Poseidon (2006)

Factual error: When the ballast tank valves open, they open by dropping down, which would be impossible with the pressure of the water pressing against it. Regardless of the domino effect of the water flowing, it's tremendous pressure.

Suggested correction: It's actually very much possible. These PRV are designed to open when the pressure in the tank reaches a certain setting, which is equal to or slightly higher than the max design pressure of the tank. Plus, a gate valve of that size can only be operated with hydraulic oil plungers, capable of generating 150+ bar to lift the valve in a normal operation. Since the ship is upside down, the valve slides down; the weight of the valve then would require less hydraulic pressure to open.

Definitely, Maybe (2008)

Factual error: Throughout the movie, which mainly takes place in the early and mid 90's, the cars that are seen are from the late 90's and early 2000's. The easiest to spot are the taxis, which are the 1998 and above versions of the Ford Crown Victoria.

Until Death (2007)

Factual error: During the big shootout at the end, Stowe picks up a Beretta semi-automatic gun after killing the owner, who is trying to reload it. Stowe inserts a magazine, sends the slide forward, and then racks the slide. A complete round should have ejected but did not.

Last Man Standing (1996)

Factual error: When Smith shoots the first man with his twin .45s, the man flies back about 30-40 feet. In reality, he might fall back a foot or two, but he certainly wouldn't be propelled anywhere by simple bullets.

The Condemned (2007)

Factual error: When Jack pulls the battery plate out of the battery to conceal his GPS signal, he slides it out easily. For one, the plates are perforated and second, they're attached inside of the battery. Also, when they show the top of the battery, the hole is too small for him to slide the plate out, and he's not strong enough to tear the plastic by hand.

The Condemned (2007)

Factual error: When the Brit is firing the shotgun, he fires it nearly a dozen times. The capacity of a short shotgun like that would be 7 at the most.

Factual error: It's been proven that when falling fast towards water, breaking the surface tension makes no difference in it's "softness", yet XXX is fine when he falls into the water after shooting it. If he fell for 5 seconds he would be going 60-70 mph and would certainly be injured or killed upon impact.

Factual error: The Cobra is doing about 160-170 when XXX jumps onto the tracks. At that speed, any sort of erratic movement would cause the complete loss of control, even without jumping tracks to get airborne. (01:24:20)

Factual error: In the first fire scene, Chuck and Larry go into an actively burning building with no air masks on - that would NEVER happen.

Until Death (2007)

Factual error: In the restaurant shootout, the man shoots at Stowe with a 12 gauge shotgun from just a few feet away. When the projectiles hit the wall, there are only four or five and have approximately a 6 inch spread. Even an open choke shotgun with a short barrel would have a 2-3" spread at most at that range.

Until Death (2007)

Factual error: When the older cop is in the trench at the end and his pistol runs empty, the slide doesn't lock to the rear as a Beretta should.

Until Death (2007)

Factual error: When Stowe and Callaghan shoot each other at the end, the CGI shell casings have huge, unrealistic primers.

Killer - S6-E15

Factual error: Brown states that silencers are not able to be purchased and are illegal. Not true. A silencer can be legally purchased providing the proper forms are completed with the ATF.

Ian Hunt

Factual error: Firemen are no longer allowed to hang onto the side of a moving firetruck like depicted in the beginning of the movie.

The Negotiator (1998)

Factual error: When Sabian views Niebaum's chair, you can see the bullet holes through the chair and into the desk behind it. The SWAT members were using 9mm MP5s, and they would use hollow point ammunition. Hollowpoints bloom when entering the body and do not pass through. Even if they used full metal jacket rounds, 9mm still wouldn't pass through a 250 lb man, a chair, and into a metal desk.

Superbad (2007)

Factual error: When Fogle shoots the cop's pistol at the burning police car, the safety on the Smith and Wesson pistol is activated. He fires the weapon until it is empty and continues to dry fire (click) the pistol anyway. On the Smith and Wesson, the side levers are in Safe mode when pushed down. When the last round is fired, the slide locks back and the gun wouldn't be able to dry fire.

Black Dog (1998)

Factual error: When Patrick Swayze's truck was pushing the other truck up the bridge, there was no airflow going over the radiator. Under the enormous stress that the engine was going through (read: heat generation) there's no way it wouldn't have overheated, and quickly. (00:47:05)

The Wicker Man (2006)

Factual error: Willow drops cartridges on the ground that appear to be .45ACP rounds. These are considerably larger than the 9mm rounds that Edward's Beretta pistol would actually use.

Lethal Weapon 2 (1989)

Factual error: When Riggs and Murtaugh rappel from the container they have no gloves. Considering how fast they descended 20-30 feet, their hands would have suffered very bad rope burn.

Factual error: At the Talladega 500 race you can see the Food City 500 logo in the infield when they show the blimp view of the track.
