enter the holodeck.

Loud as a Whisper - S2-E5

Continuity mistake: Near the end of the episode, as they are preparing to beam down to the planet, Riker tells Warf to set his phaser on stun. He then holsters his own phaser and the transporter is activated. However, when they materialize on the planet, Riker is holding his phaser in his left hand.

Deja Q - S3-E13

Continuity mistake: As Q approaches Picard and Riker's position while playing a trumpet, both of Q's hands are on the horn. A second later, his left hand is down by his side. Then, after he makes cigars appear in Picard and Riker's mouths, his left hand is extended as he says the first part of his lines. A second later, both hands are on his horn.

Movie Nut

Angel One - S1-E14

Continuity mistake: When Wesley Crusher and his school chum accidentally hit Picard with a snowball from the holodeck doorway, it makes a huge wet spot on the captain's left shoulder. However, when Picard tells them "Don't let it happen again," as he turns to walk away, the wet spot is now suddenly dry. (00:36:00)

The Best of Both Worlds (2) - S4-E1

Factual error: Shelby announces the Borg have entered Sector 001, and we get an exterior shot of the Borg ship flying past Saturn. The problem is that the Borg are approaching from the side of the planet illuminated by the sun, meaning they would actually be moving AWAY from Earth rather than toward it.

Q: I have no powers! Q, the ordinary!
Picard: Q, the liar! Q, the misanthrope!

Trivia: Another joke from the set designers: whenever someone is in the Jeffries Tubes, you will see several pipes on the walls labeled "GNDN" this stands for "Goes Nowhere, Does Nothing."

Skin of Evil - S1-E23

Question: Near the end when they are in the holodeck for the memorial ceremony for Lt. Yar, Dr. Crusher's uniform is green and seconds later it is blue. After watching it several times, it does not appear to be a trick of the light. What happened here? Why would she have on a green uniform in the first place?

con8iv

Chosen answer: The uniform does indeed change colour. It may be due to the need for a green screen in part, or perhaps some lighting altering our perception. That being said, it certainly looks green at the start, blue thereafter.

The show has been done in HD now and not sure if they fix this problem.
