Season 5 generally

Continuity mistake: In series five all the characters that were in the third year in series three and four, are now in the fifth year, missing their fourth year, and all the characters that were first years in series three and four are now in their third year, missing their second year.

Season 12 generally

Plot hole: When Danny Kendall first appears in series 9 (1986) he is in the third year, then the fourth year in series 10 (1987) but in series 11 (1988) he is put down a year to help him catch up with work he missed as he was in hospital for most of his fourth year. But in series 12 (1989) he is in the fifth year when he would be aged sixteen going on seventeen and he would not be legally obliged to stay on at school, as sixteen was the legal school leaving age then. When Danny died in series 12 the school planted a tree in his memory with a plaque in front of it giving his birth date as 8th January 1973 and death date as 22nd January 1989. His birth date should have been 8th January 1972, as he would have been seventeen years old when he died.

Episode #12.13 - S12-E13

Continuity mistake: After Mr. McKenzie and the coach driver have loaded the coach boot Mac calls the driver Neil, but when they reach the ferry terminal the same coach driver's name is Tom.

Episode #9.24 - S9-E24

Continuity mistake: When the fun run starts, Mr. McKenzie and Mrs. McCluskey do the introduction. Some of the kids in the grandstand when Mr. McKenzie is talking can also be seen standing on the track when Mrs. McClusky is on the mike. When they all stand up when the race starts, the kids have changed position in the stands, most noticeable are the boy in the blue and red jacket and the girl with short brown curly hair in the grey jumper.

Episode #7.18 - S7-E18

Revealing mistake: At the end when the credits are rolling, Spandau ballet's song "true" is heard playing, but if you look at the disco unit the turntable is revolving, but the arm is not on the record.

Episode #4.6 - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: When Booga Benson attacks Tucker on the stairs, Booga grabs Tucker's hair with his left hand, but the next shot shows him with his hand on Tucker's jacket.

Episode #4.6 - S4-E6

Continuity mistake: When Mr Thomson comes into the hall to tell Mr Sutcliffe that the dance is cancelled, Mr Thomson puts his hands behind his back twice between shots.

Episode #2.8 - S2-E8

Continuity mistake: When Mr. Mitchell is comforting Cathy after the police have arrested the man who was following her, a row of parked cars that were parked behind them have disappeared.

Episode #1.3 - S1-E3

Continuity mistake: When Judy is walking past the shops, parked behind her is a pick up truck full of junk. In front of it is a grey Triumph 2000 estate and a white Citroen, but seconds later when Judy is ambushed by Jackie Heron's gang, the triumph and Citroen have gone, and there are milk floats parked in front of and behind the pick up truck.

Arrival - S5-E1

Continuity mistake: When Mr Baxter catches Roland eating his crisps in the bike shed, Roland initially has his left hand on his leg, but the next shot shows him with his hand in the bag of crisps.

Episode #4.13 - S4-E13

Visible crew/equipment: When Tommy, Alan, Justin and Tucker are pushing Andrew through the corridors on the barrow, the lighting rig is reflected in the windows of the fire doors.

Episode #4.12 - S4-E12

Continuity mistake: When the pupils are boarding the coach the weather is dry and sunny, but as soon as the coach drives off the ground is wet and the weather dull.

Episode #9.11 - S9-E11

Imelda: I'm gonna get my dad down here to sort you out.
Mr Baxter: You do that, get your whole family down here, I expect they'll be glad to hear you've been nicking money off first year students. You get them all down here, tell them to wear a funny hat and we'll have a party.
