Revealing mistake: In the beginning when General Lee approaches the pile of dirt when the road runs out, the dirt pile is small but when the shot changes to side view so you can see the car jump, the pile of dirt is now much more "ramp like".

Lake Placid (1999)

Deliberate mistake: While Hector is in the water with the crocodile, he yells to the female officer to start the helicopter by turning the key. It takes a lot more than just the key to start a Bell Jet Ranger helicopter. Fuel shutoff valve, throttle, key, and the main rotor doesn't start rotating until the throttle on the collective stick is turned to a specific position.

Suggested correction: There is nothing in the opening shots that betray it as a model shot. Logic alone argues against it. Why would they go to the expense of building a detailed model when there is no unusual action or angles required? Especially since many of the shots are obviously not a model. Exactly how is it obviously a model?

I agree it does look like it's a model train, but that's only because of the filming techniques that make it appear to run a little choppier like it's was a light weight model. But it's real, for example in one scene that looks like it's a model, you see a real bird flying on screen.

Revealing mistake: When the helicopter lands in the field due to lack of fuel, you can tell by the disturbed ground that the helicopter has landed there several times, or at least it was prepared ahead of time. (01:26:40)

Continuity mistake: When the girls are talking in the cabin after they find out they are sisters, Sharon is holding a cup of ice cream. When the shot alternates from rear to front views, the spoon is in her hand, then in the cup, then back in her hand again.

Super Size Me (2004)

Factual error: Morgan says that french fries are one of the seven items on McDonalds menu that doesn't contain sugar. French fries, in fact, do contain dextrose - a form of sugar. This is mentioned on DVD commentary.

Revealing mistake: The same extras can be seen in several different crowd scenes. Specifically, the same people can be seen in the crowd that storms the computer fair and in the auditorium when Steve Jobs makes his final speech.

Continuity mistake: After the old folks turn into kids, Harry, the boy with the glasses, is seen climbing up the side of the house, yet in the next shot, he is running through the bushes toward the camera.
