Mara turns around and tries to power her way out of the predicament; in the background, the girl with the bright red dress has her arm across her waist, but at the cut she has both arms behind her back. Continuity mistake: At the beginning of the movie, the first thug is trying to convince Brennan to handle the gun. He repeatedly uses the trigger to show him that the gun is harmless; in the next shot the weapon mid-sentence is already turned around the other way, held out for Brennan. (00:01:15)
Other mistake: In the break-in lab scene where the characters attempt to film their second resurrection, Zoe has her right hand on the electrical circuit breaker. After she throws the breaker and is electrocuted, Frank after unsuccessfully trying to revive her removes her wedding band, which shows clear burn marks on her ring finger of her left hand. Revealing mistake: When Verdean is scrolling the Wikipedia page for the Israeli wrestler "Johnny Jerusalem", the page itself is a well thought out fake one (the wrestler in question is non-existent), but the prop person who made this fake did not bother going all the way through editing the wording of the footnotes ("References" paragraph), that display instead the name of the real wiki page they edited as foundation. The webpage is an edit of the real Wikipedia page of The French Angel, the real life pro-wrestler who was also rumored to be an inspiration for the look of cartoon orc Shrek. All the names and dates have been slightly altered ("Paul Blowzier in New York" instead of Paul Bowser in Boston, "Carl Pohiello" instead of Karl Pojello, etc). (00:37:20)
Continuity mistake: As Jake and Olivia steal a car while their enemies are shooting at them, we see a rear-view mirror. A few seconds later, Jake turns to check if they are followed, and the mirror has vanished. As they reach the safe house the mirror is back. (00:19:55 - 00:21:30)
Continuity mistake: When Carlos goes back to Lacey's home, when she opens the front door she is wearing a long beige cardigan and a green coat. In the next shot where she hugs Carlos she is no longer wearing the coat. (01:47:45)
Continuity mistake: In the opening scene, the two friends discuss about the pool and various fluids including the pleasant effects of the waterjets on their ladyparts. During these amenities, the sleeve of the bathing robe on the bench switches position back and forth between two positions (showing the stripe or not). (00:03:00)
Continuity mistake: The first time we see Roland on his own at the bar, he's talking with the bartender, Michel. When he asks Roland in French where his wife is, Niels Arestrup's arm changes position instantaneously in an edit mid-sentence, and does the same a couple more times after. (00:11:30)
Factual error: Set in San Francisco, the main female character keeps referring to herself (and so do others addressing her) as "Detective Maggie Price." San Francisco is the one place in the US where the correct designation for a detective is "inspector."
Factual error: In the fighting scene in U-Bahnhof Alexanderplatz the underground trains move much faster than in real world. Alexanderplatz is a railhead station. The trains would either crash into a wall or would not have enough room to accelerate that fast.
Factual error: The producers took a lot of pride in using period-accurate furniture and clothing. But the family's house and furniture aren't remotely accurate for their actual situation. The table, the chairs, the house with a sleeping loft - all those took technology and manpower that they didn't have, and we've already seen that they had nothing to trade either. And they have more furniture than could have fit in that wagon.
Factual error: A band poster for the Polish blackened death metal band Behemoth is shown while Bruce drives around the town, however the poster features the band as they are in 2015 while the film is set in 1990.
Other mistake: The town is Mt Barker. The red and blue ribbons on the sheep pen say Mt Baker.
Continuity mistake: As Kevin tells his dad during dinner that he dropped out from computer engineering class and is taking up boxing, John Corbett is listening with his hands on his chest, but the fingers are positioned differently between shots. (00:36:15)
Revealing mistake: Lucas Miller's card (what they use to mark him as suspect on their board) contains just a bunch of filler text, like "ipsum dolor tenderloin" "tempor t-bone lorem" in a daring fusion of random Latin words and cuts of meat. (01:08:30)
Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, Jason Sudeikis pops out of a door wearing a Jurassic 5 T-shirt. Problem is, the artwork on it is from the cover of Feedback, their 2006 album. The scene, as the introductory caption says, is supposed to happen in 2002. (00:00:55)
Visible crew/equipment: When Davis comes out from the train with the headphones on in the subway just before starting to dance, a cameraman filming the scene can be briefly seen reflected on the train door's glass. (01:08:00)
Continuity mistake: In the locker room scene after Tony injures his knee, Tony walks outside the room crying and he then throws his helmet against a wall, causing the chin strap to fall off onto the floor in front of the the doors. When the coach walks in through the door, the chin strap has disappeared. When the coach and Tony hug, look just behind the coach's right arm. You can see a quick glimpse of the chin strap back on the floor where it was before.
Factual error: In the end credits, when the listing of songs used in the film is rolling, the Kiss song is listed as "Detroit City Rock." Actually, the song title is "Detroit Rock City." (01:38:10)
Other mistake: The day before the business trip, Vince Vaughn enters his son's room. They have an awkward chat about masturbation and when he leaves, his son checks out of the bad things that bullies with even worse photoshop skills post on Facebook.
