Factual error: In the climax of the movie, Nicholas Cage uses a nail gun like a marksman, hitting with precision the bad guy that holds his wife tight. Besides this skill of his coming out of left field, a nail gun does needs a surface against the opening. It does not shoot nails in the air without pressure being applied, it's a Hollywood trope. Continuity mistake: Avery asks her mum permission to go to a party. She replies in the end "Well, I said no" just as the dad arrives. The hair on her shoulder/upper arm changes position between shots. (00:02:40)
Continuity mistake: When Sarah offers her husband a glass of wine, she is holding her own glass with her fingers pointing up or level depending on the shot. (00:09:20)
