Turner's Island (2018)

Revealing mistake: The coroner was made to appear as though he took another bite from his donut, but when he was lowering the donut from his mouth the bite pattern on the donut had not changed. (00:03:48)

Revealing mistake: In the wide view, the tree trunk is perpendicular to the level ground while Birdy and her cousin are standing. There is no large tree to the left, just a fence-like display of shrubbery parallel to the ground running across the rear of the screen. When the camera shifts to the girls sitting next to the trunk, they are made to appear as though they are sitting on a grade (not level ground), the background shrubbery runs diagonally across the screen, and a large tree is visible to the left. The Gambler (2014)

Revealing mistake: The room Jim and Neville are in is equipped with a double interior wrought iron security gate that appears to be automated, but it does not actually function like a motion-sensored one typically would. The double doors are open before Neville's bookkeeper exits, and where Neville is standing might explain why both sides of the gate are open and stay open until the bookkeeper re-enters. However, they close behind the bookkeeper (and at different rates), even though Neville has not moved. (00:09:26)

Murder of a Cat (2014)

Revealing mistake: When the newscaster was filming Clinton giving a statement, the timer on the camera stayed at 0:00. The red "Rec" button, which supposedly was on, also looked fake. (00:10:35)

About Fate (2022)

Revealing mistake: The "snow" that Kip and his friends jumped into after leaving the bath house was obviously fake (like the "snow" on the pine trees). Beads of "snow" do not fly into the air when impacted by a weighted object, such as a body. (00:22:32)

Revealing mistake: The luminaries lining both sides of the driveway were not lit, although there were a few bags that contained a small circle of dim light that gave the impression of being lit. One of the bags was nonetheless able to catch Boyd's pants leg on fire. (00:11:42)

The Winter Palace (2022)

Revealing mistake: The chalet was visible behind Emily when she was outside talking on the phone, but subsequent views of Emily showed her in front of a solid white background (mimicking snow) - indicating the use of a green (white?) screen. (00:13:34 - 00:13:56)

Revealing mistake: From the sound made when the car hit the deer, as well as the deer's overall appearance, it was obvious the deer was fake. The fake deer's body was almost uniformly brown, but the "dead deer" on the road had a white underbody that went part way up its side and along its legs, which should have been visible on the "fake deer." (00:10:19)

Revealing mistake: When Mary is talking to Luke in the kitchen, there are "moving shadows" on the wall to the left of the screen, apparently from the camera/film crew. (00:19:40)

Revealing mistake: Most of the car scenes entailed rain on the windows even though it otherwise had not been and was not raining, indicating the scenes were filmed on a rainy day. For example: Mary driving home; picking up Todd to go to the funeral; driving home from the church; driving back from rock climbing; and, Faith's car when she got to Luke's house. Turner's Island (2018)

Revealing mistake: After Jess leaned her bicycle against the pole, it slid down onto the ground. In subsequent views of the bicycle to Jess' side, the bicycle appeared to be upright and not what would be expected if it was lying on the ground. The height of the bicycle's seat should have been closer to the chair's arm, not Jess' shoulder. At a different angle before Jess got up, the bicycle was positioned like it was right after it slid onto the ground. (01:04:02 - 01:05:47)

The Gambler (2014)

Revealing mistake: Neville pushed Jim's back against a metal garage door/gate in the alley. Front views of Jim show him with his back (and head) against the door, but rear views show him out in the open (away from the door/walls/buildings). (01:01:42)

The Gambler (2014)

Revealing mistake: The (CGI) wind turbines were awkwardly spaced and incomplete in spots. Ten or more sets of blades (center left of screen) had no towers attached to them - just blades "in the air." The blade lengths varied from tower to tower instead of being uniform and appeared to be disproportionately small relative to the tower heights. Nocelles were absent (or not visible like they should be), so there were no anemometers attached. Most towers did not appear to have a transformer at/near their base. (00:59:07)

The Gambler (2014)

Revealing mistake: When Amy was walking past the bicycle rack along the road, the background changed a few times (indicative of using a green screen) and she walked past the same bicycle rack at least two times. Sometimes, there was no bicycle rack visible, although Amy had not walked very far. (00:51:00)

The Gambler (2014)

Revealing mistake: Jim parts his hair on the left side. The stacks of his books on display in the hallway include a photo of him with his hair parted on the right side, but otherwise looking the same. Hair that is persistently parted on one side will not easily part on the other side and lay across the head in the same way. (The image was reversed). (00:25:20)

Gone in the Night (2022)

Revealing mistake: Max rolled down the front passenger side window and no wind came into the car, but when he had his face barely out the window, his hat blew off (not shown on screen). If wind hit the visor part of his "bugout" hat, the hat would have most likely blown off into the car. (00:03:40)

Revealing mistake: The views to the right and left of the truck on the road did not flow in the manner expected if they were actually there (as opposed to using a green screen). Also, as soon as a "stop" sign could be seen to the right, the camera shifted to the driver, who kept driving as though the stop sign was not there. The structures to the right of the truck were blue but became white when the camera shifted to a front view (not using a green screen). (00:01:20)

Revealing mistake: The boat's motor/engine was in the center-rear when Annie and Jodie brought it to the beach, but when Nic and the others were looking at the boat, the motor was off to the side (near the corner). The position of the motor varied, sometimes being in the corner when one of the riders would have obstructed its view. The appearance of the motor and which direction it was facing, the size of the tiller handle, and whether the water inlet port/propeller could be seen also varied. (00:48:57 - 00:49:47)

Revealing mistake: Lily was sitting in the back seat of Andrea's small sedan with her head out the window. Part of Lily's friend's upper left body could be seen to her right but the rest of her body was made to appear as though the door frame was blocking it from view. In alternate shots, the friend's upper body is side-by-side with Lily's - but no sedan has a window that wide, the door frame was not there, and the friend would not be able to sit in a back seat like she was because of the driver's seat. (00:06:43 - 00:07:06)

The Twin (2017)

Revealing mistake: One actor played the roles of the twins. At the mental hospital, there were subtle but noticeable differences between the way Derek's bangs were combed to the right (flatter with no loose ends sticking out) and he had a small section of hair raised near the back of his part. When Derek left as Tyler, he still had Tyler's more jagged bangs and no raised section of hair near the back of his part. It's against the odds that the twins would have the exact same facial hair/haircut on visiting day. (00:17:45 - 00:20:20)
