Saw 3D (2010)

Corrected entry: When Dr Gordon throws the saw from Hoffman out of the bathroom, it lands in the shadows of the hall way. However, in the very next shot, it is suddenly in the light.

Correction: There are two problems with this mistake. After the hacksaw lands, the camera cuts before it stops moving, so it is still sliding against the floor. Secondly, we don't see the saw in the next shot. We don't see the saw again until several seconds after the first cut. So, we are to assume that the blade slid a few more feet then stopped.

Saw 3D (2010)

Corrected entry: Before Dr. Gordon claps in the Jigsaw Trap survivors meeting, you see everyone looking at him before he even claps. Before that shot, everyone had their attention at Bobby Dagen.

Maxim

Correction: I looked for this mistake when I saw the film in theaters, and I could not find it. I believe this mistake is referring to the clip which was released online before the film's release. The clip was heavily edited, to avoid spoilers, and featured some continuity mistakes as a result of the heavy editing. This mistake is not present in the finished film.

Saw V (2008)

Corrected entry: At the end of the movie when Strahm is chasing Hoffman into a house, Hoffman uses a trapdoor on the 2nd floor to lead into a basement. This proves that Hoffman's personal house is actually the nerve-gas house from Saw 2, only refurbished. This also could mean that the fire that is discussed by the five victims was a fire that cleaned out the Saw 2 house. The eight victims that died in the fire were most likely: Jonas, Xavier, Obi, the prostitute, the man who got his head shot off, the blond girl. The last two bodies found have to have been Adam and Gordon's bodies. This means that the fire was set to get rid of the corpses and then Hoffman bought the home and refurbished it to live in.

Correction: This trivia submission is incorrect for several reasons: 1) The submitter forgot about Zepp's body, meaning 9 bodies would have been found instead of eight, implying it isn't the house that burned down, 2) "Saw 3D" shows us that Dr. Gordon is still alive, and that the bodies of Zepp, Xavier and Adam are still in the bathroom. If the police had found them and filed the report, the bodies would have been removed. Other small circumstances in later films also contradict this theory.

Saw VI (2009)

Corrected entry: The acid is strong enough to dissolve the concrete floor. If it is that strong, wouldn't it have dissolved the container holding it and the tubes connected to the needles?

philip hollyoak

Correction: Because, like in real life, the acid in the film does not have to ability to eat away at everything. The containers are probably made from a substance that the acid does not affect.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: Despite being set in Britain, the detective that visits Kirsty is from the local homicide division. UK police forces don't have homicide divisions.

Correction: Clive Barker has stated that the first film takes place in the U.S., not in Britain (the original film was slightly re-dubbed to sound more "American"), and this film takes place shortly after, in the same general location. Hence, this is not a mistake- they are not in Britain.

TedStixon

Correction: If this is correct, why did Larry say to Julia at the beginning "we are on your turf now"?

The films were originally meant to take place in Britain, but Clive Barker and the producers changed their minds during production and reworked the film slightly so that it would take place in the US. (For example redubbing many of the actors' lines to give them American accents.) The line about Julia being on her "home turf" is therefore now technically a mistake since it's a remnant of the original script. (They likely didn't have time to reshoot the scene to remove the line.) But regardless, Clive Barker has stated that the films as released are intended to take place in the US.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: The two uniformed officers are dressed like US street police and carry guns. UK police are generally unarmed.

Correction: It has been stated by Cliver Barker that the films take place in the U.S., not the UK.

TedStixon

Correction: At the beginning of Hellraiser Larry says to Julia that "we are on your turf" suggesting that they have moved from Brooklyn to Britain (because of Julia's accent).

Drag Me To Hell (2009)

Corrected entry: When Christine is at the gypsy house, she falls on top of the casket, and the old woman's body falls on top of her, expelling a great deal of some type of embalming fluid all over Christine's face and neck. When Christine stands up, she is completely dry.

wizard_of_gore

Correction: This happens several times throughout the film (most noticeable in the "Anvil" scene), and this is to show that the curse is causing Christine mental and physical torment that doesn't necessarily translate into the real world - hence, something might happen to her, but instantly after, she's fine and in good condition. It's all part of Lamia's game - torture her without dealing real damage.

Saw II (2005)

Corrected entry: The saw that Larry threw in the first film is straight and level near the wall. However, in this movie, when Daniel looks down the saw is now at an angle and much further away from the wall.

Correction: As shown in "Saw III", there has been at LEAST one other occasion between the first and second film where another character has entered the room and done something, so the saw may very well have been bumped or moved in the meantime.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: During the song "Chase the Morning," Mag says, "We have both been kept in bondage," yet a few seconds later she has no clue about her being kept in her room and gets told about it. (00:52:15 - 00:53:00)

mrsuperduck

Correction: If you listen to the dialogue/lyrics, after the line about "bondage", Mag never says anything that implies she didn't know of Shilo's being locked away. That was why she said the bondage line in the first place.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: In the song "Chase the Morning" Mag sings to Shiloh about having her mom's eyes and hair, but Shiloh wears a wig.

Adepp

Correction: Two things. First, Mag does not know that Shilo is wearing a wig, hence it is just a slip-up for her and not a mistake. Secondly, we do not know how/when/from what the wig was made, so in all probability, Nathan had the wig tailored to resemble Shilo's mother's hair, as evidenced by his love and guilt for his deceased wife.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: In the song "We Started This Op'ra Shit", when it goes to the view from the DJ Booth (where the old lady is) you can see a cameraman with a tripod off to the side of the rows of people. (01:08:25)

mrsuperduck

Correction: This would be a great mistake, with the exception that the man we see is meant to be a character within the film, who is recording the opera with a camera on a tripod, not the kind of camera used for the film shoot.

TedStixon

Corrected entry: During the song "At the Opera Tonight", when Nathan says, "No chance for peace," he brings the mask forward with it facing toward him. Then in the next cut to him, it is facing the other way around. (01:06:20)

mrsuperduck

Correction: Two problems: the sequence is a montage, and is not shown in real time. Secondly, there is at least a four-second time gap between these shots, in which he could have turned the mask around, so that he could actually put it on.
