Factual error: When the saturation divers open the outer hatch on Kursk, they drop a glow stick. When they do, it falls to the floor on the submarine, indicating the inner hatch was open. The inner hatch of Kursk was closed, later opened by an ROV.

Revealing mistake: When Dandy shoots Penny through the sheet, the second sheet flies out as it's hit with blood. But the sheet he shot through has no hole in it.

Factual error: When one of the Paratroopers gets hung up on a church roof, he reaches for what should be an M3 Trench Knife on his right boot. But if you look closely, it appears to be an M1 Carbine bayonet. This is not only the wrong knife, but M1 Carbines didn't have bayonet lugs until late 1945, if not until Korea.

Factual error: Private Boyce fires 10 rounds from his M1 Garand at the German officer. The M1 Garand or M1 Rifle holds a maximum of 8 rounds.

Factual error: During the plane ride into France, the Paratroopers are holding/carrying their weapons by their sides. In reality, their weapons (M1 Garands, B.A.R.s, etc.) would be carried in special "bags" strapped to their parachute harness. This not only protected their weapons, but also secured them to their person.

Visible crew/equipment: During Marilyn Lovell's nightmare, the crew experiences cabin decompression. Right when the master alarm goes off, you see a piece of monofilament attached to Jim Lovell's suit hose, used to try and simulate zero G to make the hose appear to be floating. (00:13:20)

Continuity mistake: When Lara Jean and Peter are creating the contract, the writing for the "Ski Trip" changes between when Peter writes it and when they sign the contract.

Audio problem: When Ryan and Miller make their way to the bridge, they reload and fire their weapons behind sandbags. Miller begins to fire his Thompson but it jams and we see him try to rack the charging handle to fix it. He then tries to fire again but the gun fails to do so; all while we hear the sound of the Thompson firing. The editors added the sound of it firing despite the fact that it jams in the final cut.

Character mistake: During the opening raid of the FSB safe house, an operator is seen taking hard drives out of a safe. As he does, he states over the radio that they are "SSDs" (Solid State Drives), when in reality they are normal HDDs (Hard Disk Drives), which are noticeably larger than SSDs. (00:07:25)

Factual error: When Goodspeed fires the rocket at Captain Darrow, the rocket back blast would've killed Goodspeed. Despite the fact that he ducks to try and avoid it, the flames would've completely enveloped the room, killing if not serious injuring anything inside.

Revealing mistake: When Elias goes out by himself, there's a closeup shot of him reloading his rifle. He pulls an empty magazine out and puts in a new one. If you look closely, the magazine he loads into his rifle is empty.

Continuity mistake: When Felicia Williams goes to see Mike at the hotel after the accident, her nails change. During the accident, they are a pink color, but after and in the hotel, they are unpainted. It's unlikely she would have her nails done during and after the accident.

Factual error: When Marty walks out of Lorraine's house, next to the front door is a light dimmer switch. Dimmer switches weren't invented until the late 1950s to early 1960s. (00:47:34)

Factual error: When Nate dies by the alien moon rocks, his helmet visor "explodes." The visor in the film shatters like glass, but the real visors on actual spacesuits are made of polycarbonate, a plastic that does not shatter but deforms.

Continuity mistake: When Lincoln shows up to Laz's house and Rae is hiding, she pulls the chain taught at one point. When she does, we see it pulled at the point on the radiator; the shot then cuts showing the entire radiator and the chain is now slack and in a small pile next to it.

Factual error: When Jim Fitzgerald walks up to his cabin, several Ford Crown Victoria sedans are parked around it. The model seen is of the 1998 and final design, while the scene takes place in 1997, a year before it was introduced.

Factual error: When Phillips is aboard the lifeboat, Najee has a pistol pointed at him at one point. The pistol is a 1911, and the hammer is forward when pointed at his head. Najee then fires it, but the hammer was forward the entire time until he fires the pistol. The 1911 is a single action handgun, and will only fire when the hammer is back.

Factual error: During the mountain ambush scene, Agent Memphis gets shot while wearing a steel plate. In reality, he probably would've been seriously injured if not killed by the fragments (called "spall" or "spalling") of the bullet when it hit the plate.

Revealing mistake: In some of the shots where multiple British soldiers are together, most have their rifles (Short Magazine Lee Enfield, No. 1 Mk 3) slung or are holding them. Some of the rifles are dummy, toy rifles that look nothing like the Enfield and are just to stand in.
