Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: As Frank (in Larry's skin) pulls the knife out of Julia's stomach, we get a quick closeup of the wound. If you pay attention, some of the blood appears to be unnaturally thick and "goopy" and is "rolling off" of her shirt rather than sticking to it and staining it, revealing it's fake. A lot of fake blood recipes cause this issue... some will stick and stain the fabric, but a lot of it will kind of just roll off because it's sometimes thicker than actual blood.

Revealing mistake: When Joey gets "cut" by the chain in the hospital in the beginning, pay attention. In the shot where she gets "cut," you can plainly see all that happens is the chains slap a little blood on her ankle without any signs of actual damage. Then, a few shots later, there's a very quick closeup of the "cut," and you can see that all they did was paint a little gooey "blood" over the top of her pantyhose, which aren't ripped through at all. (Nor is there a visible cut, either).

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When Julia first encounters the resurrected Frank, as Frank speaks, you can see where the makeup ends around his mouth, and see nice, normal flesh inside his cheeks a few times, even though he's meant to be a gross, rotting shell of a human.

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When Frank's skin is skewered by the hooks in the beginning, it's pretty clear that the skin is just a thin sheet of flesh-colored latex with some fake blood and "meat" behind it. The skin is far too thin and "stretchy" and seems way too "detached" from the tissue behind it.

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When the cenobites appear to Kirsty, you can unfortunately see where Pinhead's makeup abruptly ends around his mouth, just behind his lips, as he speaks.

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When Frank skins the rat in front of Julia in a threatening manner, if you look close, you can see that the actor is simply running the knife through a pre-made cut in the dead-rat prop, and isn't actually skinning it. What really gives it away is that you can kind of see that the skin is already separated at the bottom and even briefly "bends" before the knife reaches it.

Hellraiser (1987)

Revealing mistake: When Frank is solving the puzzle-box in the opening scene, you can pretty blatantly tell when they switch out the prop, because little lines, gaps and shadows appear on the box that weren't there before. (Since it wouldn't be possible for a single prop to do all the different "functions" of the mystical box.) It's most noticeable when the first moving part appears, and you can see several hard "lines" that weren't there in previous shots.

Game Night (2018)

Revealing mistake: During the car chase, there are a few brief moments where you can get a look at the stunt-drivers who are driving the cars in the wideshots. They look similar to the actors... but not exactly the same.

Game Night (2018)

Revealing mistake: When Max and Annie are driving the car towards the Bulgarian's plane, there are a few exterior shot of the car, and you can blatantly tell that "Annie" is a stunt performer in a bad wig. Her head and especially hair look MASSIVE in these shots, compared to how small her head and hair usually are. (It's especially noticeable in the shot that's following the car from behind).

Game Night (2018)

Revealing mistake: Throughout the single shot chase (which was actually multiple takes edited together), during a few moments, you can subtly see where the different takes were stitched together. Ex. When Michelle first gets the egg and runs through the doorway, you can subtly see the white door-frame to the left of her "warp/shrink" a little bit for about a half-second. There is also a few moments where the shots don't quite transition perfectly and you'll get a light "wobble." It's VERY subtle but noticeable.

Game Night (2018)

Revealing mistake: When Brooks throws the kidnapper against the poster case and then punches him, it's painfully obvious his punch didn't connect. His fist is a good 6-8" away from the kidnapper's face. But they still play a punching sound effect and act like he got punched.

Vulgar (2000)

Revealing mistake: When Ed falls on his belly and dies of a heart-attack at the end of the film, if you look closely, you can see the actor is still breathing a few times. He's trying to hold his breath, but every so often, you can see his back subtly raise and lower as he slowly takes a breath in and out.

Freaky (2020)

Revealing mistake: When Millie (in the Butcher's body) knocks out the Butcher (in Millie's body) with the mini-golf club, you can see the Butcher react to being hit a split-second before he/she's actually hit. Slow motion helps, but is not required.

Freaky (2020)

Freaky mistake picture

Revealing mistake: When Millie jumps on her shop teacher's back, the teacher switches from the actor to a stunt double as they begin to tumble about. Noticeably, his hair suddenly gets much darker and has less gray in it. You can also get brief glimpses of his face, and it's obviously not the actor.

TedStixon

Revealing mistake: When Gregory throws Tree through the window during the final fight, as Tree lands, you can see the outline of a stunt-pad on her thigh beneath her pants. You can also tell it's a stunt-woman, as her body is slightly stockier than Tree normally is.

TedStixon

Revealing mistake: When Tree accidentally runs off the hospital roof, you can get a quick but pretty clear look at the stunt-woman's face as she falls, right before she hits the ground. The stunt-woman's body is also very slightly stockier than Tree's actress Jessica Rothe.

TedStixon

Revealing mistake: When Tree kills herself by throwing herself out of a plane, in the shot where she lands in front of Carter and Danielle, it's very blatantly obvious she was filmed on a greenscreen and comped in. The lighting on Tree doesn't quite match the lighting of the scene, and there are very obvious and unnatural hard lines around her hair where the background was rotoscoped/keyed out.

TedStixon

Revealing mistake: When Lin flies down and kicks the evil general into the gears, it's painfully obvious that the actress is on a wire. Her body unnaturally sort of floats as she's performing the kick, then after she's made contact with him, you see her unnaturally move backwards and land on the ground while clutching something invisible (presumably the wire that was painted out) in her hand. When she lands on the ground, it's also clear from her feet not touching the ground "properly" that she's being suspended.

TedStixon

Revealing mistake: During the climax, one of the weasels says "Toon Town's right on the other side of the wall, boss!" If you look, you can see a brick moving completely by itself behind him. It literally just pushes out of the hole in the wall as though it's being pushed from the other side. It seems like the other weasel was supposed to be animated pulling it out, and they somehow forgot to animate that part. (He does reach over and grab it for a split second... but then immediately lets go for some reason).
