Other mistake: After Roy and Johnny leave Wild Bill's apartment because he faked his injury, there's an overhead exterior shot of what is supposed to be Rampart, but it's not actually Rampart. Throughout the entire run of this series there are numerous exterior shots of Rampart from every angle.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After Early carries Martha into treatment 3, and he and Brackett begin examining her, there's a nice exterior shot of what is supposed to be Rampart, only it's not actually Rampart, and we know this since throughout the show's run there are numerous exterior shots of Rampart from every angle.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After Chet's practical joke on Karen, she's quite ticked off, and Roy and Johnny are a bit uncomfortable, and then when Station 51 is dispatched to the unknown type rescue they all head to the apparatus bay. In the next shot when Karen, Roy, and Johnny get into the squad just watch all the actors' faces. First Johnny cracks up, then Roy and Karen, who even put their heads down to hide their laughter, particularly Roy who ducks his head behind the steering wheel. Fun to watch.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to "possible heart attack" the address is "91st and Formosa" (the 'Black Tower' can be see behind the Chevron sign when the squad rolls up), and later when they're dispatched to "person caught in mailbox" the address is "Beverly Blvd and Main." What's funny is that the two incident scenes are filmed at the same corner of the intersection, with Universal's 'Black Tower' nearby. Have a look.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the squad and engine roll up on the scene of the bulldozer accident in the junkyard, just as the guy runs up to inform them about the victims, have a look at Squad 51's license plate number because it is not the normal prop plate number E999007.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: Just as Squad 51 reaches the Tank Motorway, in the shot of the squad as it drives towards the camera before it zooms out, look at the squad's license plate before it stops. Even through the haze, we can see that the plate number is not Squad 51's normal E999007.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Roy and John are examining the boy who jumped from the ledge, they're standing at the back of Engine 85 while the boy's sitting on the tailboard, and we can see behind his head the vinyl material with the imprinted 85, covering the attached plate with the real company number.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: After the explosion occurs in Rampart's basement, when Engines 236 and 73 roll up on scene, we can see the engine companies' numbers are covered up atop their cabs, presumably to conceal the engine companies' real numbers.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: Over the phone the bookie tells Sidney, "I'm having them pains again. I don't feel so good. Would you call some...," then collapses onto the floor. Then Station 51 is dispatched to "Possible heart attack," and the address is given, along with the apartment number 23. After 51 breaks into the bookie's apartment, soon one of the phones ring and Captain Stanley says, "Let me get this straight. Your name's Sidney, and you phoned in the heart attack, right? Now we're getting somewhere. How come you didn't have the address? What's your last name Sidney?" However, 51 was dispatched to the proper address and even the apartment number. Nobody else knew of the heart attack, and the victim did not phone it in.

Loose Ends - S6-E12
Other mistake: While Brackett is a patient at Rampart, he phones to inquire about Tina, and when he rips off his hospital ID bracelet we can see the wood grain bathroom door as he heads for Tina's room. When he's in Tina's room, the wood grain bathroom door in her room is identical to the door in Brackett's room, revealing the same room is used for both patients.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the woman from the car accident is in the ER, Morton uses the laryngoscope to intubate her, and hooks her up to the respirator, but then she goes into V-fib, and when the defibrillation and epinephrin are unsuccessful and she flatlines, even if the respirator hose came loose she would still have the intubation tube in her mouth, but she doesn't.

Paper Work - S6-E11
Other mistake: After 51 rescues the boy who was stuck in the storm drain and is brought to the ER, Brackett uses the laryngoscope for endotracheal intubation, but the problem is we can see when Brackett cups his left hand, he merely places the distal end of the laryngoscope over the top of his hand, not actually down into the boy's mouth.

Paper Work - S6-E11
Other mistake: When the foreman and secretary are rescued at the warehouse fire, two shots after we see the foreman climbing down the ladder, there's a shot of the grey steel drums marked 'acetone' with two lying on their sides on a wood pallet, while the guys hose down the fire. What's funny is that in the next shot there's a disposable plastic cup that has suddenly appeared on that pallet. Obviously while shooting the different takes one of the actors or crew members left their cup on the pallet before they resumed filming.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Station 51 is dispatched to the "freeway accident," as the engine and squad roll out of the apparatus bay, we can see the real 127's vehicle still parked in the bay, near the rear door.

Fair Fight - S6-E5
Other mistake: Squad 51 is dispatched to the fighting couple three different times, and we hear the dispatcher give the address cross street as "Valleyheart," but all three times the subtitles read, "Valley Park." Subtitles from Universal Studios 2010 DVD.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When the self defense instructor tries to use Mrs. Pestone to demonstrate the flip, he puts his arm around her and covers her mouth, then it cuts to a shot of Squad 51 rushing down a street. This particular shot is from 5x8, "The Lighter-Than-Air Man," when Roy drives past the school kids and crossing guard.

Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: During the singles club fire, after Johnny and Roy check the men's room upstairs, there's a shot of firemen in full turnout gear with hoses, and this footage is from the first season's pilot episode, "The Wedsworth-Townsend Act."
9th Jul 2014
Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: During the actual cliff rescue of the hang gliding accident victims, Roy and John are wearing hiking-type shoes with ridges on the soles, not their uniform shoes.

It's How You Play the Game - S4-E19
Other mistake: After Chet says that he doesn't like when people expect too much of him, Squad 51 is dispatched to "man bit by an animal," and when Roy gets into the squad the highly reflective chrome spotlight has been sprayed with a dulling spray, to temporarily dull the surface.
1st Jul 2014
Emergency! (1972)
Other mistake: When Squad 51 is dispatched to an 'unknown type rescue', as the squad rolls out we can see the Crown engine from the show's first two seasons parked in the apparatus bay, instead of 51's current Ward LaFrance.
