The Good Son (1993)

Corrected entry: After Macaulay drops the "highway man" a large wreck ensues. When he and Elijah get home their is coverage of the wreck that appears on the news. In this coverage there is no mention of the dummy being thrown from the bridge as the cause of the accident.

luchador

Correction: Exactly. The "news" only reports what has been made public. Surely after an accident of this magnitude, there would have been a police investigation. Police do not regularly give all information out via the news, as it would compromise the ongoing investigation. Of course they may not even know a dummy was involved at that point.

Resident Evil (2002)

Corrected entry: Surely in rooms where lethal viruses are handled and stored, even in outer rooms, you wouldn't have a ventilation system connected to the rest of the facility? (00:02:45)

Correction: The entire facility is under the control of the "Red Queen" computer program, who is the one responsible for killing everyone to prevent the infection from leaving. It's very likely she was able to shut down/manipulate the ventilation system to send the air flow to other parts of the Hive.

Jazetopher

No, the original submitter is saying that a room handling that kind of stuff wouldn't have a vent full stop. It's actually pointed out when one of the scientists says its a sealed room.

Ssiscool

The point is that Spence released the virus outside of that chamber, in a chamber that had vents whilst he was walking towards the exit. It's not specifically seen where he releases it. Even so, a secured chamber can still have a vent system, but one that has special filters and a closed circuit. Probably wouldn't have mattered to the Queen though.

Stand By Me (1986)

Corrected entry: When Vern and Gordie and running from the train, Gordie is behind Vern and pushes him off the tracks when they jump at the end. He jumps after Vern, and logically would land on top, but then in the next shot Gordie's landed underneath him.

Correction: Simple explanation. Even if they had jumped onto flat ground, the impact would have made them tumble a little bit, but they jumped onto a steeply inclined hill, which would cause them to roll down it a small distance together, with Gordie ending up underneath Vern.

Stand By Me (1986)

Corrected entry: When Vern loses the comb through the tracks and it falls into the river, its obvious there is a wire or a mechanism to pull it out of his pocket because it slides forward really fast when he's barely moving.

Correction: Actually, there was no trick used here. You can see that every movement Jerry O'Connell makes pushes the comb out of his pocket a little further, but with no help from wires or strings.

Superman II (1980)

Corrected entry: When Superman is flying Lois Lane to his icy fortress, she has nothing but the clothes she is wearing. Later in that scene, she lifts a handbag and tells Superman she is going to change. Where did the bag come from?

Correction: Lois has the bag tucked under her left arm when she and Superman first land at the Fortress, so it was probably just obscured when she was holding onto Superman for the flight.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Grant and Sadler see their first dinosaur, Grant is sitting on the ground looking down a slope with a small lake at the bottom. There are two Brachiosaurs (the huge ones with the long necks) wading ashore. Creatures that big should create a bow wave and wake like a battleship, but the water barely ripples.

Correction: Actually, the wake and waves created by large ships is because the are all one solid piece, displacing a huge amount of water as the move. The Brachiosaurus' in the lake are in the water only up to their legs, four much smaller objects (in relation to the whole dinosaur), moving at different times in the water. Smaller objects (dinosaur's legs) moving slowly equals smaller amount of waves/wake created, so this scene is accurate.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: In the scene where the characters have fallen from the hanging T-Rex fossil and are being surrounded by velociraptors, the camera views across the room showing nothing at all and then back to the velociraptors. Then it swings back and T-Rex just appears out of nowhere and saves the day by eating one of the velociraptors. How did it get in? We just saw there was nothing there, and they've already elaborated about how much noise a T-Rex makes when it's close, the water ripples, the shaking, and pure noise.

Correction: Previously submitted and corrected entry.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: In the scene where Tim, Lex, and Grant are watching the dinosaur, it spits on Lex. Later the spit disappears.

Correction: After the Brachiosaurus "sneezes" on Lex, we hear Tim say "Bless You" and the scene ends. We do not see Dr. Grant or the kids again until well into the next morning, plenty of time to have simply wiped it off, as she is still seen to be quite messy.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Correction: Already submitted, complete with timecode.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: After Nedry has crashed his Jeep, he gets out and starts pulling out the cord in front of the Jeep to tie it to a nearby tree. In one shot, you see him pulling out the cord. In the next shot, you see him talking. In the shot after that, you see him once again beginning to pull out the cord when he had already started doing this two shots earlier.

Correction: The second time you see him pulling the cord from the winch, he is not just beginning again. He is, in fact, pulling more cord from the winch, as shown in the next shot. Notice how much slack he has in the line when he ties it around the tree.

Correction: It is not the same tree.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: If you play the film in slow motion just as the Dilophosaurus opens its frill for the first time, you can see that it is folded around the puppet's neck like an umbrella instead of being skin-tight and indistinguishable as it was previously.

Correction: Even in slo-mo, this was hard to see, thus disqualifying this per the rules of this site. Furthermore, it looks flawless at normal viewing speed.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: With some of the electric fences it seems that the wires enter the bushes and just disappear. If the fence wires really do continue, we would surely see more columns appearing in the bushes.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: Near the end of the movie, when the raptor is in the control room, the people (Alan, Ellie, Lex, and Tim) crawl into a suspended ceiling. A suspended ceiling should not be able to support the weight of four people.

Correction: Since Dr. Hammond "spared no expense" in building the park, we have no way of knowing what material the ceiling is made from, or how sturdy it is, so this "mistake" is pure speculation, not a factual error.

Jurassic Park (1993)

Corrected entry: When Hammond, the Lawyer, Alan, Ellie, and Ian are having lunch and debating the morals of cloning dinos, their hands are in drastically different positions almost every time the camera angle changes. This happens several times in this scene.

Correction: Most people "talk with their hands" meaning they move them around alot when talking. As they are having a discussion, on a topic they all have strong convictions for one way or the other, it is not suprising that their hands move when talking. Besides, it only takes a split second to move your hands, so the difference between shots is completely realistic.

Corrected entry: In the scene in the beginning at the mall when Marty is being chased by the Libyans, the tripmeter on the Delorean goes from about 17 miles to 87 miles in a matter of seconds.

Correction: The inconsistency of the trip counter has already been submitted.

Corrected entry: When Walter falls from the roof and is hanging on the edge, his feet are the only part which are in front of the window, when shot from outside. Yet the shot from inside the house, looking out the same window, shows Walter from the waist down. (01:05:10)

Correction: Walter is at least a few feet from the window on the roof overhang, and the boys are all sitting on the floor when they look out the window. From their angle they can see more of Walter, much the same way you can see more of a taller object (tree, building, etc.) from a seated position as opposed to a standing one.

The Lost Boys (1987)

Corrected entry: During the grand finale when the vampires are in Sam's house, he shoots Dwayne with a bow and arrow and Dwayne falls to the floor pretending to be dead. His left arm is down his side. The shot changes to Sam who is looking at him and then returns to Dwayne whose left arm is now up next to his head so that he can push himself off the floor. (01:22:15)

Correction: Just like you said, he is "pretending" to be dead, hence is alive and able to move. In fact, that is part of his plan to jump up and attack Sam when he comes closer. The shot cuts away long enough for him to have moved his arm.

Desperado (1995)

Corrected entry: El Mariachi is crouching with Carolina in his arms during the scene on the rooftop, watching Bucho and his men arrive at the burning bookstore across the street. They were in open view, near the roof's edge, yet none of Bucho's men saw them even when facing that direction. Are the thugs all blind?

Correction: Bucho and his "thugs" were arriving to the bookstore on fire. There would be no reason for them to look anywhere else but at the burning building, as that is what made them go there in the first place.

Desperado (1995)

Correction: This "deliberate mistake" was deliberate, but not a mistake. He is trying to keep her safe, and by calling her a different name, he helps maintain some bit of secrecy. After all, people in the town know her, and if someone came looking for Antonio Banderas' character, they might try to get to her.
