Bambi

Trivia: Some scenes of the woodland creatures and forest fire were actually unused footage from the 1940 Disney movie "Pinocchio."

Trivia: When the wildlife of the forest celebrate the start of a new spring season at the start of the film, a bird feeds her three baby birds a small group of berries that resembles a "Hidden Mickey."

Trivia: There are only 1000 words of dialogue in the entire film.

Trivia: Reportedly, the number of deer that were hunted in the US fell by nearly 50% for several years after the film's release. This has sometimes been attributed to the film anthropomorphizing deer and making them more relatable. The film is also known for helping coin the term "The Bambi Effect," in which people are somewhat less likely to hunt or kill animals that are as cute.

Trivia: The voice actor for young Bambi, Donnie Dunagan, actually grew up as a Marine and even reached the rank of General. He stated in an interview that he had to hide the fact that he was the voice of Bambi while in the Marines to keep any respect, and did so until about 2 months before retirement.

Quantom X

Trivia: The first full-length Disney animated feature film to have no human characters shown on screen.

Trivia: This was the last Disney animated film for eight years. This was because many of the animators were in the military during the Second World War.

Other mistake: After the great fire scene there is a raccoon that drags her baby to shore and begins cleaning it. A few seconds later the baby has jumped across to the other side of his father and siblings, but the mother does not stop licking. This error has since been fixed in newer releases.

Question: Is it true that Disney made this movie as a way to protest guns and/or hunting?

Answer: No. As with most Disney films, it's based on a book, in this case a 1923 Austrian book entitled Bambi: A Life in the Woods. There's no evidence that the book was chosen for any more than the quality of the story.
