The Blair Witch Project

Chosen answer: During the beginning interviews with the townspeople, the one guy tells how the killer, Parr, would make his victims stand in the corner as he killed the other kids. He didn't like the way they would look at him, so he made them stand in the corner.

Question: At the end when the girl 'dies' you can see someone in the corner. Who is it?

Answer: It is Mike. If you remember from earlier in the movie it was said that one person was made to stand in the corner while the other person was killed.

Question: Why is it that we never see the Blair Witch? Also the cover is very convincing that this is a true story. Is it?

Answer: The Blair Witch does not exist. The reason you didn't see is it is an abstract concept. What you can't see is scarier because you make her up in your own mind. It is a complete hoax of a story. The three actors have been doing many other acting jobs since, especially Heather and Josh.

Question: Who made the handprints on the inside of that old house at the end?

Socks1000

Chosen answer: Presumably it was the children being held there.

Question: Is there ever indication as to how and why the three filmmakers are killed?

MovieBuff09

Chosen answer: It is implied that Josh is murdered by someone (or thing) in the woods, and since the legend says that one child would face into the corner while the other was killed, we can assume that is how Heather met her end, and finally, since the child looking into the corner was killed afterwards, we can assume that is how Mike was killed.

Answer: Bludgeoned to death with a heavy object or strangled. Because they were trespassing.

Question: At the end of the movie, when you see Mike in the corner, as Heather gets knocked down, the camera starts to go blurry. During the last few seconds, it almost looks as though there is another person, laying in front of the camera. Is this Josh, or is it just the film being affected by the light/blur?

Answer: Yes, that is Josh after he has been killed, he fell to the ground, slumped in front of Heather.

Question: How did anyone find the cameras and the films? Surely if anyone else had gone into the woods, the same would have happened to them. So can anyone please explain?

Answer: The in-universe explanation is that a student anthropology team from a nearby university was performing an examination at the house foundation. A section of stone wall collapsed revealing a pit of ash, timber and soil. When the students dug through the soil, they found a duffel bag full of tapes and reels. That was a year after the three students disappeared.

Factual error: In the beginning of the movie when they are in the hotel room they are drinking Killian's beer. However, the label on the Killian's bottle was a new style label. When the movie was supposedly shot the Killlian's would have had the old style label.
