The Firm picture

Corrected entry: When Mitch and Tammy are in the diner (trying to be inconspicuous about talking to each other), Tammy is describing to Mitch the men who shot Eddie. How can this be? She never saw them because she was under the desk. There is no way she could know that one had white hair and blue eyes.

Correction: Tammy was under the desk, yes, but we see her move back toward the side where the "cannon" was, and easily indicates she could or did look through the peephole left by the bullets and DID see both men! Her movement is purposeful enough to make this neither a plot hole nor continuity error.

Rookie of the Year picture

Corrected entry: Henry became a professional athlete when he signed with the Chicago Cubs. After his career with the Cubs was over, he would not been allowed to play little league baseball again. He had lost his amateur status and would be considered a professional athlete.

luchador

Correction: 2 problems with that: 1)Henry is a child. As such the league very likely would make an allowance in his contract for this. 2) The medical condition that allowed Henry to play professionally had been undone, which would clearly prevent him from playing at a professional level, at least for several years.

House of Cards picture

Corrected entry: The moon is shown several times over a period of a number of days, but it's always shown as the same shaped crescent.

Krista

Correction: The moon is, in fact, not always a crescent. It is shown as crescent to depict the imagination of Sarah, and ultimately her mother. In the scene when the tower is completed, for instance, the moon is, in reality, a full moon, and is shown as such several times. The film alternates between crescent and full in this scene to switch back and forth between the shared imaginary moon, which is crescent, and the real moon, which is full. The next morning, the crescent moon is shown as becoming full.

Return of the Living Dead 3 picture

Corrected entry: When the zombie kills the guard in the hallway, you can see a large chunk of 'bloody flesh' in the zombies mouth it chewed from the guards head. If you freeze frame or slow-mo you can see the guard has some blood on him but is not missing any flesh.

Correction: As with all similar entries, according to site rules, if it requires slo-mo or freeze frame to visible, it doesn't count as a mistake.

So I Married an Axe Murderer picture

Corrected entry: Harriet is supposedly handcuffed in the final scenes as she watches her sister Rose being rescued from the roof. When she holds her hands up in relief, only her right hand is cuffed. The left cuff and chain are missing.

Correction: At 1:26:52 it appears cop Tony quickly releases her cuffs to at least let Harriet bring her arms forward, but doesn't want to take the time to completely remove the cuffs.

Addams Family Values picture

Corrected entry: In the close-up shot where Wednesday twists off the doll's head, that is Morticia's hands doing the twisting.

Correction: It is Wednesday twisting off the head of the doll. She wears red nail polish like her mother, but her fingernails are short.

Malice picture

Corrected entry: Andy (Bill Pullman) is at his desk working late when the bulb in his desk lamp goes out. He calls to his secretary, who's just left, then goes down to the basement for a new light bulb. He picks it up, then sees a light from a room across the hall. He puts the bulb down, then goes to check out the lighted room. He finds that someone's been staying in there. Suddenly, the janitor appears behind him and they have a conversation. Andy leaves the room to head back upstairs when the janitor appears behind him and attacks him. During their struggle, the scene flashes from the fight to the light bulb dropping and shattering on the ground...BUT he put the light bulb down before visiting the room AND was never shown returning to the shelf to pick it up, so he wouldn't have had it during the fight.

Correction: Andy picks up the light bulb from the shelf and he puts the wrapper (not the bulb) on the shelf. He carries the bulb to the janitor's bedside table where he puts it down, but he picked it up again after the janitor surprises him. Then, as Andy walks away, the janitor attacks him and Andy drops the bulb where it shatters on the hard floor.

Correction: The director gives us one shot of them putting on face paint, but over time it will wear off with sweat, and need to be applied again. It could just be the face paint wearing off, and being re-applied a few times. There would be no need for us to watch them put on face paint more than once.

Gettysburg picture

Corrected entry: In the Civil War cannon shells that exploded on impact were not used. The cannon shells at Gettysburg had timed fuses so that the shells would explode in the air casting shrapnel downward to cause casualties. If a shell landed before exploding, it would just bury itself in the ground and scatter dirt harmlessly when exploding. In the movie, the cannon shots all explode when hitting the ground, not in the air, and are obviously preset charges. By the way, this is why the Confederates overshot the Union forces at Gettysburg. Their main supplier had burned down just prior to the battle and they were forced to use fuses from another source. The Confederates did not yet realize that these fuses burned slower than their previous ones so the shell would travel further before exploding.

Correction: This is untrue. 'Percussion' shells were used during the Civil War which would mean that shells would explode on impact.

The Sandlot picture

Corrected entry: Towards the end of the movie when Benny is playing ball with his teammates, he hits the ball out to the field. Timmy uses his left hand to catch the ball, but in the next scene you see Timmy using his right hand to catch.

Correction: He's ambidextrous. It's not a mistake to be able to use both hands like that.

Groundhog Day picture

Corrected entry: Right after the scene where Bill Murray gets hit in the head with the shovel while talking on the phone, there is a shot outside the bar where Bill is inside drinking and it is night time. In the scene following, Bill is taking a shower for the first time. While Bill is in the cold shower, it is day time outside of the window but it should be night time because he hasn't woken up a 2nd time yet.

Correction: Just because they don't show him waking up doesn't mean he didn't. The movie shows plenty of days that were repeated and we don't see everything that he did each time.

In the Line of Fire picture

Corrected entry: When John Malkovich and Clint Eastwood are in the elevator after the attempt on the President, Malkovich busts out the elevator lights so the sharpshooters can't see them. If you put it on Slow Motion, you can see that each light turns off just before he smashes them.

Correction: Refer to rules of site. If you have to use slow-motion to reveal this mistake, then it is not a mistake.

Blood In, Blood Out picture

Corrected entry: in the scene when Montana is talking to Milko about how his daughter is 14 years old and he has never met her, Milko says something like "That ain't right". Then Montana says "no it's not but it's that way for too many of us." However, when he says, "no it's not", his mouth doesn't move.

Correction: It is possible to say "no it's not" without moving your lips.

Three Musketeers picture

Corrected entry: When the Musketeers appear to save D'Artagnan from execution, Porthos says "this axe was a gift to me from the Tzarina of Tokyo." Although this lie is a reference to an earlier outrageous claim that he'd made at their first meeting, it would be impossible for him to make it, since Edo was only renamed Tokyo in 1868, and the film takes place some two hundred years before. (00:38:50)

Correction: In historical epics, they use modern place names for the audience's sake, unless it comes directly into the story.

The Real McCoy picture

Corrected entry: Kim Basinger walks into the bank to check it out, and comes back out wearing a hat (issued by the bank, I guess). It wasn't there before.

Correction: Karen (Kim Basinger) is wearing a black headband when she enters the bank and throughout the interior shots. When she exits the bank, she is wearing a black head scarf with red polka dots, which can be seen in close up when she is in the car with Jack (Terence Stamp).

Beverly Hillbillies picture

Corrected entry: At the beginning of the film, the Clampetts received $1 billion after they strike oil. During the course of the film, they own a mansion, cars, new furniture and clothes etc etc. Then at the end, Woodrow Tyler is attempting to transfer all their money which is stated as ONE BILLION DOLLARS. So did they get everything free or something?

Gavin Jackson

Correction: The money would have been invested. Interest, dividends, and capital gains on that type of money could have easily paid for everything they bought.

Grumpy Old Men picture

Corrected entry: The morning after John and Ariel make love, he goes down to the kitchen to make himself breakfast. He grabs one egg out of the fridge three different times, but in the subsequent shot we see him cooking only two eggs. What happened to the third egg?

Correction: There is no third egg. John opens the refrigerator, grabs two eggs with his right hand which he tosses into the air and catches with his left hand. He does reach into the refrigerator once again, but not to grab another egg. It looks as though he quickly flips down an inner refrigerator compartment door or something. (The eggs could have been in a separate compartment.) He then shuffle-dances to the counter, and grabs a pan. When he turns, you see two eggs in his left hand, and the pan in his right.

The Nightmare Before Christmas picture

Corrected entry: During the song "This is Halloween" at the beginning, when the bats fly in front of the moon, the strings that they are attached to are visible.

Correction: You can also see the stick to make Jack's dog levitate. That's entirely intentional, and thus not a goof.
