The Inbetweeners mistake picture

Thorpe Park - S1-E3

Deliberate mistake: In the scene where Jay spots the "car full o' muff" and they follow the car until it turns left (just after Jay says he'd "give a left bollock for em"), when it pulls away, the shot is flipped. The number plate is reversed, all of the logos on the back of the car are backwards, and the car is actually turning right, as it heads to the right hand side of the road. The shot is just flipped to make it look like they're turning left. (00:10:50)

Show generally

Question: What is up with all of the random clips in the intro to the show? Only a select few appear in the show, and they all look like they were recorded using a camcorder which has been held up to a TV screen. Most have nothing to do with the show whatsoever. One involves some Japanese cartoon, another involves some kind of suit closing around someone's head, another shows someone skiing down a ski slope while on fire. Why?

Chosen answer: Wikipedia has a list of all the references from the opening. Since children are more impressionable, they tend to remember certain aspects of different things. The bits you see may indicate the scattered thoughts of youth, and how things can go by in a quick flash, whilst only remembering significant parts (in this case, it seems to be violence-orientated).

Trivia: In the scene where the large space shuttle-style ship is landing on Pandora at the start (that carries Jake and co.), we can see shots of the ground. One panning shot shows an extremely large mining vehicle that has large arms with several buckets attached to the round sides of cylinders on each arm. The machine is huge and looks unreal, but it is actually a replica (or of similar design) to a digging machine that exists today. It was designed by Krupps, and is the largest digging machine in the world. It can be viewed here: http://www.swapmeetdave.com/Humor/Workshop/Trencher.htm. (00:04:00)

Deliberate mistake: During the train sequence at the end of the film in 1885, it is blatantly obvious that the train is not going the speed that the DeLorean's speedometer is showing. In some shots, the train looks as though it is going little more than 20mph. (01:38:55)
