Continuity mistake: When Chigurh enters the hotel room and encounters the Mexicans, he shoots the guy on the bed. He then shoots the wall next to the TV. The bullet holes on the wall are behind the TV. The TV does not receive any damage from the gun blast. The angle is such that it looks like the TV should have been damaged by the bullets.

Factual error: The basketball rims used in the movie are of the modern basketball era with "breakaway" rims. Such a rim was not used until after 1979, when Darryl Dawkins broke his first backboard in a game against the Kansas City Kings in November 1979.

Revealing mistake: After CD has swoon Roxanna for Chris, Charlie falls out of a tree in front of the old ladies. If you look close you can see a darker patch of grass that CD falls in. It's clear it's placed there as a soft landing pad for the stunt man to hit.

Continuity mistake: The marks on Rae's face change. When she is in the truck with Lazarus outside the stores, the marks on her face are almost gone. Just a few minutes later when she is talking to he mother the marks are worse.

Continuity mistake: When you see Mason sitting in his corner and he leans over to look at Rocky and then you see Rocky's calf flex. Dixon is not wearing boxing gloves, he only has tape on his hands.

Audio problem: Rocky is trying to convince Marie to work at his restaurant, outside of her apartment. The close up shot of him talking about a bus coming down the street and hitting him does not match his mouth movements, when they go to a long shot.

Continuity mistake: When Elijah Wood wakes up the next morning after being in his first fight he has a bad bruise on his left eye/cheek. In the next scene at the breakfast cart the bruise is gone, only a few scratches are visible.

Visible crew/equipment: When Ariel is jumping from her car to the truck we catch a reflection of the "TRUCK" in the window of HER car. What we see is the rounded end of a silver vehicle. The truck has a flat bed.

Factual error: During one of the many driving scenes we see many cars on the side streets. At one point you can see a Mercedes-Benz ML SUV parked on a corner. This model SUV was not made until 2000-2001. Since the movie is set in the mid 80's this is impossible.

Other mistake: When Peter Parker is walking down the streets of NYC on his first day as a "normal, powerless human" It is clear that the people in the background are not extras. You can see several people watching him during the shooting of the scenes.

Other mistake: When Harrison Ford returns to the crime scene to search for "evidence" we see blood stains on the carpet, which has been on the carpet for days. The blood is bright red and shows no signs of coagulation, but blood turns dark red when it coagulates after only a few hours.

Continuity mistake: At the end of the film on the Frozen Lake Bobby is driving in the black SUV. We see many shots of the SUV moving towards the group of men. It is clear that there are no tire tracks in front of the SUV. When we see a close up of the SUV driving "at us" you can see tire tracks in front of the SUV. Most likely made by the vehicle with the camera on it.

Continuity mistake: When Victor and Amelia are talking in the book store, Victor cleans her glasses with his handkerchief. In one shot he is putting his handkerchief away in his back pocket. Then in the next shot he is putting his handkerchief away again.
