I am looking for a movie title I saw in the late 1980s. It is about a man who has escaped from an insane asylum. He is accused of being a pathological liar, but it turns out everything he has said is true. I think it ends showing him leaving town on a bus, and I think it might start with him arriving in town on a bus. Can anyone help me with the title to this film?

I cannot remember much of this movie but I loved it as a kid. It might have been a 90s movie. I don't think it had any popular actors in it either. It's about a young girl who was kept in a shed by her dad for most of her life. I believe she was mute because of it. Some kids found the girl and sneaked her out with them a few times. The girl and her mother were abused. That is all I know. I hope someone can help. This has been bugging me for months. :) Thank you.

Answer: Sounds like it could be Wildflower, a 1991 made for TV movie.

I'm looking for a title of a TV movie from the 70s or early 80s where a young lady is kidnapped and held hostage at a cabin in the woods. She falls in love with her kidnapper and I believe at the end he gets shot and dies.

Answer: From your description it sounds like a 1975 made to TV movie titled "Sweet Hostage," starring Martin Sheen and Linda Blair.

Trying to remember the film name. I remember a film where a woman is in an abusive relationship and at one point she's taken out on a fishing boat and she's chucked into the river with her feet in a bucket of cement (or it may be chains). She's saved by the police, I think. (They may have been bad?) Also, she looked to her male neighbor for help, who also turned out to be bad, I think! I remember the scene where it's a field near the water, and there's a dock. Sorry, it's all I remember.

Chosen answer: That sounds like Head Above Water with Cameron Diaz.

I watched half of a movie; it was kind of a dark comedy. It had an English setting and characters, about a house that hired an English nanny or maid, and she had this large old luggage trunk. The movie constantly implied that she had a body hidden in it, but since I never saw the end, I never got to find out!

Answer: "Keeping Mum" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0444653/.

Hi, I'm looking for a foreign film (I think) about two teenage girls who become friends. One is rich and promiscuous and the other is poor. The poor girl sleeps with an older man, and her brother (or dad, I don't remember well) is a drunk, but he turns religious and says he's saved. The rich and the poor girl become involved romantically but the rich one is only playing with her while the poor one I think does fall for her. At the beginning, the poor girl uses this beat up motorized scooter and that's how she gets around the desolated city. The father of the rich girl cheats on her mom and they follow him one time to where he's sleeping with the mistress. It might be French; not sure.

Answer: It's actually British: My Summer of Love http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382189/.

I saw a movie quite a few years ago now, I think it was a TV movie. It was about a girl who was raped on her way home from work (waitressing, I think) and became pregnant, I think her father didn't believe it and thought she was just a slut. A guy who she liked started seeing her, feeling pity for her and they married. I believe they went on to have another child. After tests to find a donor match when one of the kids falls sick, it transpires that her husband is the person who raped her years earlier. I'm sure she has a children's book published near the end of the movie, something along the lines of 'the magic quilt'. Can anyone help with a title?

Purple_Girl

Chosen answer: I think the movie is called Sin & Redemption. It was a Lifetime TV movie starring Richard Greico and Cynthia Gibb.

I am trying to remember the name of a movie released in the 80's and maybe early 90's where the main actor wakes up in the morning and does not recall what happened the night. The setting was in Los Angeles (the Valley maybe). Anyone can help?

Answer: It could be Clean Slate (1994) with Dana Carvey.

Gavin Jackson

I am trying to find a name of a movie in the late 80's possibly early 90's with a little girl who doesn't talk to anyone and isn't allowed to have toys. She has a nanny, the nanny makes her a doll with button eyes and the little girl then only talk to the nanny and the doll. The nanny has a boyfriend who wants to marry her. In the end the nanny steals the girl.

Answer: That movie is called "Zelley and Me."

I am looking for the title of a movie. I watched it on Lifetime and I remember some of the details. There are 2 girls. One of them becomes friends with the other. One of them had a sister, who had a disease that lead to mental illness. The sister was killing people so the dad had to kill her with a rock in a shed. The one who had the sister is now being possessed by the sister and doing the same things as her. She tries to take peoples things and if they say no she harms and kills them. The other girl finds a victim tied up in the shed which is covered with oil. She helps her and they try to escape but the door is jammed. It starts to catch on fire when the dad saves them. I think it was from around 2009 or 2010 but I'm not sure.

Answer: I love this movie! It''s called "Within" with Sammi Hanratty and Mia Ford.

A clothed man is running on a beach being chased by huge balls. They seem to be giant inflatable balls, all yellow, with evil purpose. He is older and not athletic and I have the image of Peter Davison which makes me think its from a Doctor Who episode. I've searched every Doctor Who episode though and cannot find the scene. Does anyone know what episode or movie this is from?

Answer: If the ball is white rather than yellow, it could be "The Prisoner," starring Patrick McGoohan. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0061287/)

Captain Defenestrator

Maybe a TV movie from the 70s about 2 cops that walk a beat in a bad neighborhood and try to clean it up. End up getting shot in the back. I think the title is both of their last names?

Answer: It might be the 1975 made-for-TV movie Foster and Laurie.

Chanteuse66

There was a cartoon, I don't remember what channel, that was on during the 90s (I think) about a detective or an inspector who's last name was Watermelon. I cannot for the life of me remember what the show was called. I've Googled every keyword I can think of but I can't find it.

THGhost

Chosen answer: Walter Melon was a 1998 animated TV show, adapted from the Franco-Belgian comic and television series Achille Talon. The show aired in the United States on the Fox Family Channel during 1998 and 1999. Walter Melon and his assistant Bitterbug run a company as "heroes for hire. Whenever superheroes get in trouble, get sick, or fall victim to their villains' latest scheme, Melon and Bitterbug (Lefuneste) take their places temporarily.

80's or 90's movie that starts with a girl crossing the street and there is a man in a car checking her out, her dress blows up and her underwear say something (i love you), he thinks she's beautiful. Later in the movie she changes her looks to a more crazy punk look and I think it's because she's hiding from someone. This guy ends up helping her somehow and falling for her. I remember they are climbing a ladder to get away from someone and he sees he underwear and realizes she's the girl he saw before and thought she was beautiful.

Answer: It was Breaking All The Rules, from 1985.

I am trying to remember a film that I think takes place at a summer camp (or at least some place with lot of kids). In it there is a scene where several boys fake a groin injury so the attractive female nurse will touch them.

LorgSkyegon

Chosen answer: The scene you describe makes me think of the 1985 TV movie "Poison Ivy," starring Michael J. Fox (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089820/), or maybe the 1984 film "Oddballs".

Captain Defenestrator

Saw a movie in the late 90's or in the early 2000's. An adventure about an elder man and a kid (maybe two kids) that finds or are in possession of something - a book or medallion or something that made things from the past appear in their time. I remember lions and a hunter chasing them with bad intents. A lot of other things chased them as well, but I remembered those things specifically. I only remember one particular scene which involves the hunter entering a weapons shop trying to buy ammunition for his old rifle, and the clerk clarifies that the round the hunter displays has not been for sale in a long time.

Sweden

Chosen answer: Sounds like Jumanji, starring Robin Williams. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0113497/)

What was that movie that had a one word title starting with L. There is this teacher in it who looks quite young has dark hair, during night he goes to a bar to dance. Then there is a blonde short haired women who is his student and has got a crush on him. She sees him in the bar and starts to hit on him in class. He refuses. She goes in the bar too and he drops her home on his bike. That's all I remember. I had seen this movie on TV in between 2003-2006.

Answer: Lambada. http://uk.imdb.com/title/tt0099969/.

What is the movie where the dance teacher dates one of his student's mom just so he can stalk the student himself? It's one of those scary movies.

Answer: The Obsession, starring Daphne Zuniga and Sebastian Spence.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0818124/.

My question is about a television show my sister and I watched as kids (probably sometime between '94 and '97). It was a show about a man who had some type of conservatory/atrium-type thing behind his home where he kept zoo animals. I believe he had a gorilla and a lion. The animals could talk, but the protagonist was the only one they would talk to. He never told anyone that the animals could talk for fear that they would think he was crazy, and, if I remember correctly, he even believed himself that he may be crazy. I don't remember what channel it would have been on, but I'm pretty sure it aired during the day. It can't have been very popular because, even back then, no one else I knew watched it or had even heard of it.

SaraScak

Chosen answer: This sounds like it could be the Hanna-Barbara cartoon Shirt Tales (1980) - it aired first on NBC then Cartoon Network.
