Deliberate mistake: The floating contact mine that explodes at the end of the movie would never have been put in an evidence room in a police station. Barring that error for the plot's sake, FCMs weigh 450lbs and would have required a hydraulic crane and a cart to move it, not just a couple of guys. They also did not contain clocks. (00:42:40)
Hot Fuzz (2007)
1 deliberate mistake
Directed by: Edgar Wright
Starring: Bill Nighy, Jim Broadbent, Simon Pegg, Martin Freeman, Timothy Dalton, Paddy Considine, Nick Frost, Bill Bailey, Rafe Spall
Continuity mistake: Nick's character is eating an ice cream in the police car and eats the whole thing. When the shot changes to Simon's side, he's still got about half of it left.
Nicholas Angel: Mr. Porter, what's your wine selection?
Roy Porter: Oh, we've got red... And, er... White?
Nicholas Angel: I'll have a pint of lager, please.
Trivia: In the scene at the supermarket, Danny is looking at a selection of DVDs, but when he puts it down to chase the thief, in the bin you can see the DVD named "Zombies Party" which is the Spanish version of Shaun of the Dead.
Question: In total how many references were there to Shaun of the Dead and where can I find them?

Answer: Just before "Auntie Jackie's sisters' brothers' boy' legs it, Danny is looking at the DVDs in the supermarket and there's a copy of Shaun of the Dead in the bargain bin...albeit the Spanish version! Only £4.99! It was released as "Zombie Party" in Spain but has the same front cover as UK release.
