The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: What exactly is the mistake here? We are not shown what Lisa did or didn't notice when she was in Skinner's office and I cannot see what mistake there would be in either respect.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: The authorities mention they had been tracking the paintings for quite some time. Being the location of the paintings had been hidden even from those who stole it (Grandpa Simpson & Mr Burns had to get the keys to find it), the authorities would have likely tracked them until they did recover the paintings. If the pair had been tipped off they likely would have not tried to recover the paintings and the authorities might never find them.

The Simpsons (1989)

Correction: We don't know whether the plan was restarted or not. There was enough time in between the two episodes for the union to have taken the issue up with Mr Burns and demanded it back. Much like when the union went on strike to keep the dental plan and eventually won.

Family Guy (1999)

E. Peterbus Unum - S2-E18

Corrected entry: The gas, electricity and water to Petoria have all been cut off, and there is no food in the house, yet all of these things are available and in use later at the big party attended by various world leaders.

Correction: The fact that the various world leaders were able to gain entry to Petoria, it would make sense that the world leaders might have brought food to the party. Even if not, the US army might have given them or allowed them to buy some basic foods. There was no sign of whether gas and electricity were turned back on. They were cooking on a charcoal barbecue and it was daylight during the party.

The Dark Knight (2008)

Corrected entry: When the Joker attacks the police convoy with Harvey Dent, why is it that none of the policemen shoot back at him, or at least tries to defend himself with a gun? There were many policemen out there (some were killed, of course), policemen usually carry guns, and there was enough time between the Joker's attacks to take out a gun and shoot at him. I think I would give guns for people who were transferring one of Gotham's most wanted criminals, and who are expecting to be attacked by the most brutal criminal in town.

Correction: Carrying guns yes, trying to fire them and control the vehicle at the same time is something different. They are traveling at high speeds with a homicidal maniac firing rockets at them. The likelihood they would be able to roll down the window and take him out would not be too smart or effective.

Pineapple Express (2008)

Corrected entry: Saul coughs like crazy from just one hit off the cross-joint, when in actuality a true stoner who blazes all day would be able to take it.

Correction: You're dealing in opinion not fact. Marijuana can vary in potency and in the way you smoke it (i.e. joint, pipe etc.). Even with heavy users some types of marijuana are harder to inhale regardless of usage. In the film he lights one large joint combined with one smaller one. That would be incredibly tough on your lungs no matter how much you smoked.

Correction: How would that be a mistake? He is wearing pink glasses. When he was getting into drugs he started changing things in relation to his appearance.

The Truman Show (1998)

Corrected entry: When they resume transmission after Truman is found on the sea, they cut to a shot of the man sitting in the bathtub. He sits up and appears to turn a knob on the edge of the tub. There is nothing there.

Correction: Looking at the scene, I don't see anything wrong. While it's strange, it is in no way a mistake.

South Park (1997)

Correction: A character mistake on the part of the announcer.

Correction: Spongebob and Patrick are only shown briefly and a number of issues are not known either. For starters they struggle in Sandy's treedome without water but can survive a good period of time. Additionally Sandy is aware of this so might be giving them water, wet herself while they are draped around her etc. Additionally the conditions of the treedome would vary with the seasons. Being it was the beginning of spring it wouldn't likely be quite as hot meaning they would survive a lot longer than say in Summer.

Lummie

Correction: It was part of the bigger joke. A few moments before Sandy came out they (Spongebob and Patrick) were talking about now being prepared to face the cold harsh winter. All of a sudden it goes from freezing cold to Spring in a split second. Everything including Sandy has changed within those moments.

Collateral (2004)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Ruffalo, McGill, and Berg are walking out of the surveillance warehouse to their cars, Berg is caught staring at the camera for a noticeably long period of time. (01:13:10)

Correction: This sort of mistake is generally disallowed, for the fact that when looking towards the camera it is regarded as a "fourth wall" in movies. In many cases characters will look right at the camera to give the perception that it is showing the view from another character's view.

Corrected entry: Spoiler: After Andy escapes the prison and the aftermath of the escape is shown, William Sadler seems to tell his inmates the story of how Andy bought the guards' trust on the roof. He's telling it as if it is told to someone who wasn't there - yet he's telling it to his friends, who were at the scene. It doesn't sound like he's reminding them of the event, but like he's telling the story to someone who wasn't there, like a story. This makes no sense at all, since his friends would know for sure what has happened, and only need to be reminded.

Correction: The film takes place over a period of around twenty years. The story occurred pretty early on in Andy's term and certainly its not entirely clear how long after Andy escaped that the story was retold. It would make perfect sense that retelling the story to even the people there would fit as many details might have been forgotten over such a period of time. Even as he is telling the story he is trying to recall exactly what the guard was saying to him when he grabbed Andy by the shirt.

Demolition Man (1993)

Corrected entry: Phoenix says, "Excuse me Rambo, I need to borrow this" to a soldier statue in the museum, a reference to Stallone's famous Rambo movies.

Correction: Far too obvious to be trivia.

Corrected entry: If Anton Chigurgh is such an "ultimate bad ass," then why would he allow himself to be placed in handcuffs at the beginning of the film? I only saw one officer on scene with Anton. If there were several officers, then it would make better sense. But one officer in the middle of nowhere with the "ultimate bad ass," Anton, doesn't make sense.

Correction: Characters are free to make their own choices and unless he contradicted something it is a character choice. As for why he went peacefully, this was a much simpler plan than going on some high speed chase. At the end of the day there was little if anything to charge him with. If he had sped off it might have meant other officers joining to help pursue him and put him in danger of getting locked up for evading the authorities.

Grey Dawn - S7-E10

Corrected entry: When all the seniors in town are having the meeting at the community centre, there is about 20 of them. But later on, when all the seniors are lining up at the DMV to have their licences taken away, there is a lot more of them.

Correction: That only means not all the seniors showed up for the meeting and there is no mistake in that. Their licenses being taken away would have been law and the seniors would know they have to hand in their licenses.

Event Horizon (1997)

Corrected entry: When the Lewis & Clark is approaching the Event Horizon it matches its speed, yet the two ships continue to close on each others' positions. This might mean that the two ships are travelling towards each other, instead of on the same course, but then matching speed should only take place when the Lewis & Clark is ready to connect to the Event Horizon.

Correction: I don't recall any moment where it is stated that the Event Horizon is actually in motion. They actually have to watch their speed to not crash into the Event Horizon when they approach it.

Lummie

Correction: This is done for dramatic effect. It lands with such force and frightens Patrick and Spongebob. The fact the pencil lands more like a missile fits in with the environment of the show, i.e. That Bikini Bottom has gravity despite being underwater. The fact they are able to launch the pencil back up with the same force shows its not a one off as well.

Lummie

Correction: That's because they are not part of his shirt. Look at when he takes off his pants, his shirt always stays with it but his sleeves never seem to be part of it. Chalk it up to another mystery of the show.

Corrected entry: After two big bust-ups involving CIA ops, Bourne casually passes through passport control in Tangiers. A high profile target like him shouldn't just be able to waltz in and out without someone in security doing a photo id check under Vosen's orders.

Correction: The CIA does not have any jurisdiction or authority in Morocco. They can ask the for the authorities to look out for him but there is no guarantee they will or even if they would spot him. The training Bourne has makes it extremely difficult (as seen in the film) for the CIA to take him out regardless of what precautions they take.
