Question: When his dog got infected, why didn't the doc use the same cure that worked on the mouse/rat to cure her, or at least try? Did I just miss him doing it? I would think he'd try anything to cure his dog before killing her to keep her from suffering. I know the cure didn't work on humans in the first trial, but it did work on an animal. So...?

Question: Why did Dom and Brian decided to double cross the train heist in the first place? They are already on the run, what differences does it make when they found out the cars they're robbing has been seized by the DEA? Isn't it easier to just complete the job and get the money after the heist is done?
Answer: Dom decided on the double cross when he realised the DEA had seized the cars and Zizi was only interested in one car. It turned out to be a much more complicated job than simply stealing three cars from a collector, they were actually retrieving seized property from the United States government. The crew was hired under false pretenses and he didn't trust his employer to follow through on his end of the deal. Stealing the GT40 was leverage to make sure he and his crew were properly paid for putting their necks on the line and exposing them to even more risk.
Also, he probably had a gut feeling that like you said, the job was not what they thought and didn't trust what Zizi and his crew might do to them after the heist.

Question: Why did they take Cody off the mission just because he was defending himself from some bullies? Also, why did Cody lie to Natalie by saying he was taken off the mission because he became too close to her?
Answer: The fight with the bullies made the school paper and drew unwanted attention to Cody which could compromise his mission. Cody lied to Natalie to try and impress her.

Question: There's a scene toward the end of the movie where Adam sits down with his therapist (Katie). The camera shows a full frontal body shot of Adam as he's sitting down. His pants are wet. It looks like he urinated in his pants. But his wet pants aren't addressed. I don't think I missed anything. Or did I?
Answer: His pants only look wet because of the lighting. The color of the pants and the shadows make it look that way but they aren't really wet.

Behind Enemy Lines (2001)
Question: Why did heat seeking missiles go after the fireball created by fuel instead of the fighter jet? I thought heat seeking missiles went after specific infrared frequencies, and specific temperatures.
Answer: Modern heat seekers are indeed designed to go after certain frequencies in order to better bypass countermeasures. It is still a pretty common Hollywood convention that heat seekers go after the hottest heat source in the area. Part of this is due to audience expectation, as the average viewer might not be aware of modern missile technology and would wonder the opposite of your question: why a heat seeker wouldn't go after a huge explosion that is hotter than a jet. It must also be noted that no system is perfect and in real world situations heat seeking missiles are still prone to be pulled off course by countermeasures, so it isn't entirely unrealistic.

Six Days, Seven Nights (1998)
Question: I noticed that the island they crashed on was "Mata nui." It sounded familiar to me, and Google told me Mata Nui was a Lego Bionicle figure. Since the movie is from 1998 and Bionicle from 2001, Lego must have been inspired by the movie, or what?
Answer: Motu Nui is a real life island, the name means "large island" in Maori. Most likely that is the source of Lego's inspiration for the name. While it is certainly possible that whoever came up with Mata Nui first heard the name Motu Nui in this movie, it is unlikely. Motu Nui is a fairly well known island and also shares its name with a settlement in New Zealand. A fictionalized island called Motu Nui is also the home of Disney princess Moana, which obviously came out after Bionicle but speaks to how well known the name is.
Answer: Thank you. I must have misheard the name in the movie! I will Google Motu Nui now.

Question: When Aang is told by Roku that he must ask questions of the centipede monster, why can't Roku ask the centipede monster the questions, then relay the answers to Aang? Roku is already in the spirit world, and would have course have much more experience in these matters. Aang is already taking on enormous burdens simply by knowing his full identity at 12 instead of, as they say several times, 16, then having to train by going on this enormous journey.
Answer: As the Avatar, Aang's main function is to be the bridge between the spirit world and human world. Roku, being a former Avatar knows that Aang has to learn how to interact with spirits. He's certainly under a heavy burden but that's mainly his fault for running away from his responsibilities in the first place. Difficult or not, this is simply a lesson Aang must learn.

Alien Vs. Predator (2004)
Question: Two questions: 1. When they arrive at the whaling station, Lex states that the pyramid is "directly beneath" the camp, but the map shows that the pyramid is much further away from the station and is definitely not "directly beneath." Why would she say this? 2. When Lex and the Predator leave the pyramid, the platform that they get on goes extremely fast. Why would this be logical at all? Without any kind of stopping mechanism, it would fling the sled far away and severely injure the user. Why?
Answer: 1) This is a goof, most likely left over from an early version of the script when the pyramid was supposed to be directly beneath the whaling station. Clearly on the map the pyramid is a good distance away (some estimates say it's close to half a mile). 2) The winch has to be high powered because it is carrying heavy supplies and equipment for the expedition. Lex uses the sled as fast as it will go in an effort to escape but that doesn't mean it has to be used that way. No doubt under normal circumstances the sled wouldn't need to go so fast and can be stopped normally and safely once it reaches the summit.

Coco (2017)
Question: After Miguel comes back to the land of the living, does the family believe that he went to the Land of the Dead? And if not, then do they believe that Hector got murdered, since the letters to Coco prove that he was the writer of De la Cruz's songs? And if they believe, do they manage to prove this to the general public and that is why they hate him? Or do they just hate him because they discovered that he lied about writing his own songs?
Answer: It is never actually addressed what Miguel told his family about his adventure, so it can't be said whether or not they believe him. It would seem to make sense that he would tell them though, it was a pretty fantastic tale after all and I'm sure he would want to tell his family about it. It would also make sense that his family would believe his story, it's really the only way he could have known that Remember Me was a lullaby Hector used to sing to Coco. The letters Coco saved prove that Hector was the actual writer of De la Cruz's songs and it was later proven to the general public, hence the graffiti on De la Cruz's memorial and a memorial for Hector taking it's rightful place in town. It can also be reasonably assumed that the general public is aware that De la Cruz murdered Hector since the theft of the music and Hector's death go hand in hand. It wouldn't make much sense for people to hate De la Cruz so much if all they thought he did was take credit for his partner's music after his partner was already dead.

Question: In the beginning of the movie it shows the electric motor on an engine hoist, but he hasn't taken the old motor out yet. Wouldn't he need the engine hoist to get old one out before having the new one ready?

Rush Hour (1998)
Question: Why did Lee agree to come with Carter to try and rescue Soo Yung instead of going back to Hong Kong, during their conversation on the plane? They talked about Carter's father and his dislike of the police profession. Why did this change Lee's mind? (01:12:30 - 01:13:05)
Answer: Lee believed Carter was selfish and only cared about finding Soo Yung to further his own career. Carter explained that he was cynical about police work because his father was an excellent cop but was killed during a routine traffic stop. Hearing the story about how Carter's father died showed Lee why Carter acts the way he does. Lee was wrong to write Carter off and he recognizes that Carter really just wants a chance to prove himself. Carter shows Lee that he is willing to accept that there is more to police work than serving your own interests when he says "Prove me wrong." This is what changes Lee's mind.

The Karate Kid (1984)
Question: I've seen this video about how Daniel is the real bully. Can someone please explain how?
Answer: It is important to note that the video in question was obviously facetious in tone. However specifically regarding the fight on the beach, Daniel's fight with Bobby on the soccer field, and Daniel hosing Johnny down in the bathroom it could certainly be argued that Daniel either escalated the situation or directly instigated violent contact. Also of important note, the series Cobra Kai essentially lends credence to these arguments and paints Daniel as a much less honorable hero and Johnny as a much more sympathetic villain.
Answer: Like someone mentioned, that video was pretty much a joke. Daniel was never the bully and like others have mentioned in these q/as Johnny wasn't full bully either. Daniel did however have a temper and exacerbated the situations while Johnny let himself be egged on by Dutch and Kreese. In the Cobra Kai show, Johnny did also exaggerate to Miguel and the other Cobra's and even himself that Daniel was the bully, but he was just deluding himself. And you can see by his expressions that he knew he was lying. If you go back to the beach scene you will see Johnny was being an abusive d**k to Ali and Daniel was the only one that stood up for her. Johnny ripped her stereo out of her hands, broke it and got in her face. Yeah she got right back in his face, but this is when he, as the wrong party should have backed down. He did not so Daniel stepped in. If No One stepped in to help her, they would have been all disgraceful in my eyes. The show and movie are pretty nuanced and quite deep.
Answer: It appears that way at certain times throughout the film, Daniel tends to instigate fights such as getting involved between Johnny and Ali's fight on the beach, and spraying Johnny with the hose in the bathroom. Of course Johnny summed it up when he said to Daniel "You couldn't leave well enough alone."

Coco (2017)
Question: Why doesn't Miguel fall through the bridge like Hector? Miguel doesn't have a picture on the table stand.
Answer: Miguel isn't dead yet. He's slowly fading away the more he stays in the land of the dead and will eventually be stuck there just like everyone else. Until he fades away he can still walk on the bridge but he needs a blessing from a family member in the land of the dead to actually get back.
While yes he is not dead, the rest of the movie becomes entirely pointless since this means he could have just walked back. Security wouldn't have stopped him because he is alive so they know that it is urgent for him to cross the bridge.
He can't just walk back. He can walk on the bridge but he can't actually get back to the land of the living unless he gets a blessing from a family member.
It was Miguel taking the guitar that put him in his dead/not dead state, not crossing the bridge. Miguel was already only able to be seen and interact with the dead while they were all still in the cemetery on the living side of the bridge. It stands to reason then that crossing back to where he started wouldn't help.

Answer: The media circus that would surround the discovery of a real life mermaid would threaten the girl's goal of trying to get Aquamarine and Raymond to fall in love. It's exactly what Cecilia tries to do when she discovers Aquamarine's secret.

Spider-Man 3 (2007)
Question: Why doesn't Aunt May say something to Peter after he tells her that Spider-Man killed Sandman? It was heavily hinted that Aunt May knows Peter is Spider-Man after the hero speech she gave him in the second movie. Wouldn't she be shocked or question him about killing Sandman?
Answer: Well she does express surprise when Peter says Spider-Man killed Marko, stating that "Spider-Man doesn't kill." She then asks Peter what happened. Peter is obviously flustered by this response and asks why Aunt May isn't happy that Marko is dead. Aunt May then gives him a speech about how revenge is like a poison that destroys you and that Uncle Ben wouldn't be happy about Marko's death. So I wouldn't say she doesn't say anything to Peter, she seems to say exactly what he needed to hear.

Question: Wasn't the plan that Monty's father thought about actually bad, at the end? I mean, even if Monty started a new life far from New York and his friends and family and never got recognized, his father would be arrested when coming back to New York. Suddenly him and his father disappear and later on his father gets back to New York, a little bit suspect no?
Answer: Monty's father was suggesting they go into hiding together. He was not suggesting that he would take Monty out west and return to New York himself.

Question: I know that nowadays, the F.B.I. does have operations abroad. However when this film was made 20 years ago showing the F.B.I. operating in Moscow... did the F.B.I. conduct operations outside of the country as depicted? I was under the impression that was the CIA's job.
Answer: It is stated that the FBI is working with their Russian equivalent, the MVD on a joint operation. The FBI primarily focuses on domestic issues but does on occasion engage in operations outside of the United States with the assistance and in the aid of foreign governments. The CIA would not be the appropriate government agency to handle the operation in the movie because that mission is a law enforcement operation. The CIA is strictly an intelligence gathering organization with no law enforcement authority.
Answer: Since 1940 (prior to the CIA being established), the FBI have been stationed in various foreign countries. Usually agent don't have the authority to make arrests, however, they can if Congress has granted the FBI extraterritorial jurisdiction and the host country agrees. The FBI establishes attaché offices, commonly known as legats, in foreign cities. In 1993 there were 21 of these offices and the new FBI director, Louis Freeh, wanted more and by 1997 there were 32. So, yes, 20 years ago the FBI conducted operations in foreign countries. I know currently there's a legat in Moscow, although I don't know when it was established. However, given the nature of the film, it's not unreasonable to think the FBI could quickly set up operations in Moscow, if they were not already established there, with no explanations needed since it's already something the FBI does.
Answer: It is the C.I.A's job to conduct foreign investigations. You're right in that respect. Why the FBI is involved is either unexplained or not mentioned.

Question: When the guys are getting ready to go into town, one of them says about the sarge "as short as he is he's out of here in 30 days." Someone also said "anyone as short as Brownie shouldn't have been out there". What do they mean by short?
Answer: "Short" in this context is military slang for someone whose tour of duty is coming close to an end. It's a derivative of "short-timer."

Question: How did Bobby beat his second opponent in the tournament? I'm talking about the match that was right before the one between Tommy and Daniel.
Answer: The fight isn't shown in it's entirety but the final point is won when Bobby takes his opponent down and hits him with a back fist across the chest.

Answer: He gave the dog the cure and it seemed to work at first but quickly the dog began to turn. Neville was forced to euthanize the dog as a result. The cure wasn't perfected until later in the movie.
