Continuity mistake: The man picks up his duffel bag and swings it over his shoulder, but does not use its strap. He runs through the woods, and the strap is over his shoulder. Just before he runs onto the beach, he swings his bag over his shoulder, as if he does not use the shoulder strap in the woods. (00:01:40)
Continuity mistake: Harry sets his pen off the left side of his notepad and has both of his hands to the right of it, but the pen is on top of the notepad when the camera shifts. (00:06:40)
Continuity mistake: During the "Good Afternoon" number, Ferrell and Reynolds are standing in front of horses. They're fairly close to the two. The scene changes and the horses are further away.
Revealing mistake: The rhino that killed (or "erased") Paul was obviously CGI and quite fake-looking, especially the way it was running. (01:32:50)
Factual error: The tank used by the German platoon is a Soviet T54/55, which didn't come into service until 1948, after the Lapland War had ended.
Continuity mistake: The top of Brecken's head was close to (within a few inches of) the headboard before his mother brought the pillow. When his mother put the pillow over his face and the camera shifted to a right-side rear view, the upper part of the bed was raised about 45°. When Lang Dotrice (Brecken's father) arrived and sat on his bed, the pillow used to smother Brecken was at least a foot away from the headboard and Brecken's head (still under the pillow) was about a yard away from the headboard. Other mistake: The crate, which had gaps between the boards, was buried about 8-10' deep, but it was free of dirt when it was being hoisted out of the hole. (01:14:25)
Other mistake: James told Det Vargas he left the bar "2:30, give or take" and Vargas responded, "bar closes at 2:30 [AM]." When Star approached James at the bar, she said, "When I see a guy alone at the bar at three in the morning..." It is questionable if Detective Vargas was correct about the closing time. Traditionally, bars in L.A. closed at 2:00 AM. CA's Business and Professional Code on serving alcoholic beverages apparently now allows serving alcohol until 3:00 (not 2:30) AM - was this in effect? Plot hole: Mike carried Sophie into the hospital and walked through the halls yelling, "I need a doctor" until he ran into Sophie's Dr. Thomas. Sophie was put on a cot and rolled into a room where Dr. Thomas immediately began examining her. Mike completely by-passed registration, triage, etc, which wouldn't be tolerated at an emergency room. Emergency rooms are highly likely/almost always back-logged with patients, many with urgent conditions yet still might wait hours to be seen by a doctor or nurse. (00:06:45 - 00:07:20)
Revealing mistake: A white truck could be seen in Tamra's rear window, following her car at varying distances. After Tamra hit Randall on his bike, the white truck was still there but gone when the camera returned to a front view of Tamra. Use of a green screen - the truck could not have gone past the accident or "disappeared." (00:03:35 - 00:04:10)
Other mistake: At the end the camera bulbs would not work as they are electric. This is proven when the music starts after the creature leaves the area. (02:01:00)
Continuity mistake: As the SUV pulls off alongside the curb, there are trees with orange-coloured leaves on both sides, but the leaves are green when the ladies are talking in the stopped SUV. The leaves from the tree that is about 15' from the curb are right outside the passenger-side windows. (00:10:15)
Factual error: While playing soccer in the background, Ali's "credentials" were displayed across the screen. Under "Academics", Ali is listed as "MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY" - but "Honors" should be singular ("Honor"). It is also odd to state "All 'A' honor roll." With a GPA of 4.3, something to the effect of "Highest Honors with Distinction" would be more likely. [It is possible to receive a "B" in an Advanced Placement course yet have a GPA above 4.0.]. Continuity mistake: When the roasted marshmallow landed on the back of the camper's head, it was relatively flat and spanned from the middle top to the right top/side with some charred marshmallow splattered almost to the center of the man's head. After a camera shift, the marshmallow was sticking up near the right top of the man's head, was shaped like a whole marshmallow, and was still largely white instead of mostly black/charred. Continuity mistake: There isn't a white notepad on top of the smaller green present (with the gold present missing), but there is when Ben pulls Jason's notepad out of the storage compartment. Even though Ben is facing Sam and has Jason's notepad in his hands, the white notepad behind him is angled differently at least twice. (00:17:15 - 00:17:37)
Continuity mistake: During their first encounter (the first we see in the movie, at least), Sheila sits next to Gary, and they both order Old Fashioned. Phil the Bartender makes a comment on that, and she shoos him off. Look at Kaley Cuoco 's bag; one of the straps keeps going on/off the top of the bag between shots. (00:03:30)
Continuity mistake: When The Artist is talking on the phone to Detective Mary Kelly, sometimes his long, wavy hair behind the phone is flat and other times fluffy (extending wider than the phone). (00:14:45)
Character mistake: We see the lead driving on the motorway to get to the cottage. She leaves at junction 6 for Princes Risborough. Which means she is on the M40 that goes to Birmingham. When she arrives the host asks about the drive down and mentions the M4. This is a different road entirely, that goes to Swansea.
Continuity mistake: Angel had her hands very close to (almost touching) the towel, but when the camera shifted to a front view of her, the towel was a couple feet away from her hands. Also, the peppers that were to the right of her hands were suddenly in front of them (moved with the celery to her left). (02:00:00)
Continuity mistake: Gilbert/Robert was wearing a red pocket square (left lapel) when he was in the phone booth, but not when he came out of the hotel. (00:03:38 - 00:04:36)
