Question: Why did Lureen lie to Ennis about how Jack died?

Answer: Lureen may have been lied to about how Jack died. As a kid, Ennis had seen the body of a man that was killed for being gay. Knowing that Jack was 'seeing' other men, Ennis knew that he must have been killed for that reason instead of the way that Lureen explained it. Even if she did know the truth, she may have lied to him because she didn't want Ennis to know how Jack really died.

Question: When Tess (pretending to be Julia Roberts) sees Bruce Willis in the suite, he asks, "Where's Danny?" and she replies that he's working. How does Bruce Willis know about Danny Ocean? Is there a different Danny connected to Julia Roberts in real life?

Answer: Bruce isn't asking about Danny Ocean, he's asking about Julia's real life husband, Danny Moder.

Collateral (2004)

Question: About how long would Annie's cab ride in the beginning of the movie have taken in real time?

Answer: From LAX to Downtown, about 40 minutes to an hour. Depending on the traffic getting out of the airport and heading to downtown.

Living in LA all my life, I can tell you the drive can be made in 20 minutes, without speeding. This is of course given light traffic conditions, which seems to be the case in the movie. Heavy traffic will add time of course, I'd say 45-50 mins at the most. (A quick Google Maps search just put the drive at 22 mins).

Question: About "the gimp" in Maynard's store. Who/what was it exactly? And why was he sleeping inside a box?

Chosen answer: We're never told and it's never explained who he is. Zed and the other guy in the pawn shop make him sleep in the box. He's their sex prisoner.

Question: Upon first meeting each other, Veruca says "Let's be friends", and Violet replies "best friends". I get a strange feeling this is a reference to something. Is it, and if so, what?

Answer: They're there to compete, but are pretending to really like each other. It's not a reference to anything specific.

Answer: There is a scene in E.T. where a young boy pulls a girl in and kisses her. The movie being imitated is 'The Quiet Man' with John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara.

Question: I only just saw the episode where Sydney finally kills Allison (Francie's clone), and wakes up two years later in Hong Kong. Answer: His company News Corporation owns Fox and its subsidaries, which is the network that runs The Simpsons in the states, and was once the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team.
