Continuity mistake: When the police unearth the body of Ms. Bennett, she is deep in the hole where she was interred. However in the flashback, the killer dumped her into a really shallow grave, in fact most of her was exposed.

Factual error: Every Time the Shadow Raiders deploy to Somalia, they use a Blackhawk nicknamed "Adele" for their missions. I can understand the helos being transported via fixed-wing aircraft, but on their last mission they leave Georgia, and reach Somalia the same day, flying in the Blackhawks. It would take them some 15-20 hours not including fuel stops. Yet the mission is completed in the time it takes to find a bomb in downtown Atlanta.

Factual error: As HMS Britannia sails North, there is a disabled symbol on her stern. Pretty sure the RN wasn't interested in disabled accessibility in the 1950's.

Character mistake: Rosie and Villa may be at the pinnacle of their respective careers, but neither knows squat about cars. Villa identifies the burned out hulk of a Pontiac as a '71 Lemans, when it is obviously a '70. Then Rosie has the gall to disparage a '69 GTO as a lemon, when everybody and his brother prefers the 69 over its predecessor, to the tune of more than $10K.

Character mistake: In an early episode, Villa mentions Rosewood's "banana colored" '69 GTO to his then girlfriend. Rosewood's GTO is a "banana colored" '68 GTO.

Fight or Flight - S1-E4

Factual error: When Michael attempts to start the Charger, the starter just clicks, indicative of a dead battery or faulty starter. He checks his father's logbook and reads "spark plugs." Unless the cylinders are filled with an non-compressible liquid, there is no way that spark plugs are going to prevent the engine from cranking.

Factual error: Throughout the entire movie, the SBD Dauntlesses they are working on have the national insignia with the red ball in the center. This was discontinued in May 1942.

Factual error: When Sterling Hayden reminisces about his first tour, he is watching F4U Corsairs landing aboard in 1944. However, the planes are marked in the post-war red bar insignia.

Factual error: McVay gives the order to cease zigzagging, full speed ahead, but the Japanese sub commander gives the target speed of 12 knots for the torpedo solution. The Indianapolis was capable of a speed in excess of 30 knots.

The Family Car - S3-E7

Factual error: After the failure to get a new car, the family is sitting around disconsolately watching TV, when a commercial for a new Camaro comes on. However, the Camaro shown is a second generation unit, not introduced until February of 1970, and the Arnolds are still stuck in 1969.

Kanaka Hahai - S6-E18

Factual error: In episode 17, Danny's Camaro is subjected to a number of bursts from a mini-gun, riddling it from stem to stern. In episode 18, Danny's daughter mentions that he had just had it repaired. There is no way an insurance company would not total that vehicle, since it would require replacing or using "Bondo" on virtually every body panel, not to mention mechanical repairs.

Chasing Ghosts - S10-E20

Character mistake: Ducky states that the Romans believed that the vein of 4th finger on the left hand ran directly to the heart, thus, logically, it was the "ring" finger. However, there is no evidence that the belief originated with the Romans, nor that the 4th finger has a special vein...the fingers in the hand have a similar vein structure.

Continuity mistake: When Jervis returns Julie to her suite after a night of dancing, he picks up a morning paper, reads some excerpts from it, then says goodnight to her. As she opens the door, all he has in his hands is his boater, no newspaper, and in the following long shot, no paper is visible anywhere.

Factual error: At the beginning of the movie, the Battle of Scheveveningen (1653) is depicted. However some of the British ships sport a gaff-rigged mizzen spanker, which was not introduced until late in the next century.

Factual error: St. Ives is invited to sit in a Lincoln Continental. When he does, one of the owner's subordinates opens fire with a machine gun having what appears to be a 50-round clip. Problem is, he fires over a hundred rounds.

Factual error: When Berenger and Zane are resting, Berenger brings up the "best steelhead fishing" in the state of Montana. Since a steelhead has to migrate to the sea and return to be a steelhead, there is no ocean access to rivers in Montana.

Factual error: Enid, the telegraph operator, exclaims that "He is sending an SOS." However, in the 19th century, distress calls did not include the letters "SOS," It was not until the early 20th Century that SOS was chosen as the international distress call.
