Star Trek Into Darkness

Character mistake: During the scene with Kirk and Khan "space-flying" over to the Vengence, Bones loudly tells Kirk that he's "off course", with Karl Urban mistakenly falling into his New Zealand accent when saying "course."

Continuity mistake: Just before Spock and Kirk go to seek out Harrison, Kirk is examined by Bones. During the examination Bones is wearing a pinky ring, it's then gone, and then back again.

Other mistake: After the Enterprise is disabled by the Vengeance and falls out of warp, Kirk and Spock have a discussion in one of the corridors about letting Khan help incapacitate the attacking ship. Watch behind them. The ship is running under Red, but the crew members are walking past them calmly, some even watching their conversation as they pass! Not really Red Alert protocol... In fact, through all of this, only one crewman runs past in the entire sequence.

Bones: Jim, you're not actually going after this guy, are you?
James T. Kirk: I have no idea what I'm supposed to do, I only know what I can do.

Trivia: As Kirk, Spock, and Uhura head to the shuttle bay for their mission to Kronos to capture Khan, Sulu orders crew to prepare the vessel that was confiscated in the Mudd incident. This is a reference to Harry Mudd, a roguish character who appeared in the original Star Trek series in the episodes titled,"I, Mudd" and "Mudd's Women." Harry Mudd, played by Roger C. Carmel, was the only non-regular character to appear in more than one episode on the original Star Trek series. Carmel was slated to reprise the role in Star Trek: TNG, but he died before the episode could be filmed. (00:44:25)

Question: Spock stops a volcano from erupting by detonating a cold fusion device that causes ice to form over the volcano. I have problem with that because where would all the pressure inside the volcano go? All that pressure would have gone somewhere.

Answer: Unless the cold fusion went directly into the volcano, all the way to the source of the pressure.
