Article Two - S5-E19

Character mistake: During Garth's Filibuster, the Marvel characters come into the Star Wars universe because Thanos is using the Infinity Gauntlet's Reality Gem to cross realities. The gem allows the wielder of the Gauntlet to MOLD reality to his desire, but an Infinity Gauntlet does not work outside it's home universe/dimension, so Thanos wouldn't be able to "jump from different realities" with it. Someone that well-versed in the Marvel Comics universe would know this.

Lady Florence Craye Arrives in New York (or, the Once and Future Ex) - S4-E2

Character mistake: Cheesewright is trying to convince the police to raid the charity ball because alcohol is going to be served. The police chief tells him they stay out of private affairs and Cheesewright replies "The law's the law!" Prohibition made illegal the sale and transport of alcohol, but people were still allowed to have it in their homes or private functions. No laws were being broken. (00:33:30)

Monk (2002)

Mr. Monk and the Badge - S8-E14

Character mistake: When Monk is talking to the cops on the shooting range about the window washer's story, he says that the window washer said he was on the 7th story of the building. But in the press conference Monk saw in the bar, he said he was on the 6th story. Monk isn't likely to forget a detail like that, especially since it's the detail that's bothering him about the story. (00:19:25)

Dark Page - S7-E7

Character mistake: When Troi is talking with Picard and Dr. Crusher about what's wrong with her mother, she says that "something was happening in her metaconscious mind." Dr. Crusher then asks "metaconscious?" As a Star Fleet doctor, she's had to study the neurology of Betazoids, Vulcans, and other telepaths. She should be familiar with the concept. (Yes, it's expository dialogue for us, the audience, however, Picard is in this scene too and it would have made more sense for him to ask about it.) (00:17:55)

Star Trek (1966)

Bread and Circuses - S2-E25

Character mistake: Spock expresses amazement that the natives of this planet speak Earth English, however, he and Kirk were both on the bridge when Uhura tapped into the planet's news broadcast and already know that they speak Earth English, and there's no reason to tell McCoy, because he heard it too. Commenting on it would be illogical. (00:07:00)

Miri - S1-E9

Character mistake: Spock tells Kirk that without being able to test their vaccine with the ship's computers, "it could be a beaker of death." The vessel that the vaccine is contained in is a flask, not a beaker. The ship's science officer should know the difference. (00:37:25)

Re-Animator (1985)

Character mistake: When Cain is attempting CPR on the flatlined patient at the beginning of the film, he tells the other doctor, "She just needs a little more time for the drugs to circulate." Circulation stops at the moment of flatlining. (00:05:25)
