I own this game on Steam.

My first foray into the Darksiders franchise. And I like it!
This game is pretty fun. A simple hack and slash game with elements of Zelda like dungeon crawling and exploration.
Set in a post apocalyptic world, you play as War, one of the Four Horseman, who is framed for causing Armageddon prematurely. It is up to War to uncover the truth of what happened and try to set things right and clear his name.

You will fight through both the forces of Hell and the legions of Heaven while also dealing with the undead remains of Humans.
The game isn't all too long really, especially if you know what you're doing. I completed my Apocalyptic difficulty run in about 13 hours, but I was not trying to speed run. I did my normal run as my first play through in about 40 hours. I like to explore and take in everything a game has to offer me.

The achievements aren't too difficult, and you'll likely get most just through your regular play through of the game. Some you'll have to go out of your way to get, like killing 100 enemies with items from the environment. Or a couple of grind heavy ones like riding your horse for 100 miles or grinding enough souls to buy everything from Vulgrim's shop. But nothing too taxing. There's some helpful tricks you can use to make the souls and weapon experience grinding much faster and easier, just look through the guides on Steam.

I give this a good thumbs up. Just be sure and play the Warmastered edition to avoid the bugs and some game breaking issues with the original version.

Mistake Status: This game has a lot and I submitted several. I still have some of the cut scenes and stuff recorded that I'll go back through and comb for more mistakes.

Bug: The Ashlands: There is a hole in the ground towards the back with the climbable wall that leads down into the water below. There is a bug that causes the Abysmal Riders to spawn a new set every time you climb back up out of that hole. So each time you go down and climb back up, 2 to 4 of these enemies will spawn out in the desert close by and start riding around in circles. You can continue to jump down the hole and climb back out causing more and more to spawn creating an army of Abysmal Riders out there which you can then lead into a cave to farm XP and souls off.

Trivia: The Apocalypse/Mayhem: During the cut scene where you see Abaddon and before you fight Straga, there is a moment when a Minion Demon tackles an Angel out of the sky next to a billboard on a building. If you look closely at that sign, there are various names on it. These names are people who are part of the Darksiders' development team. Names including John Tran, Howard Tang, Bri Thatcher, Nick Southam, Chris Doerr, Jeremy Robins, Pedro Seminario, and more.
