General questions
What was the title of a movie where the lead character picks up a rather nervous looking man with a duffel bag? During the conversation that follows, the nervous guy says that he's invented his million dollar idea. It's six minute abs. The lead character replies that it sounds great, but what happens to his market if someone invents five minute abs. At which point the nervous guy gets completely thrown off track. I think in the next scene they pull over and the nervous guy gets out of the car because there's a cop nearby but leaves his duffel bag.

Starship Troopers (1997)
Question: In the scene where the infantry is retreating from the first attack on the arachnid planet (the night attack) we see that Rico has been seriously wounded to his leg and cannot even stand up. He was all alone and then we see him kill the first attacking bug with a shotgun mode of the rifle, but when the second bug attacks it seems that he didn't kill the bug and it killed Rico (he screams a lot). Later on, he is in a liquid tank, and his leg is being healed. My questions are these: Who saved him ? How did someone saved him when he died, or even if he didn't die who bothered returning for him when no one was sure if he's dead or just missing in the squad being somewhere else? How come he was in a healing tank while the military filed him as "DEAD" ?
Answer: When Rico, Diz and Ace report to the Roughnecks, they find out that Lt. Rasczak saved him. He was listed as dead, because Carmen checked just hours after the battle. With the MI's huge personnel losses, all the dead and wounded hadn't been confirmed yet. He was listed as dead because he didn't return with his unit.

Men in Black II (2002)
Question: I may have just missed it, but what happened to J's female partner, the lady who worked in the morgue, from the end of the first film?
Answer: In "Men in Black: The Series" the 1997 animated series that takes place after the second movie, L is Zed's assistant and chief scientific officer.
It should be pointed out that the series had so many various changes, it shouldn't be considered part of the film's continuity or timeline. While there are some references to events in the first film, most of the characters have slightly altered appearances and Agent K was never neuralized in the series. In the series, Agent L is also a senior staff member while J seems to remain a rookie.

Question: When Paris is with Helen at Sparta, there are no tattoos on his body. However, in real life, Orlando Bloom has several tattoos on his body, including one on his left elbow. How is this trick of deleting tattoos performed?
Answer: CGI or makeup.

Question: I don't understand the end. Is Earth being controlled by Umbrella now? Are Carlos and Jill taking Alice away from the research facility for testing (on the scientists' side), or are they saving her from the facility and setting her free for another adventure?
Answer: Carlos and Jill are trying to rescue her. They are unaware that Umbrella has attempted to turn Alice into a weapon to use against them.
Answer: Of course they're there to rescue her. But they never explain the events between apocalypse and Extinction that cause them to separate and what happened to the little girl I think that's the one that irritates me the most.

Question: I noticed on Andy's final moments video on the DVD, the month on the camera goes from May(When he explains the Hollywood Squares game.) To June when he finally turns to a zombie. Was the movie supposed to take place in a month or is that just a simple mistake?
Answer: Yes, part of the point of Andy's video is to give the viewer the timespan of the film.

Stargate: Atlantis (2004)
Question: Why can't they use every last iota of energy they've got and dial earth and ask them to send them any ZPM's that they could find?
Answer: Because even all 4 Naquadah generators (one was destroyed) together is only enough to dial Earth for approximately 1.2 seconds (As seen in the episode "Letter from Pegasus"). Further, if Earth had found a ZPM, they would dial Atlantis and let them know. After all, the SGC has no other use for a ZPM than to dial Atlantis.

Answer: When Bruce IV eats Mario Van Peebles, it also eats a device that they use to give it an electric shock by remote control. This makes it leap out of the water. The last time they do this, the long pole on the boat's bow impales it.

Batman Forever (1995)
Question: What is the point of the Riddler stopping Harvey (Two-Face) from killing Bruce Wayne when they are in his mansion? They now know that Bruce Wayne is Batman and their goal all along was to kill Batman. Essentially I can understand they want to torture Bruce by kidnapping Chase, but it seems like a huge risk that they don't really need to take as Batman is very elusive and this was a prime opportunity to take him out.
Chosen answer: They are both nuts and extremely arrogant. They are also suffering from "Supervillain Syndrome" wherin the villain will toy with and never kill his nemesis even though it will get him caught/defeated in the end. It's just how comic book villains are.
Also, they specifically say they want him awake, aware and capable of suffering humiliation and shame when they destroy him. Also, since they have a hostage he values very highly, they can be reasonably sure he'll come to them afterwards, Riddler out-and-out says so.

We Were Soldiers (2002)
Question: An entry on the wearing of full combat gear and arms on the transport to 'Nam has been corrected, reason being that this is done today. This is correct, as rapid deployment in zones with little or nonexistent local military infrastructure exists requires every soldier to be operational when hitting ground. But was this the case at the time in Vietnam? Sure, this is early in the war, before a full scale upbuild but were incoming troops really transported this way, even in '65?
Chosen answer: Yes and no. This has been done on and off since the 101st Airborned dropped on D-Day. Mainly it depends on the area being travelled through and the destination.

Question: I may have missed this, but why does Frank tear the labels off bottles?
Answer: He was taking the labels off the bottles to make fake checks, using the logos as this is the one thing that he could not create on the checks. The MICR printer was only used to print the routing and account numbers and the emboss the checks.
Answer: He does it so he will have things in his wallet. As he has no identity of his own and steals or creates others, filling his wallet with labels is fulfilling a subconscious desire to be normal and have an identity.

Carrie (1976)
Question: Why does Carrie stand in front of her mirror and use her powers to break it? I just don't understand why she does this. Does she intentionally break the mirror?
Chosen answer: She believes that she is ugly and unwanted. So her power subconsciously acts accordingly so she won't have to look at herself.
