Continuity mistake: In the scene where Ethan Hawke is talking through the safety glass in the barricade to the polite leader of the gang outside, the leader shoots the loud-mouth guy standing to the right of him, using the pistol in his left hand across his chest. Immediately after that they show a top shot of him dropping his right hand holding the gun. (00:46:00)
Continuity mistake: When Captain Phillips is telling members of the Navy that he is in Seat 15, a Naval CPO writes the words "Seat 15" below "Captain Phillips" on the board. A scene or two later, the words "Seat 15" are to the right of "CAPT PHILLIPS." Also, "Captain Phillips" is now "CAPT PHILLIPS." (01:28:05 - 01:49:45)
Continuity mistake: In the field chase scene, the Camaro's driver side mirror is ripped off when the Corvette rams it sideways. It remains off for several shots, then it returns by scene end and stays on through the movie's end. (01:20:10)
Continuity mistake: When Tony is in his garage injecting his arm, his chest piece is glowing brightly through his shirt, however, the very next shot when he is wiping his arm with the alcohol pad, his chest piece is suddenly turned off. (00:05:15)
Continuity mistake: In the scene where Thor tells Jane to hold on, she's on Thor's right side and Mjölnir (the hammer) is in his left hand. As they are traveling through the Bifröst to Asgard, the position of each has changed. (00:28:20)
Continuity mistake: Effie motions Katniss down the steps of her house and her arms are outspread. Camera cuts to a view in front of Katniss and Effie now has her hands on Katniss' back. (00:12:20)
Continuity mistake: Radha Mitchell is giving a press release at the beginning of the movie. There are many microphones in front of her in rows. In the front row, from her left, are orange, black and blue microphones. In one shot from the front, another black microphone appears next to the blue one. (00:03:35)
Continuity mistake: Towards the end, right after Mia crawls through the tunnel and into the shed, she backs up against some shelves. There is a lot of blood on her face and her hair is hanging over her face. The shot changes to a close-up and her face now has much less blood on it and the hair that was hanging in her face is gone. Continuity mistake: Our group of jewelry thieves are on their way to "Zugarramurdi" in a stolen taxicab. The "green soldier" Antonio began to wash the color from his face. Nevertheless you can see, depending on the camera angle, that the green color is sometimes seen on his nasal bone and sometimes not. (00:20:55 - 00:21:30)
Continuity mistake: When Admiral Marcus' ship appears in front of the Enterprise after coming out of warp, a set of panels begins to close over the main deflector dish. In the next shot, when looking out of the Enterprise's viewscreen, the deflector dish is fully visible again. (01:13:05)
Suggested correction: This detail was intentional. As a purely military-minded ship, the Vengeance was built with many different defense mechanisms, including the ability to protect its deflector dish by opening and closing a pair of panels. It simply closed them for protection, then opened them again when the deflector dish was needed or the Enterprise was no longer deemed a threat.
The problem is that the doors are shown closing, and then in a split second, when seen from the perspective of the Enterprise, they are still open.
Continuity mistake: When we first see Conti, there is a shot of a man shaving and the blade is up past his ear. As the shot changes, the blade is now under his ear. (00:06:00)
Continuity mistake: After Jordan and Naomi make love for the last time, his pants suddenly appear on him when he's about to leave the bed. (02:40:20)
Continuity mistake: After Oz tells Finley he'll get a nice big pile of bananas, Finley tosses down Oz's bag and goes on a rant about monkey stereotypes. When he first throws down the bag, he is close to the middle of the yellow brick road. It cuts to a close up and he is suddenly standing right next to the edge of the road. (00:46:25)
Continuity mistake: During Brian's jump over the bridge debris, the Ford leans forward pretty far and is still rolling forward by the time the shot cuts. When he touches down, the angle of the car is a lot less steep. (01:28:00)
Continuity mistake: When the two criminals seen at the beginning kill the drug dealer, he is initially still sporting his sunglasses, rolled at the back of his neck. When they drive away, the shades somehow ended up in a totally different spot around his midsection. (00:03:55)
Continuity mistake: When John and Emily are in the car at the start, the way John holds the envelope changes between shots. Note the flap. (00:11:20)
Continuity mistake: Joe is looking through his yearbook while Marie chats with the old headmistress. He finds the page with Adrian's photo. At first, the name under the photo is Adrian Pryce. In the closeup shot, it now reads Adrian Doyle Pryce. (01:12:20)
